This company does not take their complaint seriously enough because if they had, they would have listened to their complaints dated from a couple of years ago up to the present date and there would be no room for error.
They've acknowledged that standards were not met and their "Good Will Gesture" was pulled last minute due to reviews were left. Which to me implies their good will gesture is actually a bribe because what they really wanted was for us to stay quiet and keep our mouth shut. Forgive me Graham, we did say in our original email to the CEO that we are not made of sugar candy (reference for the Canadians). You shouldn't expect to buy peoples silence when the hotel is below standard.
To anyone staying at this hotel; Do take your own cleaning products, bed linen and towels.
If you have dust allergies, STAY AWAY. I have never witnessed (until this hotel) thick dust fall into light fixtures and disperse into the air at the same time when disturbed. We dare not turn on the A/C in the room because the grill was laced with dust. One of our party has a dust allergy from birth.
If you don't mind flipping massive heavy mattresses by yourself and re-making your bed every day/night, then go ahead, the ideal hotel for you.
If you don't mind sleeping on bodily fluids and blood stained mattresses, by all means, go ahead. The mattresses were disgusting and vile. 3 out of 4 mattresses were stained btw.
They advertise as "the cleanest bathrooms" - this is not the case! When I move the toilet brush, a thick build-up of crap was left it's in place and when it was moved again, it left another circle. This shows how clean the bathrooms really are. Where your slippers people! Hair on the bathroom wall and amongst the towels..
Well done Future Inn for not living up to what you advertise. Sure that's called false advertising right??
What else..
Do not trust when they've said they have done a "deep clean", simply not the case.
They are very good a providing lip service.
Check under the beds - even after a deep clean.
If you don't mind sleeping with, showering with and using towels with other people's hair, stay at this hotel - Hair was every where, every day.
Check the bread as well, you don't expect to hear of mouldy slices.
Check your pillows, I handed a lumpy one back and another customer was seen walking towards reception looking less than happy with 2 pillows, which were pitched between her fingers. Again, it's not just our rooms.
Almost every one of the bed protectors we had put on our bed were stained and damaged (broken straps, holes/wear and tear).
The general state was dirty, the bed runners, curtains, carpets and it smelt. If it wasn't the hotel smelling, the alleyway by the side was stinking of urine, I know this is not the hotels fault but it definitely adds to the overall experience oh and being told parking was validated for the afternoon after check out only to find out that was NOT the case. Thanks again Future inn for the misleading advice.
You can find pictures and other further info on how this unfolds in other reviews left from our party staying at this hotel.
Ladies and Gents, its not easy for me to right this nor is it to complain, my hope is that everyone starts checking their rooms properly because after this experience, I will never look forward to going away again in the same way.
We were offered another room on another floor, so we went and checked it out (after being told to not mess the room up). Guess what... Same issue! To me, this indicates it's not just our rooms, it's an issue across the whole hotel.
The hotel has had positive reviews and I would ask each and everyone of those customers if they had pulled back their sheets, checked their mattresses, run their fingers along the A/C unit, top of the cupboards, pictures etc, checked that the bathrooms are "the cleanest" as advertised and so on. If the robes and slippers aren't in your room as advertised, you can find them at reception. You shouldn't have to ask for them like we did but these can be found at reception.
Is this what you are expecting to find in something that has 4/5 rating.. Would you accept any of the above if this was your family and friends?
So much about this hotel bothers me. From the lack of how much management can and can not do, hold on rephrase, will not do, to the staff who turn over the rooms and simply ignore and cover up the disgusting beds (to point out one of many failings) which you are expecting to pay above for btw, all the way to whom ever is doing their laundry.
Ladies, gents and kiddo's, I encourage you to check your rooms.
I am hoping Future Inn puts measures in place so they meet an acceptable standard and at the very least live up to what they advertise.
To Future Inn, you don't need to respond or justify yourself with this review.
