Gaeta is the WORST. Miss collections all the time. When they do come, it is way too early (before 7 am) for residential garbage pickup. We have bears in my town and can't put it out the night before, so this results in even more missed pickups. This has only been a problem with Gaeta; the blue trucks that used to do the pickups came at a reasonable time and nothing was ever missed. read more

This company just started doing garbage pickups for our apt complex... Horrible. never on time, if the weather is nice and they are supposed to come get the trash? you can forget about it, they are all on vacation.... I do not know how they are in business. From what I see so far, been about 3 weeks, the worse garbage company you can get.. I think it does not get any worse to be honest. First time I needed a dumpster and I was clueless! My driveway is narrow, Gaeta came and the dumpster was a very tight fit. Instead of the driver getting upset, he said "don't worry, I'll bring this one back and bring you one that fits". That's exactly what they did with a smile! Gaeta also picks up our recycling, I leave for work at the crack of dawn, and if Gaeta is picking up at the time they always wave and smile. I have no hesitation leaving a 5 star review. I have a Dumpster from Gaeta Recycling. When i first got them they were Great!! The last 6 months or so the service has been TERRIBLE!!! They constantly miss my stop. Everytime saying the driver was on vacation. They never showed up one of the weeks in August and i never got a credit on my bill. If you asked me 1 year ago i would have HIGHLY recomended them but now im ready to get a new company!!! Since review they are getting back on track. I will bump them up to 3 stars for now. We have Gaeta Recycling for trash service. Apparently our warehouse personnel is okay with their performance on that. However, we tried to schedule them for paper shredding and they were ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talked with Mike M. and Ralph S. via email only. No matter how many phone calls I put into their office, I received no reply back. Also tried cell numbers and left messages with NO RETURN CALLS BACK. Excellent customer service -- I had an issue 5 months ago with a sales person and they handled it immediately and let that person go. Their prices are unparalleled -- any company in the tri state area can't match their prices so don't even bother calling around to get estimates because Gaeta always has the best price. Recently i have ordered many roll off containers and felt it was worth writing a positive review based on my experience with Gaeta Recycling. From my initial call I spoke with the manager Michael who was very pleasant to speak with that coordinated the rates schedule of delivery and pick ups of all our containers on our current project. There was never an issue with delivery as stated on some of these negative reviews as i was quite shocked to read based on my experience with the company. This is the first time I've used Gaeta. The dumpster we originally asked for was a tight fit and the driver couldn't have been any nicer. He told me he'd be back later that day with a smaller one which would definitely fit. When we called to have it removed, another driver came and all I asked is that he pull into the driveway across the street to get into our driveway. Both drivers were more than friendly and very helpful. Gaeta has been picking up our recycling in town for quite a while now. I've never once had to call the town to ask why ours wasn't picked up. They've always been there when scheduled. I've also recently found out that they took over picking up our trash. It doesn't sit on the curb for days like the previous sanitation pick up. Also, instead of throwing the cans, they place them back on the curb. Every driver I've encountered for whatever reason, has been friendly by waving or wishing me a good morning. I have a dumpster sitting at one of my properties, and Gaeta is refusing to remove the dumpster because the contractor hasn't paid them yet. I offered to show them the proof that I paid the contractor for the total amount of the job, and they refuse to settle the matter with the contractor that has been bouncing payments to them. They prefer to harm a third party than to go after the responsible party when there is an issue with money. Not a vendor I will ever allow used on one of my properties again. read more

I have a dumpster from Gaeta and they are the worst. We are tenants and have no say in who the landlord has for our garbage pick up. We recently moved our business and this is what we are stuck with. The driver is old and rude beyond anything I have ever seen. He takes our garbage bags and throws them on the ground. There are several building that share this dumpster, so I just went out to ask him why he was throwing the stuff behind the dumpster and almost pushed me out of the way. Totally unacceptable.
