Octopus! Normally not a fan but this was so tender and delicious.

What an awesome place! Service is good but the food is fantastic. Second time here and still trying new things. Do not miss this if you visit Rockport.

Where to start with this review? Probably with Natalie, the excellent server who greeted me with instant warmth--just like the hostess. I didn't have a reservation and was just hoping to grab a table or even sit at the bar, and the staff could not have been kinder. The food? Even better. I started with their signature spicy pineapple margarita--absolutely incredible. Then came the tuna tostada and patatas bravas!! So beautiful and delicious - followed by the best ultimate bread pudding and ice cream to go! I'm still dreaming about that dinner! I lived in Spain - these are exquisite tapas! Gabriela's Seafood and Tapas is a stunning spot whether you're on a romantic date, celebrating something special, or just craving the most delicious food in Rockport. Thank you for having me--I can't wait to come back!

Best meal we've ever had in this town. Great ambiance, and our dog loved the upstairs porch!

Michelin quality, food, and service! This was our first time and it was so outstanding that we went back the next night! I'm attaching the receipt so that you know the price points and what to expect but trust me, it's worth every penny! We were greeted and seated immediately. Everyone working there was top quality. The chef came out to see how we were doing and prepared outstanding food, quality, and flavor! We did not order any cocktails, but did enjoy many different dishes. I realized after afterwards that on some of them, we were so excited to dig in that I didn't take a picture, oops. Expect seasonal changes to Menus. I assure you when we come back to Rockport this will be our first destination for dinner. I only wish that they had locations across all of Texas.

Went here for our anniversary. They sat us at a two seater table even though almost the whole top floor was empty. Everyone seated after us was a couple and got four seaters or bigger. Ordered the Spanish sausage, soup of the day, strawberry grouper bites, corn ribs, and paella. The paella was good but the rice was hard and some of the seafood was overcooked and rubbery. The gumbo was not very gumbo at all. Very tomato-y and definitely missing a good roux base. The corn ribs were the best item there. Asked the waitress what the honey whipped ricotta was and she clicked on the item to see if there are any descriptions about it. It was accidentally sent to the kitchen. The manager came by with it and when we said we did not order it, she gave it to the table next to us. The waitress assured us 3x that they removed it from our tab. Got my receipt through the Toast app and it was not removed. Overall disappointing experience.

Love the ambiance. You can sit outside on the 2nd floor balcony or inside on the first floor. There are different menus and today they had a brunch menu but you can still order from regular menu. I wanted the octopus ceviche but they only offer during HH and on certain days I was told. Ordered shrimp ceviche and a crab crostini appetizer and glass of wine. Total was 53.00 for one person. Not sure why the ceviche had a 1.00 up charge but prob because I had the shrimp. Half of the ceviche was the cucumber and mango and onions. It was dry and could have used more lime/lemon juice. The crab crostini was delicious except the crostini was not toasted nor crunchy. The crab was plentiful and worth the 28.00 for the appetizer. However,The bread used was somewhat soggy and could barely hold up the crab. I may come back to give another try during HH

10/10!!! If you eat anywhere in Rockport, you must come here. Absolutely delicious, the cutest restaurant ever, extremely fast service!! We didn't wait at all to be seated, order, or get our food.

We only stopped in for coffee and a dessert but WOWZERS!! Quick, attentive service paired with a beautiful, beach-y interior creates an unbeatable combo. The sopapilla cheesecake is singularly one of the best desserts I've ever had

We visit my parents once or twice while they snowbird in Rockport, and we were looking for a new experience and place to eat and found Gabriela's. What a treat! We ordered several things to share (it is a tapas restaurant), and we didn't have any bad bites! Chili shrimp is 10/10 and I could have this for a meal. The tacos are filled with plenty of fish (shrimp or mahi) and they are hearty. The corn ribs have an excellent flavor though they are a little challenging to eat. It was worth how messy they are, though. The patatas bravas are excellent and I noticed some reviews that said they wanted the aioli but since this isn't Spanish tapas, I didn't except it and they were still delicious. The serving is a good size for sharing too. The croquettes bacaloao are made with cod and not the salt cured kind that you get in Spain so they are tasty. The albóndigas are a treat and a nice size for sharing. The wine list is limited and we couldn't order a bottle (at least we didn't see this option on the menu) and the Paloma's are excellent! For dessert we all shared both the Pie de Limon and the chocolate almond torte. Both were delicious and the key lime was exceptional. The service is great with efficient and friendly staff (my only suggestion is that we didn't get the specials given to us and we forgot to ask and the special was a seafood lasagne that looked amazing!). It is a small and tastefully decorated restaurant and I'm sure they will keep getting better and better. What a treat for this town!

