I paid almost 6k for a rebuilt engine, and it came with a 1 year warranty. The GM Engine Rebuilders sent my car back to the Mechanics who use them and the plastic engine covers were not put back on, the air conditioning was disconnected and there was no Freon in it, there was no water in the windshield wiper container. Furthermore, they used a cheap Chinese seal when they connected the crankshaft to the transmission, & as a result, the car was leaking on the day I got it back. After returning my car to L.A. & J Automotive, who farmed my car out to GM, it sat on their lot for over a week before GM took my car back to fix their screw-up & honor the 1 year warranty. L.A. & J had to fix all the issues when my car was first returned ( no AC connected, no plastic engine covers put back, no water in the windshield, & no Freon. GM claimed they did not have room in their shop to immediately take my car back to fix the leak from their faulty seal. This means they did not prioritize my 1 year warranty, and made me wait over 8 days before they finally took the car back from L.A.& J. Worse yet, they refused to admit that it was their use of a non factory seal (from China, no doubt), which caused the leak at the connection of the crankshaft & transmission in the first place. As far as I'm concerned, this is not even a 1 star rated company. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE GM REBUILDERS, BUT I DO 100% RECOMMEND L.A.& J AUTOMOTIVE AS THEY ARE A TOP NOTCH COMPANY. They simply were unlucky to use GM to rebuild my engine.
KUDOS TO DONNIE & OVID AT L.A. & J. AS THEY DID THEIR JOB, BUT THEY WERE UNLUCKY TO CHOOSE GM REBUILDERS WHO TURNED OUT TO BE A LOUSY, HORRIBLE, COMPANY IN MY OPINION. 1 Star for GM. That's all, but I can't seem to get it posted.?? read more
