There are restaurants you plan to revisit, and then there are restaurants that turn into a full-blown marital mystery. My wife and I came here years ago and had one of those meals that sticks with you. Great food, killer atmosphere, one of those "we have to come back here" nights. Only problem? We completely forgot the name. For years, this place became our own personal Fort Lauderdale urban legend. We kept telling ourselves it was tucked down some side street away from the beach, hidden like a seafood speakeasy. Meanwhile every map kept insisting it was "at the beach," when what we were really remembering was this perfect spot sitting right on the Intracoastal with a view that makes you want to cancel the rest of your day. Well, mystery solved, and the return visit absolutely delivered. The view is flat-out magnificent. Boats cruising by, water sparkling, that laid-back South Florida energy where nobody should be in a hurry, especially the bar, which occasionally moves at the speed of a manatee on vacation. Honestly, it kind of adds to the charm. We started with the conch and shrimp fritters, and this is where the comedy began. The texture? Perfect. The flavor? Spot on. The actual conch and shrimp? Possibly still out in the ocean somewhere. Delicious fritters, but let's just say the seafood was working remotely. The sausage served with them, though, absolutely understood the assignment. The spinach and artichoke dip was excellent, rich, hot, and exactly the kind of appetizer that makes you accidentally ruin your appetite and not care. My fried snapper sandwich was the star of the table. Absolutely fantastic. Tender fish, fried perfectly, with a crust seasoned so well it felt like somebody in that kitchen actually loves food. Every bite hit. This is the kind of sandwich that makes conversation stop. The fish tacos, unfortunately, didn't get the same memo. Overcooked, underseasoned, and just kind of there. Not offensive, just forgettable, which in a place this memorable stands out even more. The burger, I'm told, was perfect. The tuna burger, on the other hand, got hit with what sounded like topping overload, to the point where the tuna itself got lost in the shuffle. If tuna is the headliner, let it sing. Now let's talk dessert, because this is the part that deserves its own standing ovation. The key lime pie is in a class by itself. Pro tip: save room. Seriously. This isn't one of those key lime pies that punches you in the face with fake tartness. It's balanced, subtle, fresh, and ridiculously good. The kind of dessert that makes everyone at the table suddenly become "just one bite" thieves. Pair that with a very well-made espresso martini, and suddenly all flaws are forgiven. Service was excellent throughout, and the whole experience reminded us exactly why this place haunted our memory for years. Four stars because a few dishes missed the boat, literally and figuratively, but I'd absolutely recommend it. Go for the fried snapper, the stronger appetizers, the mac and cheese, and above all else, that key lime pie. Some restaurants are worth finding once. This one was worth solving a years-long cold case.

The staff is super friendly - even though you should expect a wait! A very popular water-front spot with casual dishes. I sat at the bar before my table was ready and the drinks were delish. When i sat down, i got the Crab Cake Salad - it was good expect that the lettuce was drowning in dressing. The crab cake was amazing though and the view is awesome.

Fresh oysters, perfect martinis, fast service, wonderful views! Cant go wrong if you're looking for something popular and loved by locals and tourists.

If you're anywhere near Fort Lauderdale and don't make it to Coconuts, you're doing it wrong. Set right on the Intracoastal, this place nails that rare balance of laid-back coastal vibe and legitimately top-tier food. Boats drifting by, sun hitting the water just right--it's the kind of setting that makes you slow down whether you planned to or not. Now the food. The coconut shrimp? Absolute knockout. Perfectly crisp on the outside, tender inside, with just the right touch of sweetness--easily some of the best I've had anywhere. The coleslaw was fresh and bright (not drowning in mayo like so many places), and the fries were hot, crisp, and exactly what you want alongside seafood done right. And the Passion 75 cocktails... dangerous in the best way. Light, refreshing, and just strong enough to keep you ordering "one more" without thinking twice. Service was dialed in--friendly, attentive, but never hovering. The kind of team that knows exactly how to match the energy of the place. This isn't just a meal--it's a Fort Lauderdale experience. If you want waterfront dining done right, with food that actually backs it up, Coconuts delivers in every way.

