I love your location and the service you always provide, as well as the excellent food. After being seated, I was introduced to Riley and Tequan as the servers for our table. Riley mentioned she was new and in training and that Tequan was doing an excellent job training her. I have to tell you that the service was as good, or better than I have ever received at a Texas Roadhouse. Riley was very attentive to our needs and Tequan stopped over to see us a few times during the meal. We even had to return a side for reasons that initiated from my wife's likes and not do to the establishment or service and they handled it in an exceptional manner. I have to say that we put them both to the test, as we always do, and they not only passed, but made us feel at home during the entire dinner. I know Riley will work out 100% and I say that Tequan made us want to come back and ask for him in the future. I don't usually do feedback but this was definitely a special team going above and beyond normal service. We were ultimately waiting ~15-20 minutes from the time that we arrived on site since we had put ourselves on the wait list an hour prior. Staff is super friendly given all the incessant "is my table ready?" questions that they get from folks. Things are pretty packed here but we got a table, and were helped and served quickly, and checked on regularly. Our table got the usual: Cactus Blossom, ~6 baskets of bread over the course of the meal, and individual meals. We shared a 12 oz. ribeye w/ ribs combo. Today it was actually not as good as usual, a bit more medium rather than medium rare, and the ribs were dry on the outer half. However, still a completely filling and enjoyable meal all things considered. Pro-tip: put the last bits of your Cactus Blossom in a bun with both butter and sauce for a treat that is much more unhealthy and delicious than you bargained for. To boot, we asked the staff to put our celebrant on the saddle, even though we weren't celebrating his birthday, and they happily fulfilled our wish. We shared a new dish from the menu: the shrimp with grits, blackened shrimp, bacon (thinking Canadian bacon), corn grits, tomato (stewed), scallion, and frizzled onions. Was a satisfying dish. I asked for hot peppers and got the standard yellow hot banana. I gave the sandwich an average score. Points for it not being drippy and greasy. On my second visit I ordered a small 12" pizza and asked for it to be cooked well done. It was ready in ten minutes. The crust was fresh and not too soft/not too crispy and thankfully not chewy. Cheese was a tad sweet, stringy and not overly greasy. The sauce was rich and tangy. Tasted like a cross between a pasta and pizza sauce. I thought the pizza was just above average and would repeat. The place was clean and also the bathrooms on the lower rear level. $305 not including tip for six adults which included two steaks, two Plov, chicken fingers with fries, three breads, and a compote. I mention a lot with my reviews that I'd come back to a place. I really can't wait to return to Samarkand! It was just a lot of fun with excellent food and service. I hope it's just as good when the place is slammed and full.
