The tartare for example was defintiely not a sharing size, but mroe of a eat alone size. My friend told me halfway through the meal that you can order th whole menu for 250 DKK, so next time I go, I want to do that for sure because at 95 DKK a pop, it can add up quickly. Also, they charge 25 DKK PER PERSON for water. I don't love that. 10 or 20 kr for 2 people, but we had an extra 50 DKK on our bill for water, so not great. Overall a nice place and I may come again and try the tasting menu, but I won't get the water out of principle!

It's grime-y in a charming way but stay away if any grime bothers you. It's dingy on the inside with some nice sidewalk seats, but reeks of old cigarettes either way. They give of the air of not GAF but are actually attentive and charming. Food came or relatively quickly on a Friday night which was good with a hungry child. The food was good. The menu looks very basic and doesn't do the food justice. The 3 salads accompanying each meal are listed without description or fanfare. You don't know which ones you'll get. We got four different ones in combination for two entrees. Even the chicken satay we ordered for our little one came with two salad sides. Two out of four were great, the others bland. Each salad is about 1/4 of a cup, fairly small. The sesame seaweed with ginger and heirloom tomato salads rocked. The guacamole (really just smash avocados without seasoning) and cabbage salad (no dressing, plain with two honeyed almonds on top) were uninspiring. We got the Manilla tofu and beef lasagna as the main dishes. The Manilla tofu was cooked just right with great sauce and an ample portion of protein compared to your average Nordic experience. The beef lasagna was decadent. It was more reminiscent of mousaka than lasagna, cheesy, pillowy, creamy, and very thin Al dented pasta. Not a whole lot of meat but very flavorful and filling. The drink list was pretty good. I had a nice primotivo for only 55 Kr. Whole bottles are reasonable finds at good prices. They also serve half bottles I'm carafes. Good brew selection too. Prices were fair for the fare. Much less expensive than many surrounding restaurants. Overall, great spot. Good to hang or eat. Not pretentious but just good enoufh food.

While looking for a hotel to stay at in Copenhagen, we wanted something that was centrally located…read moreso it would be easy to hit up all the places on our itinerary. We wound up staying here twice- two nights before our cruise and one night before we headed back to the states. We did the first two nights in a balcony suite and it was really nice and the second time we did downgrade to a regular room. I honestly wouldn't even think about booking elsewhere other than this place! The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and it is literally in the middle of everything! You have complete access to a ton of shops and food establishments within a 2 minute walk of the hotel! Tivoli Garden is right across the street along with the train station (which includes rides to both Malmo, Sweden and the Copenhagen Airport) You can include breakfast in your stay or just buy it on your own In The morning. I thought they had a nice selection and everything was very fresh. I highly suggest becoming a member for this hotel brand because it will give you access to discounts and some perks. Our first time around we paid $60 for an early check in which was worth it. However, when we checked in yesterday- because I am a member, they did an early check in for free and also gave me a room upgrade! I honestly wish this hotel brand had more available places in the world outside of the Scandinavian Region because we have sincerely enjoyed our stay.

I wouldn't if I were you…read more I attempted to book a room in July 2026, but because it was a Copenhagen charge on my card, and I live in the U.S., I received a fraud alert from my card. This is normal. However, since I was trying to book a room to last over a week in August, I did not want to have a double charge so I called my credit card and I told them it was an attempted charge but not to put the charge through . They did not. I have no record of paying anything to any booking site or to Scandi to secure any reservation. However, when I arrived in Copenhagen on 8/21 and checked into the other hotel "the Square" across the square that I booked on another card after I had cancelled the reservation attempt on the previous card, Scandi improperly charged my card $304 without warning. I walked over to their hotel that day and had two fairly rude and dismissive conversations with front desk clerks wherein they basically told me that their records indicated that I made a reservation and that I did not appear so they charged me $304 for a day stay. They claimed they had no control and it was Expedia. Here's the fraud: I never used expedia to attempt to make the booking and have no written evidence whatsoever a booking was made. None was. This is fraud. There is no record of my having paid any third party booking site or Scandia for any reservation. And ask yourself: why would I maid two reservations elsewhere if I had a reservation. at Scandi? There is no record of any third-party or Scandia telling me via email or in any form of writing that there was a reservation. There was none. There were no emails telling me about my impending stay because there was no stay scheduled. Scandi had the audacity to only agree to refund my credit card, when working with my credit card company to resolve this amicably, the princely sum of $2.98. Unfortunately, I'm the wrong person you try to pull this nonsense on. I will pursue this until I reach financial satisfaction - which I will. I will not be cheated. I will also be contacting the two principle government offices with the Danish authorities about this. I add this: in response to my credit cards' inquiries, Scandi produced no documentation or any proof of a made reservation, no proof a confirmation to me the reservation was made, no reminders in advance of any impending reservation or any proof of the holding of any such reservation. It simply kept the money and now has disrespectfully and fraudulently refunded me $2.98 back.
