UPDATE: WHY DO I HAVE TO SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCE OF YOUR MISTAKE???? I am very disappointed with their customer service. I brought my car here on March 11, 2024 because this is the only tesla approved auto shop in Fairfield. Prior to this, I came to the shop to get the estimate done so I can forward it to the insurance company of the guy who rear ended me. After they got all the parts, they told me that I can drop off my car to get things started. I asked how long it will take for the repairs to be done and the guy on the other end said that it will be done in one week (which is March 19,2024). I was greatly satisfied with that answer so I decided to go with it and drop my car off. One or two days later, I received a call that there were some additional issues with the car and that they had ordered the parts to get them fixed. This means that the estimate that they had given me before will change to reflect the amount of the additional repairs. I asked the technician how that will affect the estimated time of repair, and he said that it will still be done by Tuesday. I followed up with the dreaded question about the additional cost. The technician said that they will send the invoice to the insurance company and that they will either send me or the shop the money. I gave my authorization to continue with the repair since it will not affect me in any way. Fast forward to Tuesday, March 19, 2024, I called the shop to get an update regarding my car. Eric said that the repairs would've been done by 4pm. I told Eric that I will not be able to pick it up that day due to prior commitments. They offered to deliver my car at home but I refused and said that I will just get it on Thursday since I still have to return the rental to Enterprise which is right next to their shop. It's now Thursdays!!! I called the shop and asked if I can pick up my car. They said yes since it's been done since Tuesday. I received a confirmation email that the insurance already deposited the additional money for the additional repairs to my bank account, so I asked if I can pay the original estimate and come back on Monday to pay the additional amount. After that call, I received a text message saying that the total cost is almost $1000 more than what they told me when they called me the week before. I called them and asked about it and they said that there were some additional costs due to some glass swap and that they just sent the new invoice to the insurance. I asked them why just now, and if I can still get my car today. I was told that I can only get my car unless I pay the full amount which I didn't know about until today. I talked to their manager (i think his name is Jay) if I can pay the original estimated amount since that's the money I have from the insurance company and then follow up with the remainder since I didn't know the new total amount is much higher than the original estimated price. I even tried to explain to him that I can't work my part time job because I am using a rental and that I am spending so much money on gas because of the amount of commute I do for work and other things. In the end, I was told that I can only get my car if I pay the full amount. I don't know how long it will take the insurance to get the money to my account, but that only means I have to keep paying gas and can't work my part time. THIS IS ALL BECAUSE THEY MADE A MISTAKE AND DID NOT PROCESS THE INVOICE ON TIME!!!! Why do I have to suffer the consequence of their mistake? The repairs were done and I even told them I have the money for the original estimated cost, and that I am willing to come back to pay the rest once I get the money from the insurance. Now I will have to keep driving the rental, pay gas, and keep calling the insurance to expedite the money. If I don't have to pay at least $60 on gas every two days, I would not be complaining. Now I have to keep doing this until I get the money from the insurance when I could be driving my car and not pay gas at all. read more

This place was recommended through my insurance. Extremely disappointed with the work here. They replaced and painted the hood. It was completely dull. I think Maaco would have done better. Additionally, since they were doing front end repair I asked them to paint the lower valance at my expense since they were already tackling the front. See photo. Stated that it is fixable and he stated that "HE WOULD LOVE" to fix my vehicle! OF COURSE you do! Because it is more than $20,000 to $30,000 on his books! I got a second opinion since I have a feeling that his final estimate is not accurate or FAR from accurate. Brought it to another body shop of my choice and immediately after just eyeballing the damage they deemed it totaled! I learned that G&C does not care about the safety of myself and my family! What if I got in an accident, Since the Structure of the vehicle is compromised I wonder what would happened. I would not recommend taking your car to G and C Auto Body I took my wife's 2024 Genesis GV70 to G and C auto body to repair a dent on the drivers side front and rear door. I had work done no my daughters 2013 Kia Rio and the work was great, so I thought we were in good hands. Everything was going good they said they would have the car back to us as soon as parts had come in. They called at the end of the week and said the car would be ready the next week the guy we were dealing with was very good maybe a little to over zealous to deliver good news but very nice and courteous. The problems started when they broke the window while re-installing it, this caused us the meet the GM. The GM decided to start explaining how technical the new cars are, when I politely asked him to stop trying to let him know I've done work on cars most of my life continued trying to explain this to me, then I told him in a loud voice stop. We checked out the car window broke just about done, we said ok so this means you should provide a rental for us in which the GM responded I cant authorize that and told my wife he would check on it and call my wife on Monday. My Wife never received a call from the GM. A couple of weeks later we were called to pick up her car, there was pits in the paint from the clear coat bubbling and popping and swirl marks from them poorly buffing the car. They said the would fix the problems, so we left the car there again for repairs. We received a call again that my wife's car was ready, guess what most of the pits in the paint was gone but there was still swirl mark and scratches from them buffing the clear coat. They wanted me to take the car and bring it back in 2 weeks, I suggested since my car was not finished the I pay them half and they would get the other half of the payment when the car was finished. our nice sale manager said he would have to check with the GM who came out said we cant do that and then started explaining to me how much money he spent trying to get the car done correctly, in which I responded do it right the first time and we would not be here having this conversation. He told me he can only accept full payment or he needed to keep the car, I told him to keep the car. After 6 weeks we have finally gotten my wife car back, and we were not happy with the service received, more so from the GM. The service manager tried to be upbeat and give hopeful timeline, which in the end he had no control over, I would suggest to him to keep it this week of next week on each update and if its earlier the costumer will be happy. The GM was bad and the tech that did the paint and clear should not rush no matter who's trying to push the jobs forward. read more

