His wife, Helen, is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and she's great about setting (and reminding you about) appointments.

I originally requested a specific appointment day, but they were fully booked, so I asked to be added to the cancellation list. I didn't expect much, but they actually followed through and called me when something opened up -- that small act alone made me feel like they truly care about their patients. As someone who works Monday through Friday, their schedule is a huge plus. They open as early as 7:30 AM, they're even open during my lunch hour at 12 PM, and they offer one Saturday each month, which makes getting care so much easier and less stressful. I have pretty significant dental anxiety, so going to the dentist is never easy for me. From the moment I walked in, though, I felt understood instead of judged. The first visit focused on X-rays and high-tech photos, and everything felt very thorough and thoughtful -- like they genuinely care about the health of your teeth rather than just rushing you through. My hygienist, Angela, was incredibly kind and personable and made me feel comfortable almost immediately. Dr. Shaghasi also took the time to talk with me and reassure me that my fears were completely valid. That meant more to me than I can explain. For the first time in a long time, I'm not afraid to go back to the dentist. I actually feel safe here -- and I'm truly looking forward to continuing my care with this team.

The husband-and-wife doctors are an incredible duo -- both extremely knowledgeable, gentle, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can tell they've built their practice around patient comfort and trust. The staff is just as amazing. Everyone at the front desk is friendly and organized, the hygienists are thorough and kind, and the whole office runs smoothly. They take the time to explain everything, answer questions, and make sure you're comfortable throughout the entire visit. It's rare to find a dental office where the doctors and staff work together so seamlessly while still making every patient feel like a priority. If you're looking for a dental team that is professional, caring, and truly excellent at what they do, this is the place. Highly recommend!

I used to go to Dublin Smiles Dentistry years ago and actually had a good experience back then, so…read morewhen my dental insurance changed recently and they were back in network, I decided to return. Before booking, I specifically called the office and asked whether they accepted my insurance. They told me they did, so I scheduled a cleaning appointment. The appointment itself was completely routine. I had a standard cleaning and X-rays. No cavities, no additional procedures, and no treatment plan beyond basic preventive care. Since my insurance covers cleanings every six months and annual X-rays, I assumed everything was handled correctly. A few weeks later, I received a bill from the office. At first, I honestly thought it had to be a mistake because nothing outside of a normal cleaning had been done. When I called to ask about it, the office initially could not explain why I was being charged and said they needed to research it further. Later, they told me the issue was that their office fees were higher than what my insurance company pays. That would have been important information to disclose before the appointment. The frustrating part is not even the dollar amount. It's the fact that I specifically asked about insurance coverage ahead of time to avoid this exact situation. Telling patients "yes, we take your insurance" without explaining they may still receive a balance bill because your pricing exceeds insurance allowances feels misleading. I spoke with the office manager directly and explained that my concern was the lack of transparency upfront. Unfortunately, the response was basically that no exceptions would be made and payment was still expected regardless of how the expectations were communicated beforehand. That was disappointing because I had previously trusted this office and had good experiences in the past. Unfortunately, after how this situation was handled, I will not be returning. I would strongly encourage anyone considering Dublin Smiles Dentistry to ask detailed questions in advance about out of pocket costs, insurance reimbursement limits, and whether the office charges above insurance allowable amounts, even if they tell you they "accept" your insurance.

The cleanings are through and pain, poke and discomfort free. Never had an issue booking appointments at times that work for me, they're great with reminders. They have taken care of three cavities as well as replacing/repairing an old filling from a former dentist. They have all gone smoothly, with all but the mildest discomfort throughout the procedure. Few can say they enjoy going to the dentist - but I can sure say I don't dread it.

Their billiing is certainly a mess. More than once I receive invoice that owning them treatment fees, after the visit. Amounts around $200 each time. It can come in after the quotes show an out-of-pocket amount that I fully paid upon the day of visit. There are visits that I checked and was informed that insurance should cover 100%, but no an invoice follows up with $200 owing to them. NO apologies or anything that says the initial estimate was in error. They just go 'you have to pay this amount' period. I use their service for more than 10 years. They were excellent initially. As their patient base builds up, I guess they think they are comfortable enough to pick and choose their patients, in the way they manage their admin office and bedside manners. Issue happens once too many times. I am thinking of switching.
