Perfect Engine in downtown Los Angeles took my engine out, rebored all the cylinders, matched all the pistons, replaced the fans, water pump, thermostat, air and oil filters, and WOW- it's like I've got a new car! Linda, the owner, is gracious and easy to talk to. She knows everything about rebuilding an engine because she's been in the business for 40 years. I was told to bring my car in after 500 miles to change the oil and filter. The mechanic took the time to show me things I needed to watch to make sure my engine would continue to work PERFECTLY. They care and I'm very happy to recommend them.

Fine. That is where the process should have stopped so the truck could be tested and verified. Instead, without properly confirming whether the welding resolved the original issue, they immediately pushed into differential work that I did not come in for. No disciplined diagnostic process. No proof that the first repair fixed anything. Just escalation and a larger invoice. The final bill was roughly 2000 dollars. And the original issue is still there. That is not professional. That is not methodical. That is not how serious shops operate. You fix the stated problem. You test it. You confirm resolution. You do not stack additional services on top of unfinished diagnostics. Two thousand dollars is real money. That is rent. That is a mortgage payment. That is not pocket change to experiment with. And let's address the obvious. The glowing reviews here should be taken with caution. When you look closely, many appear heavily biased, likely friends or family. Real customers with real money on the line deserve real accountability. If you value your time and your money, think carefully before coming here.