Probably one of the most well known spots in Fort Lauderdale, you will see it on every recommendation list for restaurants. Plan ahead, there will be a line. Probably no matter what time you go. There is valet parking, and it fills up fast. We were very excited to try everything on the menu. The restaurant itself is very seafood focused. They have oysters, and all types of fish. It a relatively casual ambiance, but the atmosphere is lively and upbeat. I think this would be a great place for a small group of friends to get together and hangout. The food itself is fine. I got the fish tacos which were alright. My husband got the pasta, and our toddler got the Mac and cheese. Food was okay. Vibes are good all around though.

Pretty nice seafood place with a waterfront view. It feels like a fancy seafood dinner because of the view, but the setup is more fast, eat-and-go. I wanted to sit by the water, and they said there would be sun, but it was extremely hot--even in January. It would be much more comfortable with fans or some kind of cooling system. It's a perfect place to stop after the beach, but I wouldn't come here for dinner. The view is amazing, and again, with fans it would be much more enjoyable. I got the lobster roll for $25 and it was very delicious. This place reminds me of Key West--just needs a bit more indoor ambiance and better cooling.

Wow!!! I did not expect this place to be so good. We got on the waiting list as they do not take reservations. We walked around the area for about 30 minutes till our place in line was only 3 tables ahead of us and got back to the restaurant in time to be seated in outdoor area overlooking the marina. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing! We both ordered from the specialties menu. My sister got the lobster broil. It was chocked full of lobster, shrimp, mussles, clams, andioulle sausage. The broth was full of flavor. I got asian grilled salmon with bok choy. Cooked to perfection with a lite flavorful spice broth and pineapple! I highly recommend going to this restaurant. It does not disappoint!

Food is good. Service was disappointing. We waited about 30 minutes just for an add-on corn, and when it finally arrived, it was over-grilled and not enjoyable. We had to send it back and wait even longer for a remake. For a place with higher-end pricing, I expected much better timing and quality control.

Well oiled machine. Veteran establishment. They do it all well. Great service, delicious food, cool atmosphere. Loved every minute of it. This is a must visit on the inter-coastal.

Coconuts is always on my list when I'm in town. There is typically a long wait, but it's worth it for the food and sunset. I know the Scoobies are a highlight, so if you are a first timer they are worth a try, but once is enough for me. I'll order the coconut shrimp every time. And the coleslaw side is one of my favs. The resto is bustling both indoors and outside. I prefer the outdoor tables or sitting at the bar where the staff is super attentive!

We tried to get in on a Friday afternoon and there was a 1 hour plus wait. We went back for lunch the next day and waited only 10 minutes. The staff were excellent and very pleasant. I ordered the scoobies, they were highly recommended. The scoobies were very good but very messy. I had to work to get a little bit of crab meat, but the butter and garlic sauce it came in was very good. The lobster club was okay, it was 1 pound of lobster, yet the lobster was very bland, not the best lobster I ever ate. Overall this is a 3 1/2 star restaurant, Yelp needs to bring back the 1/2 star rating system for instances like this. Not quite a 4 star but not a 3 star. I also would never wait longer than 10 minutes for a table.

I would definitely recommend trying Coconuts. Our waiter, Ruendy, was nice and attentive, and the portion sizes were generous. I loved the BLTC (it was a special), and the oysters were excellent. They offered a daily selection of four different types. This was a great spot with good vibes! Overall, it was a great experience, and I would return.

