Found my new coffee spot! This was a great experience! Friend of mine suggested this one and was spot on. Upon entering I immediately liked it. So much to look at and it smelled amazing. The staff was super helpful and explained everything we needed to hear and made slight adjustments to our drinks. We ordered their cafe sua and ube latte. Both amazing. Not many can nail the ube latte but this one was top tier. The sua was just as great. We also ordered their banana bread muffin and the blueberry pastry. No complaints what so ever. My fav coffee shop in Corpus by far! All of the workers here are kind and welcoming! Saigon Civet is super cute, has a bunch of different seating, and has chess boards galore! Not to mention an abundance of cute capybara plushies! I've tried pretty much every drink here, and you can't go wrong with any of them. My go to is the cafe sua... highly caffeinated and delicious! The drinks here are a bit pricy, but makes sense considering the beans come from Vietnam. The food here is also great.. would recommend the steak bahn mi. They cook the steak perfectly, and the bread is crispy and yummy. read more

They burned my croissant. I did not open the bag until I got home. Disappointing. Last time I was here I received a coffee full of coffee grinds, and I went back to get a new one. I can't be going back to this restaurant every time I order something. Your employees need to pay attention to what they're doing. This place costs way too much for shoddy work. read more

BEST SPOT IN CORPUS BY FARRRRRR - customer service is 200 out of 10, their food and where they source their meat from is unheard of as far as I know most places use Sysco but they use a way better source and it's actually local to corpus too ! Tried the steak Au Poirve for the first time from the French menu and loved it! Was scared it was going to be too spicy, but it was perfect with the sauce on top!! I dropped in for an afternoon coffee. Was curious about trying the Vietnamese drip roast coffee as I've heard it can be pretty strong. Got a 16 ounce and it was over six dollars. That is kind of pricey compared to Starbucks but possibly better coffee? I know one thing it was so smoking hot. They double cupped it, and I still couldn't hold onto the cup. I ran to the car to set it down as quick as it could without spilling it. I was also a little disappointed in their choice of sweeteners. They had regular brown sugar or sweet and low as the only options. They did have heavy cream, which I had them add to my coffee. The Vietnamese coffee had a good strong taste without being bitter. Even though it was a bit pricey for a 16 ounce drip coffee I would probably try it again next time I'm in town. Next time I will bring my own sweetener and add it when I get back to the car for health reasons lol . Don't use real sugar or sweet and low. read more

Food was tasty and the temperature just right! Seemed to be fresh! I enjoy the coconut latte, however it can overwhelm you with sweetness. I did request half sweet and I got what I wanted. The coffee shop has a drive thru, and an inside space. The ambiance is chill and quiet. I usually come in on a whim and sit, eat, people watch, play on my phone... basically a relaxing place. The only thing I wished was that the dumplings weren't microwaved, maybe a convection oven or a crockpot for them to sit in. My family and I are spending the weekend in Corpus Christi, so of course that means I get to explore the area for a nice coffee shop, and boy did we hit the jackpot with Saigon's Civet Cafe! This place is very close to our AirBnB and super easy to get to. This shop has oversized Connect Four, books, card games, and other things to make your stay fun. The pastry case has muffins and croissants and there are also some Vietnamese treats, too. The menu is extensive, boasting a variety of flavors like pandan lattes, Ube lattes, and foods like avocado toast and a fuller food menu towards the back. My parents ordered the coconut latte and muffin and I had the Ube latte and avocado toast. The barista said if we bought a mug and brought it back we'd get 15% off our order but since we don't live here we decided not to, but I did want to buy a bag of coffee. Maybe tomorrow on the way out. Our table had an old fashioned coffee grinder which was fun to fiddle with. The roasting machine towards the back looked like a train engine! The toast was fantastic. Very simple but fresh-tasting and delicious. The latte was perfect. Had that nice, sweet Ube flavor and purple milk to make it photogenic. My parents and I fell in love with this spot and their cute civet mascot. If you're in town, I highly recommend this place! read more

