That crispy chicken caesar wrap is incredible, my god. Portion was perfect, I was barely able to finish it. I'm a 200lb dude.

I've been here before, and I've always thought they had some of the best pancakes around. Their soufflé pancakes, especially, are on another level. I've even had the opportunity to try soufflé pancakes in Tokyo, and they were absolutely amazing. But I have to say, Lady C's can definitely compete at that level--and for me, Lady C's still takes it. That's saying a lot considering how good the ones in Tokyo were. The best part? I don't have to travel thousands of miles to enjoy an incredible soufflé pancake! One thing to know: be prepared to wait. It can easily take 30-45 minutes, especially for certain pancakes. Just be patient. Good food takes time, and here, it's absolutely worth it. This time I decided to skip the soufflé pancakes and ordered the peanut butter banana pancakes instead. I kid you not--these were AMAZING. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, covered with bananas and what felt like half a jar of peanut butter! It was rich, heavy, and definitely not a light breakfast, but somehow everything worked together perfectly. If you love peanut butter and banana, you have to try this. I also had corned beef hash with over-easy eggs on the side, and the whole breakfast just hit the spot. It's been a long time since I've sat down after breakfast and thought, "Man, that was REALLY good." This was one of those meals. And it's not just the food. The service really adds to the experience. The servers have this warm, family-friendly way of taking care of you that almost makes you feel like you're having breakfast in someone's home. They're welcoming and attentive without making things feel rushed. My cup of coffee was never empty. Great coffee btw! The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable too--the kind of place where you can settle in, relax, and really enjoy your breakfast. What made this visit even better was having family from Las Vegas with us. They're foodies and are used to the incredible Vegas food scene, so when they told us the food and their experience here were top-notch, that said a lot. New name, same great experience. Lady C's continues to be one of those breakfast places that's worth the wait. Come hungry, be patient, relax, and definitely get the pancakes. I've had great soufflé pancakes in Tokyo, and the fact that Lady C's can stand right there with them--and still come out on top for me--says everything about how good this place is.

I've come here 3-4 times now and the food is always fantastic. I recommend coming on a weekday if you can, because on Saturdays and Sundays I've waited over an hour to get a table during peak brunch hours (still worth it though, just plan accordingly). My wife and I usually split a savory breakfast item (usually a benedict or an omelet or something) and then share a souffle pancake. Last time we tried Bannamon and it was divine. Our friends who were visiting from out of town were equally impressed. Highly recommend!

Not only was the…read moreambiance inviting and comfortable, every single dish was delicious, making it hard to pick favorites, and it was clear that a lot of care goes into both the flavors and presentation. The beet salad was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. The Brussels sprouts were absolutely incredible and easily some of the best we've had. The salt & pepper shrimp had the perfect balance of savory and sweet, and the quality of the shrimp itself was very high. The braised short ribs were cooked to perfection, and were so tender they practically fell apart with each bite. For dessert, the Wonder bar was a fun surprise and tasted remarkably like a Snickers in the best possible way. The chocolate bread pudding was also a favorite, and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. A special thank you to our server, Nicholas, who was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and struck the perfect balance of checking in without ever being intrusive. Between the incredible food and top-notch hospitality, Pearl District is a place we'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommend!

I remember coming here many years ago and having a fantastic experience, and it was so long ago…read morethat this was actually in the San Fernando valley location before they moved to Westlake village. I was able to finally come back and while there are a couple small things, I feel like for the money you spend here you certainly get a great experience. The dishes I tried were the baguette style bread, which was just okay but their homemade mix of olive oil with herbs was very good. Also tried their octopus dish which I thought was pretty great and I also tried their salmon on tray which was also very good. My biggest complaint with the place is that their chairs are very uncomfortable, the cushion and all their seats are pretty shot and in need of some refurbishment!. Will definitely come back, hopefully soon! Oh, and I almost forgot we tried their recommended lemon tiramisu, which actually does not have coffee and it was a pleasant surprise of goodness.

We walked in for lunch and left already talking about when we'll come back. Brendan took exceptional care of us. He went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our order was exactly how we wanted it, and his kindness and attention made us feel genuinely welcome. Service like that turns a great meal into a memorable experience. We ordered the Chinese chicken salad, turkey sandwich, salted chocolate chip cookie, and two probiotic drinks. Every single item was fresh, made to order, delicious, and prepared with wholesome, all-natural ingredients. We loved everything. Neighborly's concept is so fun--it feels like five restaurants in one, with a variety of flavors and something for everyone. It's the kind of place you're excited to discover and can't wait to return to. Thank you, Brendan, and the entire crew for an amazing lunch and such a wonderful first visit. We truly appreciate you. We'll definitely be back very soon!

