I am deeply disappointed with the service provided by this company and strongly urge any potential clients, especially if you are managing care for elderly family members or have no knowledge of plumbing, to exercise extreme caution.
My mother was the one who initially spoke with the plumber upon his arrival, during which he mentioned a $99 dispatch/service fee. I was unaware of whether any pricing had been agreed upon before his entry. Taking advantage of this lack in communication, the plumber was inside our home for less than 15 minutes in total. The only "service" he rendered was placing a cap on top of an open U-pipe sewer drain. A basic fix that I now know required zero specialized equipment or labor.
For under 15 minutes of work and a single plastic cap, he charged $250 for service, $271.55 with tax.
I questioned him whether $250 was truly the standard cost for simply capping a pipe, he flatly said it was "exactly right." I then asked him if this was a simple task I could have done myself, and he admitted that yes, I could have.
Rather than acting with professional integrity, offering transparent options, or charging a fair rate proportional to the minor task performed, he relied on our lack of plumbing expertise and the breakdown in communication between my mother and me to apply an outrageous upcharge. It is deeply hurtful and disheartening to see a professional prey on a customer's trust and lack of technical knowledge just to pad a bill.
If you are considering hiring this plumber, you need to be extremely vigilant. Get every quote, scope of work, and fee in writing before letting him step inside your home, or you risk being severely overcharged for minutes of basic work. Good luck. read more
