We took a pair of rusted, peeling, vintage wrought iron chairs to Boone for powder coating. We literally took in what looked like "junk" and came out with "treasure" because the chairs were in fact rare vintage mid-century chairs! I never could have imagined the level of professionalism and attention to detail with which Chase treated our chairs. He went above and beyond. He explained the multi-step powder coating process and followed through making the chairs better than new. I cannot recommend Boone (and Chase in particular) highly enough -he is a true artisan and caring professional. read more

I went there to get a small piece welded. The old, bitchy women that I encountered at the front desk was a joke. She told me it would cost 95 dollars, at least, and it would take 2 days, at least. I guess she was the one that was going to do it. I was a little confused, but agreed.I was called later that day by her and asked if I still wanted it done, I again said yes and she told me that she would call me back when it was done. I never got a call back, so I went back to get my piece a week later. It was sitting in an office in the front. Never fixed. I left, drove down the road to a place that happened to have a welder. They fixed it in 10 minutes for 40 dollars. I left a 1 star review on their website. The owner called me and explained that he didn't even know about the piece I brought in. What a joke. This place doesn't deserve to have any business. Either stop trying to scam people or close up your place. read more

I am just now picking up my 4th project with this company. They have been nothing but professional, cost effective, producing exactly what I had asked for at a reasonable rate. I have purchased metal plates, sand blasted and powder coated lawn furniture, custom metal signage. I have more that I will be bringing to them in the near future. I can not say enough good things about these people. I normally don't leave reviews, but I just had to with this company - they go above and beyond what is required and are very deserving of an excellent review. read more

I took my truck to them because they had a great idea for mounting a crane in the bed of my truck. I specifically did not want it bolted to the top of the bed of the truck as this would bend the bed and it would rust. I was told they could weld a plate from frame rail to frame rail and bolt the mount UNDER the bed with the crane coming up through a hole in the bed. This was their idea, and I liked it. long story short, I was told it would take a couple of days, and this turned into a month and a half!!! When it was done, guess what I had? A mount bolted on top of the truck bed with 8 bolt holes drilled through my bed!! Oh, and a bill for over $600!!! NEVER TAKE ANYTHING TO BOONE WELDING! I was repeatedly lied to and treated like dirt. I now have what I was careful to tell them I did not want! And the work was pretty crappy, the bed was attached crooked, it was crushing electrical connectors between to bed and the frame, all the ground straps had been torn loose, and the fuel fill neck was just jammed under the truck bed (breaking off half off the attaching tabs). I am still working on fixing all the crappy work! read more

Only 4 months in and this is what my $2,000 Powder Coat looks like from Boone's Welding of Gainesville. In April I took my lift to Boones Welding thinking they would br the best for the job and found out the hard way they are not. After getting my lift Powder Coated I noticed some of the parts look like they came out a different color. I asked the guy whose name is Chase that was working on my parts why was thar and he didn't know basically said he did everything the same. Me not knowing the whole time he didn't know because the special type of powder which is a 2 stage Powder isn't something that he has done before. So after asking a guy I knew that has alot of experience with the 2 stage Powder he basically told me Boones Welding messed up. My truck sat in a shop for 3 months not moving at all . When I contacted Eli that's over Powder coating at Boones and showed him pictures of how my lift is looking after he came up with all kinds of excuses of why it looked that way. First it was you must of hit something then it was the guys that installed ur lift done it then it was the lift looks dirty , then the dumbest crap he said was you've been driving it!!! It's a Truck sir not a chair! I want a refund not to let you try to fix a problem you really don't know how to fix. Not to mention the money I'm losing have someone pull this lift off for the 3rd time which was over 1,500 dollars. I just can't afford to give them another shot I need my money back!!! They completed a service on her parts WITHOUT her permission and then forced her to pay an outrageous amount in order to give her parts back. They completely scammed her. They are a dishonest company and should be ashamed of the way they run their business. read more