Customer service was terrible, me and my Hispanic family walked in and they immediately brought up Hispanic music to play instead. They said "what's her name Selena Quintanilla?Selena Gomez?" and then continued to misremember other Hispanic artists. Nothing that was said is rude in anyway but the ignorance about Hispanic culture that was brought up as soon as we walked in left a terrible taste in my mouth. If that wasn't enough, I had ordered the last chocolate muffin. About 15 minutes later I ask where it was. The workers then scrambled asking one another where it was only to find out they forgot it in the oven and burnt it. Last but not least my coffee was very watered down. I've gone through the drive thru a few times, but today was the first time I stopped inside, got food, and worked. Coffee as usual was amazing! Fresh, warm, and hit the spot. The food was excellent as well. Flavorful and hot (temperature). The vibe was chill and relaxing. Staff enjoyed games and convos and were super friendly throughout my whole experience. I typically don't work too often outside of the house (goal for 2024 was to get out more) and I'm glad I chose this spot. A few others came in and worked or just hung out. We ordered the Pandan and Ube Latte -my Ube latte had 3 shots of expresso. Personally, it wasn't that strong to my liking. I just wanted to try the Ube Latte since I normally drink black coffee. Next time, I do want to try their Vietnamese Coffee (Cà Phê Sữa Đá)... I don't believe their beans are "Civet Coffee Beans" Based on conversation that my buddy had with the barista. I found the cafe on Yelp and wow. You can really taste the freshness in the roasted coffee beans. I've had Vietnamese coffee before and I've tried to make it at home, my version anyway. This place tops it all. It's very aromatic, as soon as you walk in. Your senses are on overload and your mouth starts to water lol. You can tell the place is intimate and personal...it's not there too just make money. It exists to make memories and it did for me. A new coffee shop in Corpus? Of course I had to try it. What originally drew me to this place was that they offer Ube,pandan and coconut flavored lattes. It's located in the Meadow Oaks shopping center, which is my old neighborhood growing up so that was cute. I got the Ube iced latte with an extra espresso shot. I love Ube and I love this place, I just wish the espresso pulls were stronger. The sweetest of the ube definitely overpowered the espresso, I would prefer a more subtle flavor profile that compliments the espresso rather than cover it completely. Bonus point for their food price points. Avocado toast was under $5! As an Austinite, that's a deal!!! Cute atmosphere and board games to play as you sip/enjoy your beverages. My wife and I visited the cafe on our vacation to Corpus. I am always on the look for unique coffee experience as I'm kind of a connoisseur. The owner was extremely friendly and explained the process of his coffee brews and roasting. He gets Vietnamese Robusta straight from the farm and roasts it on house with a hand made roaster. I have used his Robusta "Vigo" with pour over, french press, aeropres, and traditional phin filter like he showed me. Haven't had a bad cup yet. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Im so glad I came across this hidden gem!! I loved the interior design/vibe of this coffee shop - it felt very cozy & home-y. They also have bakery and food items here too. I got the cafe sua which was so good and you can tell from the first sip that it's actual Vietnamese iced coffee unlike the other coffee shops... (vu tea inside HEB plus @ saratoga/staples lol) The banh mi was also a 10/10 for me!! I'm a local here in Corpus Christi, and I'm so sad I haven't heard of or tried this place yet. My family and I went out for a little pick me up and came across Saigon's. First off, the atmosphere is so cute and relaxing. They had some calming beats music and it was all very quaint. I also have to mention - the staff was so nice!! We ordered just plain cold brews. I wish I had tried something more adventurous for the sake of this review, but I must say this was one of the best cold brews I've had. They have a ton of options to choose from for both drinks/food. I absolutely loved this place. The staff is always friendly and offers great suggestions. The atmosphere is cozy. I can say so many great things about this place until you enter their co-ed restrooms. I went twice in a 2 week span. There was no soap and after the second visit, the restroom looked in the exact condition as the first time. The walls and floors in the restroom have stains that look like it has been untouched for a while. It was disappointing to see. I really was looking forward to their French menu.
