    G&C Auto Body recently completed a front bumper and hood repair for me for my Tesla Model 3 and I have to say the experience was amazing! Jason and Jay had great communication throughout the process and gave me updates on Tuesday and Thursday! As a repair shop communication is always key and Jason made sure that I was taken care of and shed eye on what a family business is. Jason also was very professional and nice when picking up the car as well. The work the team did to my Tesla was amazing and they actually gave my car back to me in better condition than what it was left in , in regard to cleaning the car. I highly recommended G&C Auto Body in Fairfield because you are treated like family and they want the repair to be perfect. I think I found my go to spot for all and any auto body repairs. Thank you!!

    UPDATE: WHY DO I HAVE TO SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCE OF YOUR MISTAKE???? I am very disappointed with their customer service. I brought my car here on March 11, 2024 because this is the only tesla approved auto shop in Fairfield. Prior to this, I came to the shop to get the estimate done so I can forward it to the insurance company of the guy who rear ended me. After they got all the parts, they told me that I can drop off my car to get things started. I asked how long it will take for the repairs to be done and the guy on the other end said that it will be done in one week (which is March 19,2024). I was greatly satisfied with that answer so I decided to go with it and drop my car off. One or two days later, I received a call that there were some additional issues with the car and that they had ordered the parts to get them fixed. This means that the estimate that they had given me before will change to reflect the amount of the additional repairs. I asked the technician how that will affect the estimated time of repair, and he said that it will still be done by Tuesday. I followed up with the dreaded question about the additional cost. The technician said that they will send the invoice to the insurance company and that they will either send me or the shop the money. I gave my authorization to continue with the repair since it will not affect me in any way. Fast forward to Tuesday, March 19, 2024, I called the shop to get an update regarding my car. Eric said that the repairs would've been done by 4pm. I told Eric that I will not be able to pick it up that day due to prior commitments. They offered to deliver my car at home but I refused and said that I will just get it on Thursday since I still have to return the rental to Enterprise which is right next to their shop. It's now Thursdays!!! I called the shop and asked if I can pick up my car. They said yes since it's been done since Tuesday. I received a confirmation email that the insurance already deposited the additional money for the additional repairs to my bank account, so I asked if I can pay the original estimate and come back on Monday to pay the additional amount. After that call, I received a text message saying that the total cost is almost $1000 more than what they told me when they called me the week before. I called them and asked about it and they said that there were some additional costs due to some glass swap and that they just sent the new invoice to the insurance. I asked them why just now, and if I can still get my car today. I was told that I can only get my car unless I pay the full amount which I didn't know about until today. I talked to their manager (i think his name is Jay) if I can pay the original estimated amount since that's the money I have from the insurance company and then follow up with the remainder since I didn't know the new total amount is much higher than the original estimated price. I even tried to explain to him that I can't work my part time job because I am using a rental and that I am spending so much money on gas because of the amount of commute I do for work and other things. In the end, I was told that I can only get my car if I pay the full amount. I don't know how long it will take the insurance to get the money to my account, but that only means I have to keep paying gas and can't work my part time. THIS IS ALL BECAUSE THEY MADE A MISTAKE AND DID NOT PROCESS THE INVOICE ON TIME!!!! Why do I have to suffer the consequence of their mistake? The repairs were done and I even told them I have the money for the original estimated cost, and that I am willing to come back to pay the rest once I get the money from the insurance. Now I will have to keep driving the rental, pay gas, and keep calling the insurance to expedite the money. If I don't have to pay at least $60 on gas every two days, I would not be complaining. Now I have to keep doing this until I get the money from the insurance when I could be driving my car and not pay gas at all.

    Lower valance

    This place was recommended through my insurance. Extremely disappointed with the work here. They replaced and painted the hood. It was completely dull. I think Maaco would have done better. Additionally, since they were doing front end repair I asked them to paint the lower valance at my expense since they were already tackling the front. See photo. This is what it looked like after an about 2 months. Keep in mind I paid out of my own pocket for this. I don't understand how this place is in business. You've been warned.

    do not bring your car here!!! they will cause more damage to your vehicle and will deny the damages!! they will give your car back dirty and full of white dust.. phil the manager will not help you, he will deny any damages that happens while they have your car. go somewhere else. they say they are tesla certified?? they cant even put my rear bumper right!!

    For years I always used G & C auto body in Fairfield Ca,94533 Solan county they are honest professionals restores everything to factory due to vandalism if repairable in a timely manner always clean environment I will not go to anyone else unless they go out of business!!!

    Damaged Windshield

    We were sent to this auto shop by another driver's insurance and received the car back with new damage to the interior of the windshield. We tried to take the car back for help resolving this and were met by a very defensive and dismissive manager who wouldn't even let us speak to the technicians that handled the car. He dismissed the damage as a "dealer" sticker and asked if we bought it new, which makes no sense on a 10 year old Tesla that's never been through a dealer. They refused to help whatsoever, kept making excuses, so we took them to small claims and were awarded damages by the judge.

While there is never really a positive aspect of needing to get collision work done and worrying about how bad it could look afterwards, the reason I went out of my way to drive an hour to Fairfield was because he did similar excellent work on my 2007 Corvette over 14 years ago. As soon as it happened this time (idiot teenage son of my neighbor backed into the car and was about to drive away) I immediately told the insurance company that George was the only person I wanted working on it. After calling to tell him about the accident, he said he was backed up at the moment but would be able to squeeze me in since I was a repeat customer. He also surprised me by remembering the exact details of my Corvette from all those years ago. He got the repair done very promptly and sent me progress pictures along the way so I could see how it was coming along. I was also kept in the loop with regards to him communicating to both the appraisal and insurance companies. The driver's door was what got damaged and although it would have been quicker for him to probably order a new door, he took the time to fix it knowing the car would hold its value better with all the original parts. He also managed to limit the amount of painting that was required to just the fender and half of the door by blending it. I was skeptical at first about having blended paintwork but as you can see from the pictures you can't tell the difference. Additionally, he made sure that both the color and texture of the replacement paint matched the factory paint which is something I don't believe most shops care about or even know how to do. The car hadn't been waxed or polished in some time so I was worried about getting it back with only a couple panels that were shiny and the rest, not so much. No problem thanks to George as he gave me a great deal on detailing and polishing the entire car so the whole thing looks as good as shown in the pictures. Hopefully I won't need his services again anytime soon, but I would absolutely go back again as I would highly recommend him.
