Apparently when someone doesn't cover your grays (whites in my case) correctly and you ask them to fix it and this happens twice in a row after each coloring, you are the problem not the person coloring your hair. The owner literally just told me on the phone in a rude manner 'we will fix it this time but next time you need your hair colored you should go somewhere else because this keeps happening with you' !!! He went on and on about how the previous time it happened it looked fine to him (there were visible whites in the front)' and essentially accusing me of lying. Yep folks it's my fault that my hair that they colored yesterday still has some white and the base doesn't match the rest of my hair. What do you say to something like that ?!! We will fix it this time but go somewhere else after. Yeah like I even want to come back after that statement! When I proceeded to tell him he was being rude and condescending and that I would write a review about this he started yelling cutting me off saying 'are you threatening me?' Over and over until I hung on him. No thanks I don't need this abuse. There was another inicident where I booked a haircut with him. When he started cutting my hair he asked 'who cut your hair it's really uneven' all shocked but when I told him it was one of his staff and why I booked with him instead his whole demeanor changed and went on to say things like 'well if you don't communicate exactly what you want you might not get good results' again putting on me that my hair was badly cut!!! It is so extremely rare to sit in that chair and feel like the stylist just "gets" what I'm looking for and can make it a reality. Rachel made it happen so painlessly and the experience was pleasant through and through (and the mimosa didn't hurt either ). I was so appreciative after having to cancel my appointment last week due to an emergency with my son, that Rachel didn't hold the cancellation against me and showed concern asking how he was doing. My hair came out beautifully, and Rachel took the time to answer all my inquiries about hair troubles and techniques. I will most definitely be returning!

The toner was also left on for far too long, and my hair is now more damaged than it has ever been.I had an important event this week and instead of feeling good about my hair, I am embarrassed and extremely upset about how it looks and feels Unfortunately, I also did not feel that the stylist was confident or experienced with the color I was asking for, despite reassuring me that she could achieve it. the salon owner had to keep showing her what to do . To further explain - I went in as a walk-in on a Thursday afternoon to inquire about same or next day appointment availability. There was one person working who said she could take me right away. After washing she parted my hair in the middle and cut my hair straight across. No cleaning up the ends, no smoothing or texturizing - just a straight blunt cut across. I was in the chair for one minute. She then asked if there was anything else she could help with? It was really odd. I did opt to have my hair blow dried. When I went to check out, I was charged 3x what the prices posted on the wall were. I questioned it, and she confirmed it was correct. My hair frizzed up within 5 minutes of leaving the salon, so I don't think it was dried completely. The way my hair was cut was literally what I did to trim my split ends myself during the start of the Covid pandemic when salons were not open. This was not a professional cut. Meanwhile, I have shared this story with with friends, including a couple who work in the industry, who were all appalled at what I paid. I tried calling and following up to express my concern a few weeks later and my call was never returned. I think this place was empty for a reason. There seem to be positive reviews from a couple years ago. Something has definitely changed based on my experience.
