You'll want to make a reservation WEEKS in advance and hope for the best! Our group ordered so many delicious items, and some standouts were: Shrimp Har Gao: These were crisp and tasty, with a skin that was the appropriate thickness - and of course had enough slip to it. Yum! Pork Shu Mai: These ingredients were tip top! I'm not a fan of pork, but I enjoyed this one... whatever they marinated it in was amazing. Stuffed Eggplant: Tasty, too! I love eggplant, especially the stuffed ones. The sauce paired very well and was simply satisfying. Mushroom Noodles: This was honestly a hot mess and hot miss. It tasted very bland like airplane food... highly recommend not ordering this! Cheung Fun - The rice noodle was crisp and very satisfying. Whether an oil stick or protein, highly recommend this one. What's nice is eating here was very relaxing late in the afternoon. The overall ambiance is spacious and quiet enough for conversation. Either we got lucky missing out on the liveliness, or all the aunties with tea left before we arrived. Overall, I could see myself coming back for the dim sum... but have a little more reservation (no pun intended) when trying their lunch items.

Was able to try more dishes since we came as a larger group. Everything was great. Service is also top notch. Staff is very professional and attentive. Highly recommend calling in advance and making a reservation. Seems like if you walk in and don't have one, you're taking a chance - especially during the busy lunch time. Worth a visit if you're in town - plan ahead!

The mall was also pretty empty and you do have to go up a few escalators before getting to the restaurant. The clientele was pretty much mostly gramps and granmas on a weekday, so vibes were very chill, but I would imagine weekends are a different story. Overall, the food is excellent. Don't have a reference against the rest of Richmond / Vancouver, but it's definitely way better than the options in Seattle by a mile. You order everything with a pencil before the staff delivers the items to your table. Standouts for me were the radish cakes, which were crispy on the outside, but had super tender sweet radish chunks throughout. Siu mai, har gow, and rice rolls were just the classics done well. Nothing completely blew my socks off, but in other ways, doing so many classic items well is a huge accomplishment.

I read about Yue Restaurant being one of the most reliable and enjoyable dim sum spots in Richmond…read more(old school traditional style) but unfortunately, they do not serve Dim Sum in the evening. Nevertheless, we were glad we tried their dinner. When you tried to do research on the restaurant and could not find any menu or proper working link, you will realize this place emphasizes on words of mouth rather than Online Marketing. I did not find a single non-Chinese customers when we were there and this place was packed! The dining room is bright, clean, and spacious, and even when the restaurant is busy, the atmosphere feels lively rather than chaotic. The staff works hard to keep things moving, and service is friendly and efficient. The food is the real highlight. Everything arrives beautifully prepared, with generous portions and fresh ingredients. Their Wagyu beef cubes is a MUST-HAVE. Its the best Wagyu beef I have tasted! We also ordered their Peking Duck. It's not the best I have tried but definitely above average. This order comes in 2 dishes. You wrap the duck skin with thin crepe, and the 2nd dish is basically the diced duck meat wrapped in lettuce. We balanced the protein with Tofu/Broccoli/Mushroom dish. We also ordered Yangzhou fried rice. These dishes alone kept 5 hungry adults satisfied. We struggled to finish every scrap! Yue Restaurant is an excellent choice for groups, families, and anyone craving high‑quality Cantonese cuisine. With great variety, solid execution, and a comfortable dining space, it's easy to see why this place is so popular.

I am writing regarding a disappointing experience during a recent dim sum visit to your Richmond…read morerestaurant. Our bill was $217.49, and I initially left a $10 tip. A staff member subsequently returned to our table and asked us to give an additional $20. I felt uncomfortable and pressured by this, and ultimately increased the tip to $30. I appreciate that $10 was a modest gratuity. However, the service was very poor. Our servers were inattentive, did not bother to provide basic items such as sauces and soy sauce, and some of the interactions with staff came across as rude. This was particularly disappointing because the standard of service at your restaurant used to be much better. My concern is not about the $20. Gratuities are voluntary, and your receipt presents 15%, 18%, and 20% as suggested tip amounts rather than a mandatory service charge. If a customer feels that the service does not warrant one of those amounts, I do not believe they should be approached and pressured to increase their tip. I was also uncomfortable with staff looking closely at the payment terminal while I was entering my PIN. Customers should be given appropriate privacy while entering their PIN or completing payment. I am not seeking reimbursement or trying to make an issue over the money. I would simply appreciate clarification of your tipping policy and ask that management address these practices with staff. Customers should be able to choose an appropriate gratuity based on the service they receive without feeling pressured or embarrassed. I have enjoyed your restaurant in the past, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I hope management will take these concerns seriously.

Absolutely positively amazing dim sum…read more * * * Vancouver and Richmond have so many extraordinary dim sum restaurants that the various "Best Of" Lists identify a huge number of potential "Best Dim Sum in Vancouver" candidates. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. Dim Sum in Vancouver is simply on a higher level. * * * The largest concentration of utterly amazing places are in Richmond rather than Vancouver itself ... Although Vancouver has hundreds and hundreds of places to die for. So to say Richmond offers better choices than Vancouver is something you have to experience yourself to understand. Just go to Richmond and walk in anywhere. We have done a lot of that in past trips and we did a lot of that this trip. It is food orgasm every time. * * * Chef Tony's shows up on a lot of Best of Vancouver lists as do many many other places. If this place were in my home city, Austin, or even in San Francisco, there would be lines out the door. It is a smallish place with an overwhelmingly Chinese older clientele. When we were there, the World Cup Final was on with Spain playing Argentina. Half the tables - generally men - were watching. The elderly ladies at the other tables had their back to the TV and were continuing their conversation. * * * This is an order by menu place rather than take your chances on the carts. Given Chef Tony's small size, there would be unacceptable wastage on a rotating cart system. Frankly, Chef Tony's turned me into a convert on the order-exactly-what-you-want system. Seeing carts that look good, stuffing your face and then seeing the carts you really want is an all-too-common experience in dim sum places. * * * Everything we had was to die for. It is small and quaint with some of the smaller combined tables having plastic dividers separating the diners. I appreciated that the establishment has a clear process of operations for take out and dine in. The team is efficient in their service and ability to turn tables so we were seated pretty quickly. We tried the BBQ pork, roasted pork, soya chicken and BBQ duck. BBQ Pork - was standard and pretty good. However, I've definitely had better elsewhere in regard to flavor and crispiness. Roasted Pork - I really enjoyed this as it was moist, savory, and not overtly sweet. Soya Chicken - was ok... kind of dry. BBQ Duck - was ok as well. Definitely be sure to order the pieces without the bones. I opted for them to give me whatever pieces and ended up with barely any meat. Overall, it was good, but not anything extraordinarily amazing. FYI - they are a cash only establishment. We were not aware but luckily there is a grocery store on the second floor of the building with an ATM machine.
