Reseña de un americano con estómago mexicano:l (Review from an American with a Mexican stomach). In short summary for people that do not speak or write in Spanish this is a wonderful, world class restaurant. Most gringos who come down for a few days of real food want to go to pujol to experience high end Mexican food. I would strongly recommend trying this restaurant out. Simply the best short rib I have tried in my life. Perfectly braised in ancho chile and inspired me to spend an entire day boiling and puréing ancho Chile sauce to try to replicate at home. They have an extensive menu, but I ended up trying their tasting menu which seemed to offer the best of their menu, including some incredible risotto (with avocado) and halibut. Would love for this restaurant to open up in LA. It would probably be the best Mexican restaurant in Southern California.

Chayote with red bean vinaigrette (best dish I've ever had)

11/10 one of the best meals I've ever had in life. DONT SKIP THIS PLACE. Service was outstanding (THANK YOU SEBASTIAN, MARIO E GRACIE!!!). The ambiance immaculate. The design of the restaurant is truly memorable in itself. However the food is on another level everything being homemade and fresh and extremely creative. I've been cursed with the cilantro soap gene as it's hard to accommodate that preference but Folico catered to that and made this tasting experience 10X more enjoyable. Every dish was a 10/10 if not more. THANK YOU FOLICO will see you soon!

Classy and clubby, this chic and happening restaurant in Roma Norte is a busy spot with incredible food and drinks. We came with a friend and shared several dishes: ceviches, tostadas, street corn, guacamole and a few other things (see photos.) Food was delicious, very creative, well plated and cohesive. The atmosphere is vibrant and busy, and service was a little on a slow side, but that kind of works for the more relaxed clubby setting in Mexico City. Tips: Reservation is a good idea. Great for sharing. Clubby, great drinks.

Love this restaurant! Amazing food and cocktails.. not much of a wine list (but that doesn't bother me). Service was great. Restaurant is located on the ground floor, and upstairs they have a DJ and a bar - however I think it's a different owner. This restaurant is across the street from a department store. But not much else is walkable.

Seafood Pazole

So far my favorite restaurant in Mexico City. Every dish was fantastically created, from beautiful presentations to delicious flavors. We started with cocktails, the Margarita Negra, and Amargo Mule, both delicious. We had the catch of the day ceviche with smoked tomatoes and seared avocado; King Kampachi from Baja California, black zapote vinaigrette, acitrón, tangerine and lychee; Seasonal risotto with green fava beans and local mushrooms (amazing flavors); and Green seafood pozole, chocolata clam, mussles, shrump, lime leaf and romanesco (also amazing flavors!). The decor and ambiance is dark but textured which made the experience comfortable and romantic, along with large windows and an iron spiral staircase. I look forward to returning.

Service wasn't the greatest but OMG THE FOODDDD. AND DRINKS! Margarita Negro lived up to the hype. Highly recommend. Also, loved the Agua Chile and Ceviche. burger was delicious. And my all time fav was the cheese fondue with mushroom!!!!

The place is super cool and the food was beyond. You must try the ceviche one of my favorite dishes. The queso was soooooooooo good was well another one you must try. The black margarita lives up to its hype very good and strong. The restaurant decor is beautiful and the man's bathroom is the most beautiful bathroom I have seen in a long time.

Holy smokes. This restaurant is phenomenal. Came here after a long four hour flight after dropping our bags and had an amazing meal, extremely attentive service, clean and comfortable environment, and some guac that I'll never forget. Try the short rib if you're hungry, it won't disappoint you. Oh, and the Don Margarito cocktail!

This place... the atmosphere is amazing so fancy.

Wow wow wow! The food was amazing! If you are lucky enough to have Luis F make your drinks you are in for a treat! We had him make what ever he wanted and of the 6 drinks he made for us everyone of them was the best! The food was so so good. We started out with chips and dip. The queso so good. The corn and crab appetizer was so good I couldn't stop eating. We had oysters and the Sea bass. Finished off with churros and Tres Leche. The kind of dinning experience that you long to recreate and each place you go to disappoints after.

We then kicked things off with the arancini, which set the tone right away--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly done. For mains, we shared a spread and honestly couldn't pick a favorite: the Octopus Tacos were tender and packed with flavor, the Rabbit Tacos were unique and delicious, and the roasted seasonal vegetables "al mojo de ajo" were simple but so satisfying. The marinated pan-fried salmon and fresh trout were both beautifully cooked and thoughtfully seasoned. Every dish felt intentional, beautifully presented and well executed. But the real showstoppers were the desserts. The fresh goat cheesecake with orange, grapefruit, and lemon was bright and perfectly balanced, and the whisky chocolate crème brûlée was rich, smooth, and unforgettable. Desserts truly knocked it out of the park. Bonus points for the cocktails--my hubby was a huge fan. Great food, great drinks, excellent service and relaxed ambiance made for a wonderful overall experience. Highly recommend adding Temporal to your Mexico City dining list.

Even though they have…read moreseveral locations across CDMX, we stumbled upon one just a short walk from our hotel--and the fact that they were open on Christmas Day already earned bonus points. What really says it all? We loved it so much, we went back the very next day. This was the only restaurant we repeated during our week-long stay, which should tell you everything. The menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated--fresh, flavorful, and something for everyone. We tried the croissant sandwich, salmon deli nut sandwich, chutney mango deli sandwich, santos ahogados, fig chipotle deli sandwich, pear honey deli sandwich, and the spicy tuna deli sandwich. The sandwiches came with a standard simple salad. Every single item was delicious, well-balanced, and satisfying in that "clean but filling" way. The tables had two delicious spicy chili oil like condiments which elevated each of these dishes. And the juices--WOW. So refreshing, vibrant, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The perfect complement to the food and ideal for starting (or resetting) your day. If you're visiting Mexico City, Ojo de Agua is an absolute must. With such a wide menu, you're guaranteed to find something you'll love--and very likely come back for more. Highly recommend!

We tried a few juices, the chicken tomato salad and the salmon tacos. The salad was huge with a big portion of chicken, avocado and many toppings for a reasonable price. The tacos were smaller but flavorful. Taking off a star because my salad arrived almost 15 minutes before my boyfriend's tacos arrived and the restaurant was pretty empty. The lights were out in the bathroom and in part of the restaurant, so not sure if they were dealing with a partial power outage and impact to the kitchen. Still recommend for the food!

Full disclaimer: these are my first tacos in Mexico City. The trumpo was really good!! Highly recommend! The res was good too, but not super standout. The potatoes were good! It seemed smashed then fried. Can't go wrong with frying potatoes. Food came out fast! It seems like this place can get super packed and busy, which I would think is a good sign!

I was perusing Yelp trying to find a good Tres Leches, through my research I landed on this spot. This is a large restaurant, plus it was after 10pm when we arrived (they close really late), so we were sat and greeted pretty immediately. We ordered a chicken taco, steak taco, al pastor and a couple more, all the tacos we got were quite good and flavorful. The style of tacos was different than what we're used to as it was literally flat pieces of piled up meat on a tortilla with nothing else. The Tres Leches was just okay to me, there was something in it I didn't like, but my brother enjoyed it. Service was great! Very attentive, fast and friendly. Here's the issue...I got food poisoning as a result of something I ate here. With that said, I could not give this spot more than three stars, however like I said the food and service were two thumbs up, but getting sick was equally two thumbs down.