We were sent to this auto shop by another driver's insurance and received the car back with new damage to the interior of the windshield. We tried to take the car back for help resolving this and were met by a very defensive and dismissive manager who wouldn't even let us speak to the technicians that handled the car. He dismissed the damage as a "dealer" sticker and asked if we bought it new, which makes no sense on a 10 year old Tesla that's never been through a dealer. They refused to help whatsoever, kept making excuses, so we took them to small claims and were awarded damages by the judge. read more

Over all my experience was not the best. They gave me my car back very dirty, and the color they painted the side of my car that needed repair was too glittery compared to my cars original paint. Although they did have the best attitude in trying to fix the problem once I picked it up the second time, the car was still not to my liking and the amount of polish all over my car that they didn't take off was a good amount. I just washed my car for the first time after it got repaired and the bumps they left under the paint are now white ( meaning the paint came off in those areas). read more

Zero starts if possible. Your entire team dropped the ball, other than your receptionist who is very kind and helpful. This is a recommended bodyshop by GEICO. How much did you bribe Warren Buffet to get on their list? I went here 2 years ago and had a good experience. My oh my, this place crashed and burned in the past 2 years. I stopped in 1/5/2022 to get my vehicle inspected. I was told the bumper would take up to 2 months to come in which seemed odd since that wasn't a super complicated part but whatever. The employee Matt insisted that I do not bother calling in to check the status of my part due to global supply chain issues, he 100% will call me once it gets in so the repair happens asap. I leave with my car and wait for a call to fix the broken bumper and one missing piece.. I wait 1 month and no communication. 2 months...that's a long time. I call the 2nd week of March to ask where my bumper is. I'm told by Matt "Oh yeah we got your part in January, A FEW WEEKS after you stopped by but I can't find your bumper...I'll look for it and call you back." So I've been driving around with a cracked bumper for 1 1/2 months for now reason? Waited for a call back that afternoon, the next day, and the day after that and was never called. So I called back respectful and frustrated and Matt was too scared to talk to me so he told the receptionist (who is amazing and incredibly kind) to scheduled me for a repair. I drop the car off March 17 and was told it'd be ready by Wednesday and to expect a call. No call and it's Tuesday so I call. I'm told it'll be ready Wednesday, latest Thursday. I call Wednesday and am told it'll be ready Thursday. I call Thursday and am told it'll be ready Friday at 5pm latest. C'mon guys. Get your stuff together. On Friday I get there at 5pm and car isn't ready until almost 6pm. I complained to my GEICO adjuster who said they've received multiple complaints about this body shop for horrible service and I filed a formal complaint about my experience. The adjuster offered to stop my check and personally remove my vehicle from this bodyshop to another one but I told him the work was done and knowing I had to hand G&C $500 for my deductible sucked because they gave me such awful service, I'd rather burn my money than hand it to them. The bodyshop knew I had a terrible experience and still had the nerve to text me asking for 10/10 review and if I didn't have a good experience, to call. I called the bodyshop to explain my experience and give feedback so I wouldn't have to write a long review and we could just talk about how I feel like they wasted my time and I still had to pay them for a terrible experience. The nice receptionist picked up and asked why I wouldn't give a 10, I explained what happened and she apologized profusely about what happened and put me on hold. She told me she spoke with a manager who will call me back this afternoon. That was Monday, today it is Saturday. I never got a call back. Other than the receptionist, this place is awful. Capitalism runs this great country. Your dollar is your vote. Give your dollar to another bodyshop that will have enough respect for your thousands of dollars to treat you like a human being. read more

