WALK IN." (Seriously. Even doctors offices can look at their Scheduling Book & say yes or no, we do/don't have available appointments open, how about this date & time?) The last Rep said "come in 10:00am & see Andrew & Jamal" so here we are, but apparently that's her best guestimate & not a good one either. They can't get to our car for 2.5 hrs, meanwhile we have no other personal days left to lose playing wack a mole on having our car seen, we just waited there & had to approach the desk people of how much longer it will be. We arrived at the time they told us, ended up being the last customers to leave from a filled waiting room of customers. Bottom line: We just wanted a set appointment. How hard can it be to do that for customers that bought 2 new cars & paid $70K+? Even the nail salon can look at their schedule & say "Yes, in 2 weeks on Saturday 11am we can book you."

(4) appoints in a row with the $100k vehicle; (1) Drivers door creased the entire length of the botton. (2) Inspection and tire rotation/alignment. Alignment had been locked out of it enough to bend an upper control arm, tie Rod and junk a spindle (none of which had I replaced as of that point; assuming if they were aware of the situation I'd be more than happy to have them take care of it. i was told all good no issue, straight as can be on the digital printout... double checked the run down on the work order i requested and all in 2-3 day time line they actually called me for once to have completed and ready to go for once. needless to say the broken tail light lens cover was the least of my focus. Tires never even came off prior to "alignment" of which couldn't be adjusted sitting on the rack. good thing it was spot on. (3) once I "failed" emissions as per the next routine inspection visit with no real problem or explanation; I should have know/seen enough. however a little odometer and half a tank or fuel "they needed to put miles on to reset" the computer wasnt enough; a technican took my vehicle home and again used to pickup pizzas for the whole shop for lunch that day as well. never did see what emissions issues all of a sudden went away (I forgot to return stock factory settings tune back in the vehicle from my laptop before inspection). more miles won't change that but glad i could sponsor the pizza party. (4) best trip yet. routine service. another set of tires and requested my take offs which was against protoco/unheard of/so foolis for that/another comment or two about my take off oil filters and oil too justified my sure "transmission flush"and filter" cost me an entire transmission rebuikd. ran flawless and recalls of any kind handled. never had any issues until five mikes after that trip. for good measure I told them I forgot I had wanted new cv axles too and brought it. back shortly after. the transmission issue was at that point; predictable and repeatable in a sequence you could set your watch by. reset settings and back normal for 9-10 mikes deoending on shifting to reach temperatur. i took it back all good without a code light or word. axles surprise surprise couldn't get done now for a week I just said that's fine I will take it for now and needed it for the weekend. as you can imagine the cover their ass required for another 82 miles. i was spoken to and yelled at, cussed at and told to go elsewhere with my business before the offfice managlent hung up. $1000 and a day later; the boys at Croteaus transmission service from diagnosi/estimate/turnaround time/ to price point and customer service completely exceeded even my best expectation. and don't be fooled by the $10 off mail discounts youll get after service as a thank you and mailed again once or twice as a good persuasive customer service scam. Only get to use one $10 coupon per month. not per vehicle service, per invoice , or even per second new set of tires-free balance and rotation with purchase.. as long as you do it yourself . Conclusion : Pete and the boys should for ahead and throw a pizza party for the mechanis and shop management at Croteaus and thank them for the job they did for one customer that instead of handling things legally or otherwise; you won't have to worry about restitution and as per your professional advice; to take my business elsewhere won't be a problem. This place is the reason there are stereotypes about car salesmen. Before we even put the car in…read morepark there was someone standing at the window ready to begin plugging how good of a deal he could get us. Right away we were bombarded with questions and it was relentless. You could tell he was on commission. After an uncomfortable amount of time listening to him talk we were directed to the financing guy who seemed even shadier. He was very cocky about how he could get everyone approved for a loan. We came looking for a specific SUV that was well in our budget but he kept giving the finance companies info on a totally different car that we absolutely didn't want but was of course about $4000 more. Needless to say we were not approved and then just cut loose without so much as a thank you for coming. The service department is just as bad. I had an appointment for an oil change but my car didn't go in until an hour and a half later. Why bother having appointments? After my appointment I opened the hood to put washer fluid in since they couldn't bother to top off fluids and I noticed my oil cap was missing. I went back and spoke with the service manager who confronted the mechanic. The mechanic argued that he put the cap on and got visibly annoyed with me. The service manager was nice enough to get me a new oil cap and came out with me to put it on. We discovered the old one lodged in the hood liner above the dent in my PCM it made from him shutting the hood on it. Aside from that one service manager, nobody in that place knows how to listen. I will never set foot on that lot again.

Their webpage was up to date and spot on with the photos, descriptions and the asking prices were the same as the prices given in person. The best part of it was their site was up to date with their stock, a big problem for most of the car dealers I have dealt with over the years. Richard (son of Carlo, who I also met briefly) was very thorough in his presentation of the car, both in it's history, all the work they did to it to ready it for sale (he showed me the invoices!) I am a licensed auto appraiser, and as an occupational hazard I pick out flaws in any cars fit and finish. Richard was telling them to me even before I pointed them out. I've never had a dealer be so honest and up front about a vehicle they were trying to sell. He allowed my wife and I to take a lengthy test drive...by ourselves...so we could put the car through it's paces. He even recommended a place we could each lunch, as we were not from the area. I am an educated buyer, I knew exactly what I wanted and what a fair price would be. The actual negotiation was easy, I made a fair offer and he accepted it. No BS, no tricks, nothing other than "that's fair, I can do that" I've bought a ton of cars in my life, both new and used. This was by far the best purchase experience that I have ever had. I've had the car for just about a month now, had zero issues with it and I could not be happier with the experience. The next time I go shopping, they will be first on my list.