It's a really decent restaurant and I highly recommend it if I can if you love seafood or very adventurous with your palette. (BTW it might not be for everyone), I've went there at night which gives it a very interesting experience including the upstairs area it was pretty fancy. (A little expensive but get hey it was worth it LOL) It had really good service and the people that served us were really nice and I've got the tortilla chips and got the Mahi Mahi tacos which were amazing! They do a good job with cooking their fish and is freshly caught. KUDOS!!!

We are at a seafood restaurant for our anniversary. They are out of calamari and the whitefish ceviche and due to that, they charged me an extra $1 because I ordered the all shrimp ceviche. They don't carry Patron tequila (for my margarita). Smallest margarita I have ever seen. Served in a SMALL margarita glass and charge $21. Small like maybe 4 ounces...maybe. We ordered chips and salsa/guacamole $12). Barely any salsa so we asked for more chips and salsa. Tacked on another $7. Very disappointed!!! Will never be back! Service was good and ambiance was good. I am including a copy of my bill so you can see the charges. Food was OK but nothing to write home about.

Arrived at 9 pm Restaurant closed at 10 Greeted and were informed immediately what time kitchen would close. This was nice by letting us know we had to be quick on our feet to order. Sat upstairs/outdoor ambiance. All waitresses and host were sweet, social, and helpful. Ordered apps, dinner and drinks. Food was amazing even at closing time. Quality and quantity was on point! Ordered the tuna watermelon salad, ceviche, grilled shrimp for the little one, and paella dishes. Everything was amazing and flavorful and different. Pretty good for a small town. My 6-year-old daughter was served her meal last, and when she finally received her chicken nuggets, they were raw and undercooked inside. Unfortunately, she had already eaten one nugget before we discovered it. We are now monitoring her closely for possible foodborne illness, including salmonella exposure, which no parent should ever have to worry about after dining out. What made the situation worse was the way management handled it. Initially, we were only offered 50% off the bill, despite the seriousness of serving raw chicken to a child. They did not automatically remove or comp the child's meal or the replacement meal. When we expressed that we appreciated the gesture but wanted to speak with the owner about the situation, management became defensive rather than taking accountability. Eventually, we were told the entire ticket would be covered -- but only if we agreed to never come back. That response was shocking and unprofessional. At no point did we feel genuine concern, accountability, or care for our child's wellbeing. Mistakes can happen in any restaurant, but how a business responds says everything. Serving raw chicken is a serious health risk, especially to a young child, and the handling of the situation left us feeling dismissed rather than cared for. We cannot recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

There wasn't a single vegan‑friendly option--no balsamic, no simple oil‑and‑vinegar--so that part definitely missed the mark. They also charge full price for the all‑you‑can‑eat salad bar even if you only want one plate. I thought that was a bit silly, but rules are rules. I also tried their blue mimosa, which was new on the menu. It didn't taste any different from a regular mimosa, so I'm pretty sure it was just champagne with blue curaçao for color. Fun to look at, but nothing special flavor‑wise. On the positive side, everyone in my group who ordered seafood was thrilled. My friend's coconut shrimp was cooked perfectly--crispy, not greasy, and with just the right amount of coconut so it wasn't overwhelming. Several people at our table ordered the crab cakes, and they all raved about how good they were. Overall, the seafood seems to be the star here, but the salad bar and drink execution could use some attention.

I was too hungry to look through the reviews I just saw the photos and figured it be a nice ambience. I do want to add we got there 45 mins before closing time so this may be a reason why the food was subpar. We walked in and the hostess greeted us and sat us outside, I wanted to have a nice view of the dock. We sat down, it was eerily quiet... there was another party sitting adjacent from us. It was a bit awkward, no music, just silence.... Anyway, our waitress came in and helped us. I had no problem with the staff they were really kind. We get our food, the Gumbo tasted okay, tasted like veggie soup in a can. Husband liked the tortilla soup. We ordered chips and salsa, salsa tasted store bought. I ordered a ribeye with linguine and veggies. Husband ordered chicken fried steak with baked potato. The linguini was hard and dry as if left out for hours so I asked for a baked potato, the baked potato was room temp and a bit hard, same with my husband's. The ribeye was good though. I would not come back unfortunately, the place has potential given its right by the dock. If I do go back, it will just be for drinks.