Terrible experience! I only went here because i have triple A and they told me if i use their "in-network" shops then i will be covered by triple A for a lifetime on any electrical components they replace. I said sounds like a good deal so why not. I dropped off my vehicle but when i picked it back up the color was slightly off. They told me that it was the best they can do as they used factory paint. (My vehicle is 2018 so its not faded. Maybe they used too many coats?) Not satisfied but if thats the best they say they can do, not much i can say. Well i get into the vehicle and wow. They have the inner fender liner and mudflaps (its an outback so it comes stock) on the passenger side floor along with screws. I notify them and they said "oh sorry we forgot to put these back". Well i tell them why wouldnt you check the inside and outside of the vehicle to make sure that its put together properly? They said sorry they will talk to their technician. Not a satisfactory answer as i have always seen other shops not only double check but they have someone else to go over the vehicle 1 more time to make sure its done correct. I go over the vehicle 1 more time because i am no longer confident in their abilities. What do you know? There are new scratches!!!!! I am glad i took photos at their parking lot when i dropped it off. They denied allegations so i called triple A and presented my evidence. Then they acknowledged wrong doing as i have proof. They fix it for free and it looks better than the other paint job they just did. (Makes me think they used the wrong amount of coats). I just want to be done with them so i dont even bother complaining about previous paint to triple A because i dont want them touching my car again. Update: Geico got involved with my complaint with G and C Auto Body, the west coast manager from Geico had me meet him at the shop and he stated he also thought the work was sloppy. He had them strip and repaint the car. They gave me a rental car and my car was in the shop another 3 weeks. Because of the Geico manager - insisting they remove my windshield to paint the pillars - I ended up with a new windshield too because mine broke when they removed it After my car was done they sent it to get detailed all the way down to getting the engine cleaned. Brought my car to fix front bumper. Week after I came to pick it up. They painted it in wrong color. And the bottom had already new scratches on top of new paint and small scratches on the bumper itself. Left the car again. They said one day will enough to repaint it, which is very interesting. Came to pick up my car again, just saw that the grille above the bumper is broken, they never replaced it but they order it and it was in my estimate cost list. They forgot to instal it. Left the car again. Came back to pick up my car - the radar sensor shows mistake, it was disconnected after the grille above the bumper replacement. Horrible service. Unprofessional! This is my second G and C and it was the same story with another one. Looks like all G and C have bad service. And then I found up that this G and C has bad reputation. Right from the start, the staff were friendly, personable and professional unlike another auto body shop I took my 2001 Honda Civic to, to see if they will accept the estimate that my insurance provided. I am so happy that they were able to replace the front bumper, grille, headlight and have the fender back to its normal shape and even matched the weird "Inca Pearl" color of my car by their estimated time of completion. It's been a week or so since I got my car back. Overall, the repairs were complete, and the car seems to be running fine. However, the process of getting the car repaired was a nightmare. When I dropped my car off, was told that repairs would be done in 4 days. My car was not ready until 17 days later. The repair people did not follow guidelines for the needed repair, tried to use inappropriate parts, and had to redo work with correct parts. I was told on three different occasions when my car would be ready for pick-up, just to be notified that they would need more time. The receptionist, who seemed very nice at the beginning, became quite snippy after my repeated calls and increasing frustration. When the car was finally ready for me to pick up, I was not called. I actually went down to the shop to see what was happening, and I saw my vehicle sitting there with repairs apparently completed. One area of repair included the wheel rim which was badly scrapped by the other vehicle. I looked at the wheel rim where the damage occurred and was amazed at how good it looked. I commented on it's appearance to the advisor. He looked at the rim, but said nothing. I then walked around the car and realized that they had switched the affected rim to the other side of the car. They did good job cleaning it up and it looked pretty good, but what irritated me was that the advisor was either not aware of the switch, or did not mention it when I made my comment. I felt like someone was trying to "pull the wool over my eyes". What really upset me was their explanation as to why it took so long to complete the repair. They indicated that my car came in for repair just as the requirements for repair of my type of vehicle had drastically changed. This made no sense and was quite unbelievable. Normally, when such changes occur, notices are sent out in advance to alert service providers to the upcoming changes. So, G & C Auto Body either failed to take notice of changes in auto industry changes, or lied to me about the change in requirements to cover up their poor service. Either way, I won't be back to this shop again. read more