Valet being $5 is a win for FTL beach. You can't miss the scooby snacks and oysters! So tasty and flavorful. The stone crab claws were the biggest disappointment for me... lacked in flavor.. honestly tasted like nothing which is bizzare. And they are not cheap. The coconut shrimp was on point but I would pass on the deviled eggs as a side the next time I go. I'm not big on crinkle fries, but these were seasoned nicely. My partner got the lobster roll which was delicious. Deducting the star for the stone crabs but the service was on point. The bread served with the scooby snacks tasted stale but maybe it was toasted and sat there

I can confidently say they delivered on one of those things, the experience. Unfortunately, the food felt like a failed attempt to escape... an escape room. Let's start with what absolutely works. The location is stunning. Truly breathtaking. The views are spectacular, the atmosphere is elegant, and the setting makes you feel like you have unlocked a premium level of Fort Lauderdale nightlife. The service is upscale and unhurried. No one rushes you, no one pressures you, and you are encouraged to linger and enjoy the moment. From a vibe perspective, you are winning. The drink menu is limited, but what they offer is top notch. Well crafted, balanced, and enjoyable. Think of the drinks as the first puzzle you solve successfully. Confidence is high at this point. Then the food arrives, and this is where the escape attempt starts to fall apart. We began with the bruschetta, which was absolutely dominated by balsamic. Not gently accented. Not thoughtfully drizzled. This was a full-scale balsamic ambush that completely overwhelmed the dish. Puzzle one failed. Next came the octopus. Perfectly cooked. Tender. Juicy. Textbook execution. Unfortunately, the flavor was nowhere to be found. Every bite was completely hijacked by the beans in the dish, leaving the octopus feeling like a background prop in its own plate. Puzzle two failed, morale dropping. Then came the calamari and mussels. Once again, the seafood was cooked properly, but flavor had clearly escaped through a hidden exit. Bland, forgettable, and confusing in how something prepared this well could taste like so little. Puzzle three failed, clock ticking. The fourth dish was the caprese salad, which somehow managed to swing in the opposite direction of the bruschetta. The tomatoes tasted like they were fresh from a grocery store shelf. The balsamic barely showed up this time, as if it had used up all its energy earlier. The mozzarella sat there watery and bland, contributing nothing and offering no clues. Final puzzle failed. Escape attempt unsuccessful. By the end of the meal, I felt like I had just spent two hours in an escape room where everything looked incredible, the staff was friendly, the room design was flawless, but none of the puzzles worked and you never actually escaped. Overall, Escape Rooftop Bar delivers breathtaking views, excellent service, and strong drinks. But the food turns the entire experience into a beautifully designed trap. When expectations are sky high and the kitchen cannot deliver, the disappointment hits harder. Two stars, awarded for the scenery, the cocktails, and the hope that one day the food finds the exit.

Drafts, bottles, cans... it's like they said, "Why limit happiness?" And honestly? That's the tone of the whole place. Welcoming. Comfortable. The kind of vibe where you could show up for one drink and accidentally solve all your life problems over three. Now let's talk food. Because this is where things get interesting... in a good way, mostly. The meatballs? Legit. The kind that make you pause mid-conversation just to acknowledge what's happening. The poutine... I mean, I'm legally obligated to say it... poutine routine. Couldn't resist. And thankfully, neither should you. It delivers. The sliders? Cooked perfectly. Juicy, balanced, exactly what you want. But... There's a small twist in the plot. That bacon jam. Someone in the kitchen is in love. And I respect it. But they might be a little too generous. It leans heavy. Not a dealbreaker, just a "whoa, okay, I see you" moment. Micro twist? You'll say you're full... and then still find yourself reaching for one more bite like it owes you money. Here's the bottom line. Twice Removed Gastropub knows exactly what it is. Great drinks. Solid food. A place that feels easy the second you walk in and even harder to leave. Four stars. And one of those spots you quietly hope doesn't get too popular... because you're already planning your next visit.

