The staff was extremely courteous, and helpful. There was a good selection of frames to choose from. They booked me same day, and within a few hours of calling I was in there for an exam! Dr. Merchand was extremely professional and put me at ease throughout my entire time in the office. He was very knowledgable, and explained everything to me step by step. I left there feeling thoroughly satisfied and informed about all of the options available to me. Overall, it was an excellent experience!

I scheduled an exam to get contacts last winter/spring, 2025.They seem to have lots of equipment and tests.... more than I have ever been given... I'm 51, I started wearing glasses when I was 3. Upon all the tests Great Lakes Optometry put me through, it was determined i needed flushes and lubricating methods and presription drops. I followed the regiment to see no improvement . 9 months later my hormone replacement therapy precription was changed with a different doctor and everything improved. When I filled out the paper work here I answered several questions about my health history. They used this info to try and upsell me on tests that rendered no improvement. Then my trial contacts took 6 weeks to come in. I put them in and they were blurry. so I made the 2 hour drive each way once again to get my prescription corrected and to let the dr know the dry eyes weren't improving, either He sent in for another set of trials that came several weeks later and were also blurry. I suggested just going back to the precription I had from my previous optometrist and his ego seemed to be tarnished by that and he refused to do that. This place is smoke and mirrors... he is not a good optometrist. Hes got this dry eye equipment he uses to upsell you. Look at the Facebook page, its what they push... He should start with getting prescriptions accurate.
