Some fanatics - and Bob seems like a super fan - can lean too far into teacher or insider mode with kids or anyone not into their thing. Bob, in contrast, was so great to ask about what they like, what they're into, and really served to foster their growing love of many types of music and analog formats. If you love record / CD stores, just go. More CDs than I've seen in a shop in an age. The place is a gem and Bob's the icing on the cake.

Nice selection of records and CDs. Ended up getting a couple of each for the collection. Owner/manager was very polite and apologized for the walk like it was his fault. Life happens. I will be back. If he comes back call 911. He's a FN ahole. On and on. Evidently right before I walked in another customer walked out complaining about their practices. (I did not see this first hand) As I'm looking through the records he (the owner) starts engaging with another customer about a prospective employer for the customer. You don't wanna work for him. He's an ahole. He's a fn liar. He'll tell you one thing and then do another. On and on. I was right in front of him and said "tell me how you really feel" to which he looked shocked and then concerned that I might know the individual in question. Final straw was when he made a crack about his employee being a lesbian. Of I were her I would've knocked the crap out of him then and there. There are plenty of jobs out there. He had no idea who I was or who I knew. Wrong way to run a business. I will not be back.

They had a nice selection of a variety of genres, and I really liked the children's section, which was partially divided by ages group/reading level (which is helpful for clueless aunties like myself). One of my favorite things about indie bookshops is their bookish gifts/swag, and Inkwood has this in spades. I also enjoyed the staff recommendations throughout the store.

If you're a vampire, transgendered travelers stuck in Croatia, a bodyguard for a famous actor, a lonely farmer or a gay artist, there was probably a romance book somewhere in the store written just for you. Very welcoming to everyone and anyone. One downside is that the store had some sort of aromatic diffuser, and it was a little too strong for someone like me who is very sensitive to artificial smells.
