This restaurant is elite. Staff is top class and the food speaks for itself. The maître d' Emily sets the tone for the experience with a warm welcome. Moments later you're sat in a dining room that elevates your senses. Chef's Jonathan Kaiser and Efrain Barquero orchestrate a service that few can duplicate. Recommend you go as often as possible. My favorites, All Crudos, Foie Gras, Beef Cheek Tortelloni, BISTECCA for two.

As partner and I were staying at Pier Sixty-Six we decided to have dinner at Calusso. One of the wonderful features of Pier Sixty-Six is that, for handicapped individuals such as I, they offer a wheelchair service. Merely ask, and someone with a wheelchair will come by to take you to your destination. So, as Calusso is some distance from the hotel, I went by wheelchair, and glad I did as there no handicapped ramp way into Colusso, only a rickety afterthought of a lift. Design wise, Calusso is everything you might expect in a multibillion dollar resort. The epitome of luxury fashion. Its French/Italian menu isn't all that extensive with a selection of only about eight entrees, but there are always special. I started off with a good rum cocktail, then an octopus with garbanzo, preserved lemon and black garlic. For my entree I had their Scallop with heirloom carrots, leek stew and tumeric emulsion. It was totally delicious as well as a unique dish. I had to laugh. I've always said that in any restaurant the price is directly proportional to the length of their pepper grinder, and here at Calusso they have one that's nearly five feet long. But though Calusso is pricey, I found it reasonable considering the quality of the. food, the atmosphere and the service.

Went with a group of ten for a friend's birthday. The restaurant is upscale looking and has some nice views, but the service was slow even though it was fairly empty. I enjoyed my meal, but one of the reviews mentioned Michelin quality, and this was far from it based on the food and service. It felt a bit overpriced for what we got, but the space and atmosphere are nice. I probably won't be back anytime soon.

Swanky fine dining spot at pier 66 on the intraCoastal with beautiful views! There were no reservations available but to our surprise when we walked in the restaurant the bar and restaurant seemed relatively empty. We decided to take a spot at the bar which was aesthetically stunning. Our server was quick to come over and attentive. We asked for menus, undecided if we would be eating there and not sure they had any specials as he didn't mention any but based on the rotation of menu, it seemed there would have been. After looking at the menu, there was nothing appetizing to us at the time and the prices were very high although that was not of concern if anything caught our eye. Cocktails were around $25+ and wine $17+, appetizers $20+, and entrees $30+. Overall, I am curious if this is really a market for Fort Lauderdale but seems to be the new wave of restaurants. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for fine dining and stepping out of the laidback beach scene.

Calusso Is a definite splurge, but this fine dining restaurant did an outstanding job the other night delivering on the promise of what a fine dining restaurant Is in terms of service, ambiance and food. We sat outside at the perfect table overlooking the marina, intracoastal and in the distance, downtown Fort Lauderdale. Our drinks were quick to arrive and we enjoyed some caprese oysters with our drinks. The grilled octopus appetizer was almost too beautiful to eat but tasted as good as it looked. For our entrees, several of us went with the biggest splurge on the menu- a 40oz porterhouse steak for the table for $275. It came out in an oak wine box, was perfectly cooked, seasoned and was carved table side. It could easily feed 4 people. Another In our group got the pork pluma which was $52. We also got the squash stuffed pasta ($29) to share as a side as there are no traditional "starch sides" (e.g. potatoes of any kind) on the menu. We also tried a couple of their veggie sides Including a braised escarole which was very unique (not my fav but others loved It!) The wine list was vast and they have several great choices by the glass as well. While I was anticipating high prices- the only price that gave me pause was for my grey goose dirty martini. It was $31! Basically the same price as one of the Cabs I chose to eat with my steak. All In all Calusso was the perfect choice for a splurge dinner!

Amazing experience here! The restaurant is gorgeous and part of the new Pier Sixty-Six, so I was very excited for dinner. We had wine to start and they brought fresh focaccia which was to die for! We both had the caccio e pepe and split the broccolini. I loved the giant salt and pepper shakers they use at the tables! Then we had the comte cheese honeycomb dessert (the real mvp). The service was impeccable with multiple staff members tending to us making sure we were having a great experience. We enjoyed our meal in the dining room but the bar was also beautiful, and there was an outdoor patio with a view of the marina.

What a great restaurant in the newly renovated Pier 66 complex in Fort Lauderdale. Food was delicious as was service. Bigeye tuna & crab appetizer was incredible. For entrees we had the filet & heritage chicken. Two thumbs up for both. We sat outside with a stunning view of the gorgeous pool area. Check out the revolving penthouse lounge in the hotel, g for a pre dinner drink with an epic view of Fort Lauderdale

We came here with some friends while visiting the area. Amazing location and views. The food is exquisite. Service is amazing!! The seafood was amazing, they had great options for the crudos that we enjoyed. Octopus was delicious! Would definitely be back.

