Adorable NEW coffee shop in Rockport! In town having dinner on a Tuesday evening and wanted to get a cup of coffee. Quick search on maps to find that almost every place was closed. Coffee Spanked is Rockport's first evening coffee shop. Open Tue - Sat from around 3pm - 9/10pm. Upon entering we were greeted right away by the owner behind the bar. Brenda was so welcoming and very informative on everything she had to offer us. This place itself is quite small. They have a few seating options and even a room in the back you can rent! There is plenty of parking right in the lot across the street. The coffee itself is delicious and prices are extremely fair. I have never been to a coffee shop with so many sugar free flavors! They have everything you can get at a local coffee shop, PLUS more. Brenda has plenty of pastry options as well to choose from that she makes homemade daily. She gets her beans from a local roaster which places this place even better.

A little snapshot of the brain puzzles they've got on the social table!

Maybe it's just the name that peaked my curiosity? Though, I gotta admit I was like "what the WHAT?! Why?" Y'all, everything is shut down in this cute little town on a Tuesday. I did a ME day while the kids were at school and needed a little boost before my drive back home and when I searched for local coffee on Google maps, this was the only place that I could go because other places closed at 3pm. Mind you, it was 2:50pm, but THAT is another review. This place it super cute outside and in. I pulled up out front at 2:55pm and waited patiently in my car. Seconds after my engine went off a couple of adorable older ladies pulled in beside me and started to gather themselves and get out of the car. They helped each other over to the cafe and I to the doors. I was not about to put any pressure to rush them along so I hung back for a few minutes before going in. It's a small venue, but every little detail feels personal. These ladies were local and they knew the owner and her son. (I think that's the story I overheard). One of the ladies was like a little child in toy store for the first time ever. She was oooooh-ing and Awwww-ing about this and that on the menu and then I heard her say "BO-BA? What on earth is Boba Tea!?" Oh my goodness, I laughed out loud and told her how much fun it was hearing her discover all the things. The owner explained everything offered. Her chocolate drizzle cakes, some sort of Pecan Rolls that were to die for, and more. It was a fantastic experience and I hadn't even gotten to order yet. My coffee was perfection. They have all the milks too!! I had a coconut milk Mocha, Iced. So great! I meant to get back on the road, but I gave myself 10 minutes to just sit on the couch and chat with the ladies some more. The son of the owner apparently built the place! AND quite possibly designed and built the amazing table in the center of the cafe for social time and brain puzzle challenges. (See my photo of a tiny taste of what is on the table!) I highly recommend throwing yourself into the sweet local experience of this place. Your tastebuds won't regret it and neither will your heart. Oh! Before I go... they boast being an "evening cafe" and it's a brilliant idea! They also offer a ridiculous number of "Red Bull SPANKS" that sound really refreshing if I could drink Red Bull without Forest Gumping my way to Mexico and back because of the caffeine. Enjoy!

Looking for a late night latte, look no further. This place is a gem! My wife and I stopped in to have a coffee and ordered a slice of homemade cake to share. I ordered a latte with Irish cream and my wife had a latte with cinnamon dulce. Both were excellent. The owner and staff are wonderful and don't forget to pet Nugget. We'll be back!

My family and I loved this place, we stopped just to grab iced coffee, ended up ordering coffees, energy drinks, and delicious pastries. Stayed for a hour playing the cool board games they had. We love it

The coffee is great and the pastries are homemade. They offer many other drinks other than coffee products.

Service was super speedy even though they had a bit of a crowd. Would totally come back again, but its totally a place you'd wanna keep secret! I adore little hole-in-the-wall places and this is totally the best of the best! Thanks again yall

We knew it was late in the morning so obviously they wouldn't have everything. The woman in the front was super sweet, and there was a man in the front to who was helpful. Our one star comes from an extremely rude man in the back. My 3 year old son has CP and can't control some of his repetitive motor functions. He was hitting the glass pastry case (not hard - he's 3) and the guy in the back yelled "who's doing that!?" I apologized and pulled my son away and he goes "I just wiped it down!" I highly doubt we were the only people to do that ever if he's had to wipe it down multiple times today. And sure, it's annoying. Which is why I apologized. But it was the tone and the complete lack of any sort of tact or customer service that shocked us. When my husband went back in to explain he was even more rude and basically told us to control our kid. If he was running around breaking things in the entire store - absolutely. This attitude would have been warranted. But he put his hands on a pastry case for f's sake. Calm down. Whoever said Rockport is kid friendly...lied. And this place is living proof. So make sure if you have kids to tell them not to touch ANYTHING here. Or better yet keep them in the car. Wouldn't want to upset the troll in the back.
