Tonight, my family and I visited this restaurant/bar. We were a group of 5 adults. My brother was wearing golf-style Bermuda shorts, sandals, and a golf shirt -- perfectly appropriate resort attire -- yet he was denied entry to the bar area because of his shorts and sandals. What made the experience even more frustrating was that there were no signs anywhere mentioning a dress code. We had also just paid for valet parking, and apparently even the valet staff was unaware of this policy. To make matters worse, we spotted another gentleman already dining inside wearing shorts and sandals. The inconsistency and lack of communication made this a very disappointing experience. Worst experience ever. The valet parking will refund our money in about 5 business days. That' was the positive highlight of our visit. Never again!!!! read more

The server said it had just been opened... which was a bit questionable. The service was mid. The ambiance is beautiful, and the view of the guitar is nice, but the restaurant didn't open until after the guitar show. Outdoor seating is very tight. Hubs surprised me for Valentine's Day with dinner and a show. We went the weekend after Vday to enjoy the non rush. Make a res!! This place is in high demand. Not only is the Hardrock across the street but the place is Kosher also. The weather was windy and the eating rain but there is a large cover. A private party was happening over by the pool so music was very loud. Our waiter was fine. Menu had good options for an Asian American meal. I loved the sweat and sour beef with pineapple. Treated ourselves to lava cake too. The view was great! Our timing was perfect and saw the guitar little show. The bar area and seating was super cool! There's an odor seating area also. We came for a business meeting on Monday night and literally could not hear each other. The place was packed, so moving wasn't an option. Multiple guests complained at the same time, yet nothing was done. The DJ lowered the volume for maybe a minute, then turned it right back up. I honestly don't understand how management allows one DJ to ruin the experience for an entire room of paying customers. Amazing restaurant, but the absurdly loud music completely destroyed the night. If I could give zero stars I would. We had a party of 8 at the rooftop for a birthday, ordering drinks and told the server we would be putting in food eventually. We were then rudely approached by the "manager" in a wrinkly button down with five o clock shadow who told us that we were taking up a table, and were not in dress code but he "ALLOWED" us in earlier and now we either had to spend $80 per person or leave. Mind you we are all fashionable people and wear designer, but somehow we were out of line. The manager tried to baby talk us so we wouldn't see the truth: we were not the race or religion they wanted at this place. The tables next to us were in sweatshirts, shots and flip flops, is that the dress code? There were only about 5 tables occupied in the rooftop TOTAL, but somehow we were out of line. Staff was unfriendly, unwelcoming, and manager was rude from the start. We felt discriminated. We had a group of 21 people at this rooftop bar to celebrate my cousin's 40th birthday. Fifteen of us were already inside, ordering drinks, food, and enjoying ourselves -- all in anticipation of the birthday girl's arrival. But when she got there, the staff refused to let her in, stating the venue was at capacity. It didn't matter to them that the majority of their business that night was from our group. It didn't matter that we were there to celebrate a once-in-a-lifetime milestone. They made zero effort to accommodate or offer solutions -- just a heartless "no." This place clearly lacks not only good management, but basic human decency. If you're planning a special event or hoping to be treated with dignity, go somewhere else. read more

After getting upstairs, there was another hostess who greeted us who again asked if we had a reservation. Not sure what the purpose of two hostesses was but I digress. When we were initially seated, we were seated inside. It is cozy and quiet inside, but the appeal of this restaurant is definitely the view outside. We ordered a couple appetizer's beef negimaki this was lacking flavor it had no pop we have had it before and it was much better this about a year ago. The other dish we had was the chicken wings they were very small more sauce than chicken on this dish and super overcooked also the Chicken Yakitori for my daughter but it never came out until we flagged down the server and reminded him after our entrees came out he must have found the one we never got because when we got it, the micro greens were all wilted and the chicken was cold to the touch. The night we were there was very hot, ceiling mounted fans are plentiful, can be repositioned and helped mitigate the heat. Dinner consisted of several sushi rolls and beef fried rice. Food was well done, high quality and tasted very good. My only negative observation was while the sushi rolls were priced comparably to what I get in the Northeast, the diameter was about half of what I was accustomed to. Would make a return visit and if anyone in your party has a shellfish allergy the kosher menu eliminates possible issues. read more

This rooftop Japanese restaurant definitely has ambience & spectacular views of the Hard Rock Hotel. At night the place lights up in pink hues and gets pumping with music. We arrived during daylight late afternoon with a party of 8. We started out with varies sushi appetizers including G7 named after the restaurant. These were delicious, we also tried a glazed mushroom appetizer that had great taste & texture, all very delightful! For entree we tried the teriyaki salmon & bok choy, I added Broccoli but it tasted very oily & charred, not so much to my liking, the salmon was a good portion & the glaze was super tasty. My husband had the 18oz Ribeye steak with potatoes & he truly enjoyed it to the bone. After dinner we went to the upper pool level where the DJ rocks the night away on the rooftop with spectacular views.
