Sooo tasty, little hidden gem. The family is so sweet and inviting. They only produce quality. I get production costs can be high, the prices are ok, but the quality is worth the price. Love a good salsa bar, they have it to grab as much as you need. Highly recommend

Solid 4. I don't gives 5's because it's hard to even understand a five or what it is. I got the Cubana. Delicious. Been wanting to try it for a while. Only thing I would gripe on is one of the slices of tomato was really thick... not a deal breaker but not a fan of it. Fries were fresh and tasty. Bread toasted perfectly and tasted very good. I wanted to ask where they got their bread from. I would get it again.

Family stopped her for dinner after our trip to Legoland! Great service... Fernando was so kind! Delicious food. Beautiful atmosphere. 10 out of 10! Highly recommend.

The food here is really good. Everything was hot and fresh with delicious flavours. The gentleman who took our orders and made the food were helpful and kind. The prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. Overall, this place was fantastic and we will be coming bac

The food is always good and the people wonderful but you don't always receive what you expect. I ordered a chile relleno burrito with beans and cheese. If you look at their chile relleno plate, the relleno is heavily smothered with vegetables. This makes a burrito an absolute soggy mess, not what I wanted. It was delicious but next time I would order it dry. Be warned or bring a bib. Their menu has greatly expanded!

Enchiladas, rice and tacos are all delicious. The Octopus taco was so tender and flavorful.

First time here & it did not disappoint . After getting a coffee at the coffee truck next to them I can over to check them out . The lady helping me was really nice & welcoming , told me the best selling items . We got their carne asada quesadilla, came with a side of guacamole , sour cream , pico de gallo on a lettuce bed ... it was DELICIOUS. They have a fresh salsa bar , the salsas were tasty the whole staff were very nice . The ambience was very pleasant it felt like we were having a picnic . Service , food , ambience 10/10 this is definitely our new go to place for when we want Mexican food ! Thank you for going above & beyond !

They've got a cute patio seating area out front.

If you're looking for some great Mexican food, then you should consider Gaby's Tacos. They are located just off of Oceanside Blvd & Camelot (in the Five Star Smog parking lot) Gaby Tacos is a small family-owned Mexican food truck that's known for their tacos and quesadillas. BUT, they're also one of the best spots for tortas and they have great burritos too! I recommend their Cubana torta , shrimp quesadilla , milanesa torta, Marca Diablo Burrito, and anything with al pastor or even their fish tacos with their yummy green sauce. They've got a shaded canopy with patio seating in front that can accommodate couples or family groups. They also have heaters to keep warm. The one con to their location is the street traffic noise, but they do have their music playing and it gives off a nice "Cabo street dining" vibe. You'll also have to use the restroom next door at the Smog Station. They also don't sell alcohol. But they have excellent Agua Frescas & horchata! I recommend this family business and they even offer catering!

It's a true family-style operation--one owner personally takes your order while the other is in the kitchen cooking everything fresh, and you can taste that attention to detail in every bite. The food is outstanding--full of flavor, generous portions, and very reasonably priced. It's the kind of place where you know you're getting authentic, homemade quality, not something rushed or generic. On top of that, the service is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself is clean and well-kept. It's rare to find a spot that checks all the boxes like this. If you're anywhere nearby and even thinking about Mexican food--do yourself a favor and come try Mi Asador. You'll be glad you did!

Since then we've been visiting other burrito places, but decided to give them another shot. We were pleasantly surprised to see things were "back to normal". Burritos were big again and the salsa bar was back. Chips were no longer free (I remember they used to be a long time ago), but no biggie. We were just picked up to-go. The burritos were good. Not great, necessarily, but good and the prices are some of the best around. They have a ton of options, and lots of drinks, including beer. We were just picking up, and it was a very hot day. The restaurant didn't have any air-conditioning so it was quite warm inside. Most people were eating outside. We'll be back again to try some other menu items given that their prices are generally pretty good.

Came in for an early dinner and to try this place out. Have heard many things via social media…read more For starters, we got complimentary chips & salsa. The salsa was good IMO, though the rest of the table thought it was too spicy. For drinks we chose a Mexican Candy ($15) and Hibiscus Margarita ($14). They were okay. I think not really worth the price (barely any buzz). I'll probably stick with a beer next time but that's okay. For food, we ordered the Chile Relleno & Cheese Enchilada ($20), Queso Birria Taco Plate ($18) and for me, the Fajita Mixta ($26). Everyone liked their food. For me, I've had better fajitas elsewhere (Mariscos Hualtulco is my fav) but these were still good (except no green bell pepper for some reason). I noticed the *new* menu price for the fajitas was $29 (Mixta), but on the bill it was still $26 (old menu price). So be aware, the new price is coming obviously. I want to try the Molcajete but $38 is a stretch! Atmosphere was okay. It was a Saturday and although it was early, I expected a more vibrant feel, but maybe that comes later in the night. There was plenty of seating. Parking was okay, but the lot was oddly packed however even though the restaurant was not. I would come back to try something else on the menu, but with so many great Mexican options in our area, they need that extra something to attract more patrons. A happy hour with $10 margs for starters would be nice.

This is by far one of my favorite places for Mexican food in SoCal. As a Cali Native now living in…read morethe great state of Texas, sometimes it's refreshing to step outside the land of Tex‑Mex and get the real deal again. Colima's hits that spot every single time. When you walk in, the person behind the counter greets you immediately -- and not the dry "hi, what can I get you?" type of greeting. You get a full "¡Buenos días, mija!" with that warm, almost‑grito energy that makes you feel like you just walked into your tío's spot instead of a restaurant. Super friendly, super natural, and very SoCal. I ordered the rolled tacos plate and wow... esa porción estaba gigante. I couldn't finish it. What I loved most was the meat; this is what meat is supposed to taste like. The beef was seasoned the way we grew up eating it: a little salty, a little savory, with that slow‑cooked tenderness that lets you know it didn't come from some pre‑bagged, mystery‑meat situation. You get hints of garlic, a little cumin, and that warm, almost toasty flavor that comes from meat that's actually been browned, not steamed. It tasted like someone's abuela was in the back saying, "No, no, déjalo dorar un poquito más. And the corn tortillas? Perfect. Thin enough to get that crisp roll, thick enough not to shatter. None of that flour‑tortilla‑trying‑to‑be‑crispy nonsense. These were crunchy, flavorful, and loaded. The toppings were just as good. The guacamole tasted fresh. You could taste the real avocado which was creamy, a little chunky, with lime that actually tasted like lime and not concentrate. The red salsa had a legit kick to it. It had hints of roasted chiles, was smoky and had a slightly bitter edge that tells you they actually roasted them instead of just tossing raw peppers into a blender. It wasn't tourist spicy; it was SoCal Mexican‑restaurant spicy, which is a whole different category. My partner ordered a breakfast burrito and honestly? That thing could've fed three people. It was massive, stuffed to the brim with cheese, egg, potatoes, and fresh bacon and exactly what a SoCal breakfast burrito should be: simple, hearty, and no shortcuts. Between the portions, the flavor, and the service that feels like home, this spot stays on my list every time I'm in Oceanside. If you're craving real Mexican food and not Tex‑Mex, pull up. You'll leave full and happy. #supportlocal