I have had several things from the menu, including a hamburger, house salad, wild salmon, chicken Melanesia, empanadas and even a hot dog! Everything is fresh and high quality. The salmon is huge and very fresh. It has a mild blackening/seasoning that forms a nice crust. The chicken reminds me of my mom/grandma/great grandma's chicken cutlets! Very Italian/Sicilian vibe. (Get them with mash potatoes). The patio is always comfortable with a great breeze and a view of the ocean a block away. What really stands out here though is the friendly service. Andres has been there almost every night and has always been great. He is very prompt with bringing drinks and food. You can see them hustling down to the kitchen and keeping things running smoothly. But what I like the most is the friendliness. He is always willing to chat about soccer, music, wine, or anything else (but also knows when to leave you alone so you can eat). Also, the value is pretty good. The wine is $10 or less. They have my favorite Malbec. And even the ribeye, at the beach, for $27 is not bad at all. Some of the appetizers are a bit pricey ($13 french fries) but I think all in all its one of the better values in the area. Note they do not serve liquor, only beer and wine. Also, there are no tables inside. Just a small bar inside and then several tables outside. This is a fairly quiet and unpretentious restaurant. If you want a trendy noisy evening this is not the place. It has never been packed, but there is usually a person or two at the bar. They play music but it does not dominate the atmosphere. Usually something chill like reggae. If you want friendly service, good food, and a relaxing environment, then this is a great choice. Dog friendly patio. This is the type of place you can sit with a book and drink wine, or catch the soccer game and have a beer or three. Definitely worth a visit especially if you are staying at the hotel!

The ambiance of the place is lovely, decorated with string lighting that looks so gorgeous at night. The patio area is much bigger than I anticipated and even has some larger tables for any larger parties. We started off with an appetizer of the peach burrata, which was tasty! I would give it 4/5. We then got wine flights which I thought were such a great value for the price. You get 3 small sized wine glasses for $15 and get to sample three wines! Definitely recommend this 5/5. As entrees, we shared two entrees - the pesto pasta and the gnocchi which at the time was made with a pork type of sauce. Both were very delicious and we really enjoyed the flavors of both. The consistency of the gnocchi's sauce was a bit interesting, as it was all sort of blended together, but the flavor was very good! Would give them each 4/5. We ended the night with tiramisu - delicious and the presentation was very cute. I haven't had very much tiramisu to compare against, but I'll give it 5/5 as I really enjoyed it! As for service, our waitress was very attentive and nice but note that they can get busy on weekend evenings, so expect a little bit of a wait. Overall, I had a great time and enjoyed the food. My favorite part of the night were the ambiance and the wine flights. I hope to come back again soon!

Super friendly across the board. The vibe is the best part. The outdoor courtyard setup is really cool, especially at night. Just a great atmosphere whether you're grabbing a drink or staying a while. Had the margarita pizza our last night and it was legit--really good. Highly recommend if you're in Fort Lauderdale and want a laid-back spot with great energy.

I visited again for the anniversary party and was shocked how many people were there! It was great to see and the energy was off the charts. They had an anniversary drink special which was nice as well as a ton of pop up bars and electric music from a dj. It felt like an EDM concert but free to attend which I was incredible. The beat was so good that it made everyone dance throughout the boat. I have to say that they definitely know how to run a party. I'm not sure if every Saturday night is that busy or if it was due to the anniversary party but I will have to visit again soon to see. The entire marina village was decorated so nicely and had people throughout so it felt alive. I am so glad this addition in Fort Lauderdale is getting the love it deserves so it can still stay lively and be recommended to all. Can't wait to visit again soon.

Sidecar Speakeasy was the play... The speakeasy entrance was hidden in a hallway you can walk right by without even noticing. I dig it. Once inside, it's dark. Most of the light is coming from the light showcasing the bottles in the bar. The seating is a little tight as they're trying to maximize space for such a small area. We visited here twice during my visit: We sat at a table and a bar. You have the perfect amount of space for your party, but you're pretty close to the next table or bar seat. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there. He was super creative with every cocktail which made for a great time. They stayed upon until midnight one one visit and until 1 am on the other one. Both my visits were on a weekday. The sidecar speakeasy is easily my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale and I have a feeling I'll be back. Enjoy!