We came in here to experience one of Ft. Lauderdale's new kids on the block Calusso , and to celebrate our 12 year wedding anniversary. We arrived early to take it all in and have a pre dinner drink. Please be advised if you arrive early they still sit you at your reservation time. As we waited for our table we sat inside and had some drinks at the lovely bar. Renee the bar tender was super friendly and helpful. We had some wine questions and she promptly sent over in the in house sommelier. She was very helpful and helped us pick the wine of the night, She brought the bottle over to us and opened it up to let it breath while we await our 815 reservation. After a few drinks we were still waiting on our table and were told our table wasn't ready yet. Renee topped off our drinks and apologized for the wait. The wait now became annoyingly long, seeing our frustrations she went over and grabbed the manager and explained our issue. The manager came over and apologized and said she was working on our table and would be sat very soon. Finally 30 minutes later we sat at our table and were treated with a glass of champagne and a Happy Anniversary toast from the manager. It was Very nice of the them to do that And we felt loved. Our next encounter we met Sherman, our server for the night. He too wished us a Happy Anniversary and walked us through the menu and any questions we had. We enjoyed table side bread and olive oil and finally got to try our wine choice. As we enjoyed the chilly night and wine we were unfortunately told by Sherman our food was running behind a bit. Uhggggg. What is suppose to be a memorable night is starting to have memories that I don't care to remember. As we waited the GM Gary now has come to our table to deliver deviled Trout eggs as a good gesture for our inconveniences we are experiencing. Gary stated the chef takes pride in his food and dishes and if it's not to his liking he willl not send it out. As a foodie I can appreciate that but it's getting a little crazy. It's now after 10 pm and we havent had our main dishes yet. To add fuel to this story we also had a reservation at 1030 upstairs at the pier bar, Gary said not to worry, the rest of the night will go smoothly and not to worry about upstairs he would call and let them know of our situation. Dinner finally arrived and true to his word the presentation was perfect and so was the flavors. I guess the old saying is correct patience is a virtue! Sometimes the wait is worth it and this is one of those times. It's just hard when you become Hangry!! As we enjoyed every bite Gary and Sherman both revisited our table to make sure we were all set, and to let us know desert is on its way. Much to our surprise 3 main desert options arrived without even ordering one. Gary was pleased to tell us about the deserts and to inform us the the whole dinner (Minus Wine I bought at bar) was being taken care of . It absolutely blew our minds. This was not only not expected but also unnecessary, he also informed us that when we get upstairs our first drink is on them as well. The roller coaster of emotions tonight has seen everything. I am thankful for the staff and crew that made this crazy night one to remember . Thanks to everyone including Renee , Sherman and Gary. I am excited to know there is still good people who value their establishments and take pride in making sure people are happy and well fed. We look forward to coming back here and putting the chefs to work again making us amazing edible works of art. On a last note , I want to add this detail that just made me feel special. from the time we arrived at the valet to the hostess stand to the bar, table and pier bar EVERYONE I mean EVERYONE refered to me as Mr. Anthony . That little detail is something I loved. They know your name and say it often to make sure you feel important and it works, Thanks to the person who implemented this in your business. My next visit i will correct my review and give the 5th star it deserves. Live laugh and Patience !!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. Everything down to the service, food, and atmosphere. We started the night off with drinks and then ordered a bottle of wine, which was recommended by a sommelier. I had the Cacio e Pepe and my husband had the heritage chicken. Everything was flavorful and delicious. We'd definitely come back again!

From the moment we walked into Calusso, we knew we were in for something special. The ambience was nothing short of stunning -- elegant yet warm, with soft lighting, stylish décor, and a subtle buzz of energy that made the space feel alive but intimate. The service was impeccable from start to finish. Our server Juan was an absolute gem -- knowledgeable, personable, and incredibly attentive without being intrusive. He guided us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm, recommending dishes that turned out to be showstoppers and pairing them with a perfect bottle of champagne that elevated the entire experience. And the food? Simply divine. Every bite was packed with flavor, artfully presented, and clearly crafted with care. From the appetizers to dessert, each course was a delight. It's rare to find a restaurant where every element -- the vibe, the flavors, the service -- hits the mark so flawlessly, but Calusso nails it. This was more than just dinner -- it was an experience, and one we'll be talking about for a long time. If you're looking for a place that delivers excellence on every level, Calusso is it. Special thank you to one of the on site restaurant managers on site Skylar for getting us this reservation last minute.

Highly anticipated opening and it did not disappoint. Much needed Michelin quality restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. Very attentive service even for just opening. I expect in time it will only get better. The ambiance was so romantic. And not too noisy. Loved the large booth facing the whole restaurant. Perfect bar decor as well. Can't wait to be back.

