Steve was prompt on a Sunday (took less than 2 hrs to get here after I spoke to him) and had everything up and running after determining it was a pump check valve failure! Highly skilled, knowledgeable and very friendly. Price was within reason and did not hit me over the head with an after hours charge! This is the second time we replaced the pump. Whenever we've had a well issue, I could always count on Dennis Macaluso being here quickly, doing a perfect job and charging a fair price. Seems you never run out of water during "business hours," and again last night (Friday) at 7PM - no water. Steve, who was finishing up a job about ten miles away was here in less than 30 minutes. I learned that Dennis is deceased and that Steve is the new owner. I was, at the same time, saddened to hear of Dennis' passing (he was a really great guy), and glad that Steve is continuing the Gainesvile Pump quality and service tradition. Call these guys! Steve Briel of Gainesville Pump is the best in the business. Late Sunday, the fiber gasket on my well pump developed a spouting leak that required shut down. I then called Steve and he was out early the next day to analyze the issue. Ultimately, he replaced the deteriorated fiber gasket with a rubber one. And, in less than a day, I had my water back! Kudos to Steve for being professional, respectful and more than willing to take the time to answer all my questions about the workings of the well. I got to give a shout out to people who still know how to run a business! I called Gainesville Pump early this morning, they answered in person. They got here when they said they would, and in the middle of a bad thunderstorm, replaced a bad part on my pump. I wrote the check and as I walked out I turned the water on in the kitchen just to make sure. Nothing! I told them, and they went to work. They replaced a valve and flushed water backwards through a main pipe to clear the line. They put a lot of extra effort into getting my water flowing again and took the check I had originally written for the first part of their job. This was a problem they ran upon and did not create through any of their actions. They were both very nice and professional, and I have no doubt I will go to them for all my water/pump related needs. These guys are a class act and I highly recommend them to anyone needing pump work done. read more
