May 2026. Raleigh, NC. Went there to sell several hundred DVDs, most of which were sealed and NEW. Was told the offer was 5 to 50 cents each, without even looking at them, and with store credit only. Lowest cost DVDs in store were $6.99. Would have to sell 75 DVDs to buy one of them back. Not a reasonable place to sell DVDs, and I didn't see much of a selection for purchase. read more

Don't sign up for their BackStage VIP membership, because not only is it a pain in the ass to cancel. You also have to fight and call each different magazine they make you sign up for to cancel those subscriptions as well. What a scam and a waste of time. It's insidious and greedy to leech money out of someone hoping they forgot what they signed up for after a free period. This location also did not disclose that their membership was not free. I definitely recommend you AVOID these stores. read more

I am usually a fan of these kind of stores, but this one was a little disappointing. Just from walking in the place was very dated and was a little messy. The place did have some cool merchandise, but it mostly wasn't that impressive. read more

While I'm not really a fan of the store itself, I'm a fan of the help and the staff... the people I dealt with here yesterday were some of the friendliest people I've ever dealt with at any retail store... EVER! Another plus, was the package of CD-R's I bought was also on sale, Score! What don't I like about the place - it's a music/video/game store that really only carries mainstream stuff - and it's a chain, and it feels and looks like every other chain store that's in the same business. read more

Stopped in here earlier this year and where I did not have any issues with the associate like some have mentioned, he was actually very helpful and quite nice. My issue is the lack of merchandise in store when it comes to DVDS and CDS. You go in and a majority of the store is nothing but either funko pops, shirts, or other knick-nacks so to speak when it comes to media. You have a very small selection of physical media, the DVD / Blu Ray isle is only a couple of rows and if you are looking for CDs they barely have a good selection to choose from. If you are looking for funko pops or want some cool shirts, then definitely check this location out cause like I said, they have a good amount to chose from but if you are looking for movies or music, you are better off just ordering from online or going to your local Wal-Mart or Target. read more

My girlfriend bought me the Friends DVD collection from here for Christmas. They sold her a busted box which they tried to tape up and hide AND 1-2 of the DVDs were missing out of it. Still charged her over $100. I went in upon noticing the botched tape job and the missing discs with receipt in hand. Told them how it was when I took it out of the rewrapped plastic they put it in and also about the missing discs. They told me that I was responsible for the damages and lost discs inside in front of my girlfriend who was there when I opened it and saw everything. They refuse to give my girlfriend her money back, belittled both of us, and refused an exchange. I will NEVER go to ANY F.Y.E again after this read more
