Let's clear the air first, it's Lagree, not Pilates. From the very first slow, controlled workout,…read moreI was hooked. I've tried plenty of different workouts over the years, and this one is truly my jam. I've been coming to this studio since it was formerly known as SMUV. It's under the same owner, just rebranded as LFBA, and the quality has only continued to impress me. The studio has 10 reformers and an amazing team of instructors who consistently deliver challenging, effective classes. Spots fill up fast, so be sure to book early to secure your place. I can't say enough good things about this studio.

I took my first class today and these are my thoughts on it…read more The booking process - I knew that they had a first session fee for $28 and that would include the socks. When I tried booking it through the app, I selected it on the drop menu, but for some reason it didn't put it for me. I did pay a reduced fee, but I would think that it would know that it was my first time and automatically sign me up for it. When I got there, the instructor told me I had to pay for the socks, but I could email the manager to see if I could get a reimbursement. So the class and socks ended up costing me 40 bucks (18 for socks). For some reason the label said $14, but I was charged 18. Not sure why. First impressions - The instructor seemed nice, but the intro was literally 5 minutes long and then you were on your own. When I started at orange theory, the coach constantly checked in on me to see if I was okay and that made me feel better about starting a new workout. Honestly, I felt like a fish out of water. I had to keep looking at the other girls next to me to see what to do because the instructor was throwing out instructions and unfamiliar terms to me at the speed of light. Also, I could tell the handle bar slack was uneven, but after my friend mentioned that hers was too to the instructor, she said "oh" and that was it so I didn't speak up either. The workout - Man, this burns so good. I thought I would be prepared for it with a year of Orange Theory under my belt, but my body was not ready for it. I can see why it's such a good workout. My legs were still shaking 30 minutes after. I would be up for another class in the future. Just need more exposure to the terminology. Overall it was a great workout. Maybe not the best for someone that is completely new to it, but you got to start somewhere.

I saw multiple people look confused as to where to place things back. I asked if there were wipes so I could wipe down my station and was told that the entire studio was disinfected including every single weight, and all towels were washed. I was doubtful since some of the classes on the class schedule were back to back. So basically they're tone policing me and telling me I looked dissatisfied, and then REPORTED me over that. ****I would personally not recommend going to a studio where they ban people for asking questions and being cautious.**** I went to one class and they banned me for asking for help, which is wild. I came early with my coworker and was excited to work out with her. During the class I moved through all the movements and asked for a modification during a lunge. I also asked for help when I wasn't feeling a stretch at the end of class. The instructor simply said "well I guess you just won't feel it then" and walked away. Other than that, I did not interact with the instructor. 2 days later I received an email saying I was banned because of my "behavior toward the instructor." I think this decision was more about the instructor's ego than anything else. I definitely don't recommend coming here unless you are someone with no fitness background and would rather be in silent pain than ask for help. And don't even bother if you have any sort of problems at all! Knee injury? Back pain? "Guess you just won't feel it then." I also want to share that I had an alternative experience at a local yoga studio where I was tentative about things and despite that, everyone made me feel incredibly welcome and invited me back. Even though it wasn't my cup of tea, I gave it a fair shot and have nothing but great things to say about the studio and team there and reviewed it accordingly. It really doesn't have to end this way, but some businesses are just really feedback-averse and that's disappointing to see.

What stood out to me was how spacious and aesthetically pleasing the studio is. It gives total "Pilates princess" vibes, and the instructors are so friendly and welcoming. With about 12 reformers, the class size feels intimate, and the instructors do a great job walking around to help correct form and technique. The upbeat, popular music they play adds a motivating energy that makes those tough exercises more bearable! Plus, the reformers are wiped down after each class, and the calming scent in the studio is such a nice touch. What really sets this studio apart from others is that they also offer weight training and HIIT classes which is located next door. If you're looking to mix things up with other forms of exercise, this is the perfect place to do it! Classes are booked through their app, where you can even select your preferred spot. That said, it's a good idea to arrive about 10 minutes early to secure the spot you want. I'd definitely recommend this studio to anyone looking to start or continue their Pilates journey--it's the perfect mix of style, comfort, and variety!

Let's just get to it--I was looking for a studio with comfortable vibes, knowledgeable instructors…read morewho could cue anatomical points accurately for physical form improvement, and a studio that actually utilized the reformer with legitimate pilates exercises (e.g. not a place to just do lunges on the machine as warm up, then feet in straps for cooldown--I'm not going to say studio names). I know this sounds like a lot to ask, but I experience this at my local studio and I was looking for this in the Bay Area when I visit family, so I wanted to believe a studio like this existed up here... AND IT DID--RIGHT HERE!!! I actually really liked the 2fer intro package as it allowed 2 different opportunities to try diff teachers and to see if the 2nd time was equally as good (or worse?) than my 1st visit...and both times were equally exceptional. Both teachers (Jessica, Hannah) asked if I was new as I was not a familiar face and ensured to monitor and assist me throughout the class, and yes they were indeed accountable for their words. The instructors also do a great job managing the room by walking and demo'ing each movement wherever the majority of the class is facing forward. The curriculum itself never felt like a cookie cutter robotic template the instructors were reciting off the top of their head. The pilates exercises were very diverse and we utilized the machine from all possible angles. Lastly I was fortunate to speak w/ one of the owners on the phone before my first visit to get a feel for the studio. He was very friendly and helpful with information to know before my first visit, and it truly helped prepare me to have a positive first visit experience.

My wonky left kneel and ankle that always feel like they need to crack DO NOT hurt or bother me anymore AT ALL. Even my left shoulder feels better . Because of these things - it is worth every penny . I've been recommending this place to everyone . Highly recommend.

Here's my regretful experience. Though I am an avid runner, cross-trainer and hot yoga faithful, I've never committed fully to Pilates but thought it would help my 2 severely herniating lower back discs, suffered a few months prior. Though I enjoyed my initial session, and decided to sign up for their 8-pack ("EIGHT PACK") program, regretfully my back started cramping that very night and I called Club Pilates, Campbell in the morning to discuss my cancelation options, knowing my injury was not taking well to the regiment just yet. They instructed me to freeze or cancel my 8-Pack (EIGHT PACK) using the app, and while I decided to freeze my membership in early May (see attached email notification confirming the freeze), I've since been charged $199 per month since. I've been to Club Pilates Campbell 'only once'. That's over $600.00 in unauthorized charges, as you can you can see by my 'Freeze' confirmation email (attached) and Annette's disturbing related correspondence below. Club Pilates Campbell campbell@clubpilates.com, 10:14 AM (2 hours ago) HI Bob, My name is Annette, I am the GM for the studio. When you sign up for the 8 pack, it's a 3 month commitment. After the 3 month commitment it goes month to month until you give a 30 day notice. We don't see just 8 classes. We go over all that when you sign up. If you would like to freeze your account until your back is better we can do that. If you still wish to cancel you would need to respond back to this email stating that. We will email you the cancellation form and that 9/25 payment would be your last payment. Please advise what you want to do. Thanks, Annette Club Pilates Campbell 10 E. Hamilton Suite 300 Campbell CA 95008 (408) 412-0130 Can't say anything negative about their Pilates facility, or pleasant and informative instructors, but Club Pilates Campbell's business ethics takes a back seat to my wonderful experience as a member of Core Power Yoga, Bikram Yoga San Jose, Yoga Source Los Gatos and Hot Source Yoga, Aptos over the years. I will gladly delete this post upon refund of the unauthorized fees, though until then, please be WARNED.
