Gaby's Tacos is our new taco home! We ordered the shrimp tacos, and they made them exactly how we like them; fresh, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with delicious shrimp. Every bite was incredible! They've also done an incredible job creating a beautiful outdoor patio area. It's such a welcoming, comfortable place to sit, relax, and enjoy your meal. And I have to say, this is the most immaculate food truck I've ever seen! Everything is spotless, and you can tell they take so much pride in what they do. Food trucks are still cool, ok?! Gaby's has become one of our favorites and we'll be bringing anyone who visits us to their truck. They are closed on Sundays. So far their veggie burrito and Chile relleno burritos are great! My man raves about their carne asada fries and he'll pick theirs over anyone else's. I love their salsa selection, which is always how I grade taco shops. I tried them all the first time, and now I know which ones to pick the next time. If you're looking for them, it's covered in a refrigerated appliance that looks like a grill. The food is always good and the people wonderful but you don't always receive what you expect. I ordered a chile relleno burrito with beans and cheese. If you look at their chile relleno plate, the relleno is heavily smothered with vegetables. This makes a burrito an absolute soggy mess, not what I wanted. BUT, they're also one of the best spots for tortas and they have great burritos too! I recommend their Cubana torta , shrimp quesadilla , milanesa torta, Marca Diablo Burrito, and anything with al pastor or even their fish tacos with their yummy green sauce. They've got a shaded canopy with patio seating in front that can accommodate couples or family groups. They also have heaters to keep warm. The one con to their location is the street traffic noise, but they do have their music playing and it gives off a nice "Cabo street dining" vibe. You'll also have to use the restroom next door at the Smog Station. They also don't sell alcohol. But they have excellent Agua Frescas & horchata! The lady helping me was really nice & welcoming , told me the best selling items . So I just ordered food from Gabby's tacos today through DoorDash. The description said that on the soft tacos, they put guacamole on the tacos. I added in the notes to please take the guacamole and put it if they would....in a separate little container on the side, so it doesn't get disgusting by the time I get it. They charged me $3.25 for that one . I didn't ask for extra guacamole . instead of spooning it on the tacos they're spooning it in a cup with a lid on it a little tiny cup. Seriously? You can't just accommodate a simple request like that without charging me you're using the same spoon and the same arm movement instead of putting it on the taco ...you're putting it in a little tiny cup. Why is that more work for you? So I will never go to Gabby's tacos again. It's outrageous that greed has gotten to this point. read more