My family and I came to Neighborly, it being recommended to me and close by in the area. I know…read morethat they're known for their array of options and a wide variety of food to choose from. I was nervous, though, going into this, because it reminded me of the nearby Topanga Social with a similar concept. After less than a year, the Topanga Social is closing due to one of the reasons being that a ghost kitchen doesn't cater, and therefore, have the expertise, to one certain food type or style. Unfortunately, that's exactly what this ended up being. When we entered, it was an untraditional restaurant experience as you go to a tablet/ screen area and choose from one of the six or so "restaurants" that they have to choose from. In theory, this is super cool! However, certain foods are good because a lot of the times, the people making them worked on perfecting that dish for you and others. Additionally, when you don't have a hostess and/ or server, there's an extra level of relationship building with the customer that you now don't get. People can manage, but it's the customer service that sometimes can make or break a business. This restaurant used to be Social Monk, until they decided to add the five or so other, now essentially, ghost kitchens that all operate under that same old Social Monk roof. Once we paid and finished ordering on the screen, we sat down and waited for our food. The seating area was a bit cramped inside, but expanded to outside which was nice. Inside, they had little tubs of candy around the store for purchase. There's also a fountain and a gelato store nearby, which is great for families looking to make more of their day. The positives? The area is nice. The literal neighbors, like the gelato place next door, are great! The speed in which we got our food was good, too, as well as the variety of options of food that they have available. My food came as a bigger portion size than what I was expecting, so I could hypothetically get maybe two meals out of it. The negatives? The prices aren't the prettiest, like mine coming at $18 (but keep in mind the portioning.) Additionally, when we got our food, it truly was not good. My chicken and chow mein came together on a big plate, however the chicken was cooollllddddd. The noodles were okay and warm, actually, although the chicken had been cold. Bland. Not great. My sister got chicken tenders and fries in which were also incredibly bland and not worth eating even half of. I brought my food back to the counter area where they had registers not in use and asked a worker if I could get a refund. They got a manager, who asked if I wanted them to heat it up, but at that point, I felt so defeated and annoyed, especially for almost $20 worth of food and the last thing I wanted was for it to be heated up in a microwave. Maybe this wasn't their day? Westlake doesn't have much variety, so having options like this is nice and I can see why so many people find them appealing - it's just not good food. A lot of the older people who look like they love eating saltines and rice cakes come here and it's easy to see why. Unfortunately, my sister and I did not like their food due to it being cold, bland, and unseasoned, and we most likely won't be coming back.

This evening our experience was highly disappointing and unpleasant. The restaurant was out of many menu items - salmon of any kind, sand dabs, no mussels or clams for the Cioppino ... the list goes on. The bad news was not told to us until we had spent time looking at menu and ordering. The server took the order and within minutes came back to let us know that they were out of so many things we wanted. She was willing to substitute one kind of fish for one that they were out of . She was very apologetic but that really changed nothing, One of the excuses was that" you shouldn't come on a Sunday. " What? Anyway, dinner, as such, finally came but 4 people at the table were not served until well after everyone else. Only then when we called her attention to it did the server check with kitchen to see what was going on. She should have checked back to see if everything was OK. In addition, we really felt that someone - the manager- other than this poor server should have been notified and then stopped by the table. Lure should have come to speak to us, comped desert or discounted our tab Thoroughly disappointed!.

Wanted to go on a Saturday adventure and came across the Yelp reviews for Old Place Steakhouse,…read moreespecially the reviews mentioning their Thick Cut Bacon. After reading those reviews, I decided to make the trip for lunch. The cutoff time for lunch is 4 PM, so I headed out and was very eager to finally try the place. When I arrived at Old Place Steakhouse, I noticed how secluded it was, tucked away in the corner. There is parking in the back in case there isn't any available in the front. When I got out of my SUV, I immediately enjoyed the scenery and the rustic vibe. Since I wasn't familiar with the layout, I walked around for a bit and eventually found the To-Go area. Here's a tip: If you park in the back, walk toward your left and look for the restroom. Walk past the restroom, and you'll find the To-Go section. When I arrived, I was welcomed by a friendly staff member named Christina. She was very welcoming, and we had a great conversation. I told her that I had driven a long way and that the reviews about the Thick Cut Bacon were one of the main reasons I wanted to visit Old Place. She mentioned that the bacon is prepared in-house and hand-cut, which made me even more excited to try it. I went ahead and ordered: * Thick Cut Bacon -- 3 pieces * Oak-Grilled Steak Sandwich with Mixed Green Salad * Homemade Iced Tea The Oak-Grilled Steak Sandwich comes with sirloin, Bleu Cheese Aioli, and grilled onions. The side salad comes with mixed baby greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, and their house-made vinaigrette dressing. The Iced Tea was infused with rosemary and lavender -- highly recommended! While waiting for my order, I found a table and sat down. Once my order was ready, it was placed in a bag, and I started taking everything out of the containers. I was ready to finally try the sandwich. This was one of the best steak sandwiches I have ever had. The Bleu Cheese Aioli and grilled onions complemented the sirloin extremely well and added plenty of flavor. Of course, that's just my personal opinion, but I really enjoyed the combination. The side salad was also great, and I especially enjoyed the house-made vinaigrette dressing. Now, let's talk about the bacon! The bacon was fresh, and the pieces were very generous in size. I could taste the smokiness, and I really enjoyed the crunch of the outer edges. After hearing so much about the Thick Cut Bacon in the reviews, I'm happy to say it lived up to the hype. As for the drink, since it was a bit warm that day, the Iced Tea was perfect. It was refreshing and very welcoming. There is only one size available, but it was a very generous portion. I loved that I could actually taste both the rosemary and lavender without either flavor being overwhelming. Overall, my experience was great. The food was delicious, the rustic scenery made the trip feel like a little getaway, and the customer service I received from Christina made the experience even more worthwhile. In my personal opinion, I would definitely recommend Old Place Steakhouse if you're looking for a nice getaway with great scenery and a good lunch. I would absolutely come back, especially for dinner, so I can try more of their menu.
