This place caught my eye bc of the little neon green Alien guys outside! At 1st glance, I wouldn't have thought food but with their playful menu & already great rating, we had to check it out. It's a seat yourself, laid back atmosphere with memorabilia ALL OVER THE PLACE. A Cpl of pools tables, retro games to play, arcade style games. They serve breakfast but not positive on cut off time (didn't see a menu-we came after 3p). We came for the burgers & the fact it was May the Fourth made it a fate kinda day. I recommend you take the time to read thru the entire menu. We started with BB-Ate; great choice to start-thick cheesestix, breaded shrooms & perfectly fried pickles. We decided to split the Princess Buns. A hot glazed Honey Bun holding 2 juicy patties & huge strips of bacon w/ melting American chz (we added Cheddar ) was absolute perfection. It's been a long time for the 1st bite of food to give me the hell yeah happy feels. To the Chef (& creator) Galaxy Burgers will see us again ready to try The Destroyer or maybe The Blaster. So many great sounding items to try! Overall bill w/ 1 sweet tea, an app & the burger &33ish before tip. Vibe: Nostalgic. Fun. Wouldve liked music throughout the restaurant. The staff wasn't as lively as one could hope but I get it (current industry survivor of 20+yrs) they coulda just had a beating from the lunch crowd. Seating open. Food was spaceballs as was the service. We each had the spicy Tamagotchi burger, but I added bacon, queso, ranch, & spicy ranch to mine as one does. We demolished the carne asada fries which needed nothing but filthy fingers & forks. Their fountain of youth water caused me to go brunette/blackhead again. The unsweetened tea was tasty & toothsome. The Flux Capacitor with the green chili & guacamole was Ratatouille's kiss. We also had the pleasure of meeting & being served by "Creed Bratton's" Indica. The ambiance was akin to visiting my midnight library in Baby Yoda (actual Yoda) theme park of my lucid dreams. Would I return? Yes, but next time I'll make an appointment next door to get a mini 8oz Great Value water bottle tattooed on my back to celebrate my 7th & 2nd generation Mexican American heritage. The parking isn't the best, but it has the best burgers around the area of Cove, Killeen, Temple, and Heights, in my opinion. I am still a fan of In-N-Out, but for more bang for your buck, I would have to say it's here. I would definitely come back again, and my favorite is the Thermo Detonator burger, if I remembered correctly. Service was fine. At the end of the day, it's worth the money. First look will have you asking the question what and why. It is a place covered with memories of the past Starwars, Pac-Man and others. It is space heaven. Parking does leave a lot to be desired, but it served it purpose. I thought by the look outside it was a hole in the wall. I was wrong. They give you a plate full of great tasting food. To be honest, it looks sketchy from the outside. I was questioning my safety before going inside, but it actually was okay. When you walk inside you are greeted by an alien with a gun that makes sounds, then they were playing the Star Wars movie. They have nerdy souvenirs of all kinds to buy and also free arcade games to play. I love the decor and the food was really good! I was surprised at the size of the menu! I tried the quesadilla burger which was amazing! My friend had the regular cheeseburger and she said it was delicious. This is definitely a whole in the wall (restaurant/arcade/Box Lunch) type of place. I will go back again when I'm in Killeen, TX again. read more

Very disappointing! I had heard good things about the food here and made the 40 minute drive to check it out. Waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food though the place only had 2 customers a head of us.. after all that waiting, our order was wrong and my French toast was inedible, burned on both sides. The even horizon insane 14.98 with tax. They give you 3 huge thick pancakes which are amazing. They give you 3 eggs. They give you potatoes. What an experience!!! Yes. That's right. It is not just a place to get a good burger and AWESOME fried onion rings, it is way more. We were greeted by James and asked to seat anywhere we wanted. We chose a booth adjacent to what looked like a dance floor. Then James reappeared to take our orders. We both got the Galaxy burger with cheese and all the trimmings. Loved the Bermuda onions, but the cheese had a texture like velveeta/cottage cheese-ugh! The burger had a tasty roll-bun and came w/o any condiments so we added our own mayo, ketchup and mustard from the containers on the table. The onion rings were the best I've ever had. Nice crisp crust with tender juicy onion inside. James was a delight and never let us wait long for anything, like my tea refills and Pat's water refill. Now for the atmosphere, Star Wars to the max. If you're looking for a fairly priced, greasy, unhealthy, but delicious burger, Galaxy B&G is the place for you (considering that you live in Killeen). The store/restaurant is extremely cool and is filled with tons of Star Wars memorabilia as well as a ton of arcade machines that you can play for free while you wait for your food. In a place as crazy as this, I decided to order the craziest burger I could find which was The Galactic Madness. It's two patties, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion and mayo. But what takes it to the next level is that it is served between two grilled cheese sandwiches instead of buns. As ridiculous as it was to eat, it was still pretty tasty. Our party ordered some of the other burgers out of the many you can pick from. Galaxy B&G also serves a bunch of other food including a full breakfast menu, a ton of sides, tacos, and much more. As horrible of a city Killeen is, at least they have Galaxy B&G. read more

When I was in the army and new to the area, my chief brought me to this hole in the wall restaurant. I absolutely loved the atmosphere! Star Wars themed, video games and creative diner food! The food tastes great and you get a bang for your buck for it because it isn't expensive at all and they serve you such big portions. I am a big fan of the "Bacon Awakens" which is a breakfast platter with french toast. I also enjoyed the "Galactic Madness" which is a grilled cheese burger and it's huge! Beware you'll be taking a nap after eating this burger haha. But I do enjoy this place and every time I've eaten here the service has always been great. We've probably driven past this place a thousand times without paying attention to it. Then I found it on Yelp!, and it got such good reviews we decided to give it a try. Of course with the coronavirus, there was social distancing in play. She said they had "had a rush" - - we got there about 10 minutes after they opened. OK, I'm cool with that - - we weren't in a hurry. It took about 20 minutes for somebody to take our order; after that, it took almost 50 minutes to get the food. (Well, we did get the dill pickle chips about 15 minutes after we ordered them, so that was good!) My husband ordered UFS (a bacon cheeseburger with all the works), and I had the Redheaded Stranger - - that's a typical mushroom Swiss burger that also had bacon. I added grilled onions because I wanted them. My husband enjoyed his very much - - he got fries with his, which were unremarkable at least. My burger was overcooked, but the fabulous onion rings saved the day. The hostess made sure to tell us that there would be a delay, and like I said, that was fine. And Emily was our server, and she was spot-on. She was very cheerful and helpful. It was nowhere near the experience I was looking for. We don't feel the need to go back. The dill pickle slices were amazing, as were the onion rings, but appetizers do not a meal make when you're in your 50s. read more
