Tacos were good. Margs were ok. Eloté was great. The black beans and refried beans were bland. Service was slow (my plate was cold), but the place was VERY busy and new. Got in and out in about 45 minutes, on taco Tuesday for $2 tacos, However, the tacos were cold, not super flavorful and no real salsa to speak of, just a hot sauce, not so good either. The margs were just okay, even after adding a shot of Grand Marnier, they needed help. At around $5 a taco, probably will not go back. Staff was somewhat disorientated, like not sure who I should wait on, confused looks on their faces. Granted they are fairly new here but none the less, they should know their jobs. The bill: what is with the local Colorado alcohol tax? Looked it up, it appears that because they buy their booze from out of state, we don't only have to pay a premium for the drinks but an additional tax? BS. My son and I tried Fuzzy's today and he actually asked if we could go back tomorrow for his birthday dinner. Granted he only ate from the kids menu, I was surprised. I had the Baja Fish Taco and the Shrimp Taco and they were both amazing. The condiments and sauces they add are the perfect final touches. I felt like I was eating tacos in California or Mexico. The service we had was also wonderful. I didn't catch her name, but she had very long braided blonde hair. She was a doll. Lastly, the patio seating is cute. read more

The pregnant bartender was the only re-deeming quality of the new fuzzy's. Clearly all the positive reviewers have not been to an original Texas location or a front range location in the last decade. The current staff didn't listen during training and the several years they had to open this location clearly want enough to do a good job. The drinks were horrible and the service was non existent. The poor bartender took our order and had to wait for each of the 3 drinks to be made by another party. It was between 7 and 12 minutes before we received each of them. I have never ordered a drink at a fuzzy's in the past where it wasn't made by the person i ordered it from. While I watched the trainees make our drinks in the well, I read the ingredient list. I noticed they neglected to put triple sec in any of my drinks, even thought the menu listed it as an ingredient. During our entire experience the owner or franchisee lady in ripped jeans with the tude would come behind the bar and pour herself a drink and not acknowledge any of the customers. Then she would return to her laptop. She then spoke with the assumed manager. He sat next to her and stuffed his face with food while they talked about "numbers". All while they ignored the customers that surrounded them. I would never go behind a bar where I worked, owned, managed, or represented and not greet the people paying my bills. The food was OK and it was very very slow. This will be the third restaurant that will fail in this location recently solely based on lack of effort and oversight. read more

Had such a great experience at Fuzzy's Taco Shop! The food was really good, but what stood out the most was the service. Tony was our server and he was so nice, helpful, and attentive the whole time. Disappointing! After a busy work week, we arrived at 8:45pm excited to try the new, fun restaurant in GJ. Here's the quick scoop on our dining experience- one person in our party got her food 40 minutes later at 9:25, by 9:45 we hadn't received ours. No follow up, no apologies from staff or management --it seemed they were spending more time avoiding the issue than fixing it. The owners were busy cleaning tables and not greeting guests in their brand new restaurant or helping coordinate service ...we finally called one owner to the table to ask about our food. She disappeared and never came back. Servers finally brought the wrong order for one of us at 9:50 and then argued at our table about our order and our check. They mentioned the owner was inside telling them how to manage this unbelievably terrible experience---but that owner never came to our table. We finally left after 10pm having paid $58 for 2 weak margaritas, some guacamole and the one meal we got --that they still charged us for! One bright spot- Server was left alone trying to fix a frustrating situation for us and her. Totally inappropriate. We are always excited for new restaurants in GJ...BUT, my recommendation? Don't risk going hungry or wasting your money- just go to Chipotle if you want Mexican food on Hwy 6&50. read more

This was my second time. First time wasn't great so I thought I'd try again. First clue, they hired a bunch of teenagers as wait staff. The table was dirty. We asked if our table could be wiped off. I'm not sure what the young man used. Looked like a napkin. Didn't really clean it. There were flies all over the place, both times. First time wasn't great lunch, second time dinner. Second time, we ordered the chip trio and it never came. We were offered one cocktail and water. Our waiter never came to see if we wanted another. Nor did he ever fill our water. Our tacos came so we cancelled the chip trio and not sure it was even ordered. One of us ordered a plate which would have included rice and beans. That order wasn't placed correctly so we didn't get the plate but two tacos. While the inside of the taco was tasty, it was served on a cold corn tortilla. W didn't have a single napking at our table. Had to flag down someone to bring some. The milder sauce was empty. My chile relleno tacos was tasty but served in a cold flour tortilla. We asked for split checks. One friend paid first. He never even handed her the tablet to leave a tip. Goofed up the other separation of checks. So disappointing. I understand this is new and busy. Staff extra knowing you will be busy. Give better service and you could have sold a lot more to our table if you would have come back. It will be a long while before I go back. Honestly..... the hype was not hyping. We showed up and ordered drinks and the drinks were not what was shown on the menu. I asked for my margarita a certain way and just didn't do it. Forgot my kids drink so she didn't have anything to drink until we got our food which is ridiculous as a mom you know how it is when your 2 year old wants something to drink. We asked for more chips and another round of drinks which we didn't even get either and he didn't even take it off the ticket. Food was sub par the burrito is the size of my iPhone. For $12 you can go anywhere else and get an entire plate size burrito for the same price. They also didn't give me my sides with it. He kept saying "he would go check on that" for all the items we missed and never got. We ended up not even splitting our ticket with our group because we knew it was gonna be a sh*t show. So when we checked the ticket he still charged us for all the missing items.... So that was the first and the last for our entire group! read more