This was my very first experience with G&C. From my first call to G&C to when I left with my car was Excellent Service! The gal at the front was very friendly and had great customer service. Then Robert took over and also provided excellent service. He called to keep me informed with the status of my car repair and when it was ready. I just picked up my car and I'm very pleased by the work. Truck looks brand new. I see some recent bad reviews but my experience was nothing less then solid,honest and professional. Matt was my main contact and I really appreciated his responsiveness and honesty regarding the length on getting parts. This day ppl need to be a little more patient because everything is taking longer to get. He was upfront and I really appreciated that. The other staff was great as well. No matter how angry a customer is at their lack of quality work it does not justify the crappy work that was done PRIOR to them getting upset. If someone punches you in the face and you yell and scream at them for hitting you, is the person who punched you now not wrong for assaulting you because you got upset at their action of assault?!?!?!? This shop has it TWISTED! They are not magically off the hook for a customer getting loud and a customer getting loud didn't magically make someone go back in time to do the screw ups that led the customer to being mad in the first place!!!!!! UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE! Since the below review I have since returned and the staff was absolutely HORRIBLE! Not only did they try to BS a BS'er and try to convince me to accept their crappy work they also jerked me around for over an hour! After I pointed out that the truck STILL WASNT FIXED CORRECTLY, the staff member named Prit AGREED with me, took possession of the vehicle again and promised me a car rental so I can make my baby's first ultra sound where I would hear the heart beat for the first time. Had my vehicle been ready I would have made my appointment, had they gotten me a rental like they promised I would have made my appointment! HOWEVER, they left me sitting there for an hour and then tried jerking me around. They then told me they would not provide me a rental, after an hour! Plus the truck wasn't out and done so I was stuck! I have multiple emails, texts, pictures, videos and more documenting many things such as their threats to leave my truck parked outside un-supervised all night in a bad area, etc and MORE! ******Below is just my FIRST experience not including the above AND more!***************** It is my goal to recapitalize my visit to the G&C shop so there is no confusion. I am extremely frustrated that I missed hours of work, dragged family members away from plans as well as rearranged family plans/child care around picking up a vehicle G&C claimed was ready. This situation has cost money, time, special asks with work and favors from family. It is extremely concerning that my vehicle could so obviously be NOT ready and horribly done but yet G&C attempted to deliver it to me this way claiming it was complete! There is clearly still damage on the rear passenger side where a larger dent use to be. It did not take a magnified glass or special angles to see it! It is so blatantly obvious that if I were to walk out of a store and notice the existing dent that I would actually FILE A CLAIM for the dent that is still existing after G&C "completed" their work! In addition, the top of the driver's side truck bed which was damaged is still obviously bent down. It is contorted enough to result in the plastic liner not sitting true against the truck. In no way does this truck bed look like it came off a showroom floor, which is how it looked prior to the vandalism. The G&C shop has done a piss poor job so far and I am extremely concerned with how this will be handled moving forward. To level set expectations moving forward, below are bullet points which I expect to be fully met by G&C prior to me wasting another day and losing more pay coming going to their location for novice work I expect to be reimbursed for missed work hours All dents, chips and dings are to be removed Paint is to be blended PERFECTLY (no color sanding/buffing marks) with the rest of the vehicle The driver's side top truck bed is to be completely straight, true and fixed to a showroom floor/new vehicle standard (as it was before vandalism) The top bedliner/plastics are to sit completely flush per factory/brand new Truck bed should be 100% symmetrical from one side to the other There should be no gaps, lifts, off squared/not aligned areas between the painted truck bed and Berliner pieces, everything should fit FLUSH! It is not my concern if this is difficult or hard, in fact if G&C cannot sure-up/fix the bent metal truck bed/frame I would recommend they work with Geico to replace the entire truck bed. I WILL NOT settle for good enough, the truck is BRAND NEW with dealer plates! I have before pictures of the damage as well as the sorry excuse for a fix these guys attempted to pass off as complete. I was referred to this body shop through my insurance company. Needed to repair damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. Service received was GREAT! They were quick and very good at communicating the status of my repairs. I dropped the car off on a Monday and picked it up on Friday. The rental car agent met me at the shop and I was able to leave the rental there when retrieving my vehicle. The shop took care of the return. Talk about convenience! I worked with Matt and he made the experience that much better. Even stayed late so I could pick up 15 mins after closing. I would absolutely recommend their services. read more

This is by far the worst experience I ever had, NO customer service should be their MOTTO. It took eight working days to replace a broken side view mirror, when I finally was told the car was ready , I go there and the computer is down, they had someone fax a copy of the work order, then their credit card machine went down, I paid my part cash which two persons counted four times, I will never go back read more
