This is my first time ever writing a review online but i felt extremely compelled to share my experience. I had 7 alterations that needed done. One denim pants, two cotton business pants and four shirts. all of hem had to be taken in as I have reduced in size.
After the alterations my pants were extremely tight fitting and two of my tops became TOO SMALL. One of them so small that it's unwearable!!!!!!
We got the measurements all sorted at the shop. I wore everything and he pinned. So, when i took the clothes back to his shop, his argument was that I (and not him!!!) made the mistake during the fitting! How crazy is that?! i've done many many many alterations in my life and this is the first time I've ever had such issue and also been blamed for the tailor's mistake. I couldn't believe it. I didn't even want to ask for my money back... all I could have been happy with, when he so uncaring-ly told me that he couldn't do anything about it (which was a lie!), would have been to admit like a professional that he made the huge mistake with his sizing (he had completely forgotten to take into account that sewing and cutting needs room for adjustment)
Not to mention that his service was not cheap at all. This guy would not take responsibility for his mistake. And i lost two of my brand-new tops without a single word of apology. I told him before i left his shop that he could still apologise to me for the mistake that he very well knew that it was his and I'd be still happy to go back as a customer... but NOPE! he wouldn't budge.
His attitude is terrible. He thinks he's the best tailor in the world, and obviously he is not!! I even had to tell him for one of my tops (which thank god came out OK from underneath his hands) that he was taking too much in!!!! he argued with me initially but after the alteration he accepted that I was right.
So, in a nutshell, save yourselves the heartache and the disappointment and go somewhere else... there are many great tailors around in the area. This guy needs to retire. read more