We opted to sit outside, since it is waterfront and even though it was a hot summer day, it was surprisingly manageable since our covered table made all the difference while we enjoyed the stunning waterfront views. We kicked things off with cocktails, and some wine and the Sun Kissed Cocktail was an excellent choice. Not only was it delicious and refreshing, but the presentation was absolutely stunning . a real rose embedded inside an ice cube. It was almost too beautiful to drink... almost. For appetizers, we went with the Tropical Ceviche and the Tuna Tacos, and both were incredible. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and I loved the mango touch that both dishes shared as it added the perfect tropical sweetness. Then came the entrees, we shared the Shoyu Glazed Sea Bass served with a rice pilaf, edamame purée, bok choy, and shiitake mushrooms, this fish was literally melt-in-your-mouth perfection. We also shared the Lobster Diavolo Pasta which was equally impressive and packed with generous chunks of lobster throughout the pasta, plus a whole small lobster to crack into. And then there were the side of Brussels Sprouts ... honestly, I never thought I'd be raving about a side dish, but here we are. Served shredded rather than whole, and tossed in the most incredible sauce, these were hands down some of the best Brussels sprouts I have ever had in my life. A must-order. Boatyard exceeded every expectation. The food, the atmosphere, the presentation .. all top tier. My cousin picked a winner, and we'll absolutely be back!

Our server (Daniel? Can't remember unfortunately) was great - he took photos of us when we asked, using our phone and our instax Polaroid which was so sweet, even pulled a sharpie out of his pocket so i could write the place and date on them. i love the way the staff work together as a team, one person might take your order, someone else delivers the food/checks in on you, etc. - we never had to wait long when we needed something. I loved the artichoke appetizer - unique way of serving them and the cream sauce was delicious. I ordered the full snapper it was so good, perfectly golden crispy on the outside and tender meat on the inside. I would have loved the option to pair it with something besides rice but the dill rice itself was really good. Mostly the sides are à la carte. The bolognese was also delicious, as was the swordfish. The bread is also sweet and delicious, used to be free, now it's $8 for a tiny loaf. Overpriced for some bread. The full snapper was $59, most entrees are 40-50. I guess you also pay for the setting and view. Good experience overall, this was my second time at boatyard and I'm sure I'll be back again.

The location of them are perfect for date nights or special occasions!! Especially when you go during sunset! Overall it's just a place with a long wait and is a very enjoyable delicious time. The wait is so worth it! (They don't take reservations) The place had a bunch of great relaxing yet lively yet romantic type of vibes and you're surrounded by happy people- including the employees (atleast it seems so) and THE FOOD is just. I don't have the words. I mean, basically everything we've ever ordered at this restaurant has had us in shock after taking the first bites. Like even down to the French fries being yum! The lobster siracha mac and cheese (not sure what it's called on menu) is just my favorite and I crave it everyday if my life including right now as I write this Great staff also. Pricier than a typical restaurant but worth it because it's not a typical restaurant and it's not typical-tasting food.

It's very busy and loud there, though, if you are eating indoors at the bar like I was. The bartenders and barbacks are very busy. The restaurant is known for something called "Scoobies" which per Google Gemini are "crab claws (traditionally blue crab or snow crab) that have been partially de-shelled--leaving just the "pincher" as a handle--and sautéed in a rich sauce of garlic, butter, and olive oil with crushed red pepper and scallions." I didn't get the Scoobies because I was apprehensive about how difficult they would be to eat. My dishes were fried oysters, fish tacos, and coconut shrimp platter. They were all fine, but unremarkable. The platter comes with fries and cole slaw as listed, but when I said to the bartender that I didn't need cole slaw, just extra fries, he offered/clarified that I could substitute another side instead, so I went with broccoli. I did notice that there were many flies flying around when my shrimp platter came out. One of the other bartenders put out a plate of hot sauce to repel the flies, which helped. The place is famous and sells its own merchandise like shirts and hats. It is not located near other restaurants, and you'll have to walk fifteen minutes or get an Uber if you are discouraged by the waiting time. The people dining here look like they are pretty well off and are able to enjoy life.

Most importantly of all, though, the food is top notch. Everything I had, I loved. We ordered the set menu and I highly recommend it. We started with three delicate small bites - sashimi, beets with caviar, and liver. All were delicately put together with a pleasant flavor and nothing too overpowering. Next, we had a large sampling of different items, hummus, babaganoush, muhammara, pickled cauliflower, an incredible olive oil, a beef tallow edible candle, and one of the best homemade hot sauces I have ever had. Then, we had the main course, a perfectly done branzino, and the best beef I have ever had in my life, their waygu beef skewers. Finally, their dessert was sophisticated and so well done. I very highly recommend this place for a fine dining experience in all of the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area!

Evelyn's is hands down the best upscale restaurant in Broward County. Special occasion? Evelyn's…read more Date night? Evelyn's. Random Tuesday? Evelyn's. I think about this dining experience often and with a lot of joy. First, it's a beautiful space inside the Four Seasons and the service was phenomenal. The truffle hummus is life changing. I repeat, life changing. I dream about it. The Wagyu was the star of the show (it's hard not to when it comes over dry ice). The flavor was so good and it cut like butter. The potatoes were so crispy and delicious and paired perfectly. Other standouts were the branzino, octopus, and pavlova. All in all, this was one of the greatest meals I've ever had and I highly recommend!
