Fusion Dental has been wonderful overall spanning a decade or more of visits by me and my children. We went to Fusion Dental Eldersburg because my daughter was scared of our previous dentist and because I had had some bad experiences with a dental hygenist at the previous office. Fusion made up for what the other dentist's office lacked! Fusion offered prizes and presented a much gentler experience for my kids. I also am a skittish patient, so I appreciate their general conversation, accommodation to my needs, and thoroughness. Every once in a while, there will be a problem, but overall, I appreciate the staff and the dentists. The care is good and thorough. Sometimes, it depends on the personality of the team you have at the time you are seen; however, I generally have had very good experiences with the practice. Would recommend! read more

Stay away from this place. 1)They recommended services that I did not need, I told them, no I will wait, it has been years and nothing happened yet. 2) They lied to me. They charge my insurance for a deep cleaning service that I am 100% sure I did not get, a service that I clearly remember told them I do not want. They went ahead, charge my insurance, insurance did not cover and now they sent me to collections. Why should I pay for a service I did not get and clearly say I do not want? 3) They are horrible. 4) They are not honest. I used to take all my family there for years but realized that they changed. The service was was good many years ago, but most of the good and honest doctors/assistants that used to be part of this group already left. I had come in for a consultation on March 13 and had scheduled my wisdom tooth extraction for Wednesday April 10th. I haven't received any notifications so I call to confirm my appointment the day of and they tell me nothing's been scheduled for me. I already took off work Wednesday and Thursday for that and it's hard for me to even get those days off. The manager was absolutely rude to me for her staff's fault. She spoke to me as if it was my fault I didn't confirm my appointment right after scheduling it. She threw her hands up in the air and kept repeating that there's no appointments scheduled under my name and that there wasn't anything to do. Accommodate? Apologize? Check for availability for a different day? I did not feel valued nor respected in that conversation and I will also be making my complain to my original dentist for even recommending me this office. I was deceived. My dentist was so sweet and so compassionate that I actually recommended this dentist to other people. I went there with an excruciating toothache and was told to go to the endodonist who did a root canal. I returned to my dentist at Fusion to get a crown on my tooth which was more painful than the root canal and it never felt right in my mouth. Then the pandemic hit and everyone was advised to stay home if you didn't have an emergency. As far as I knew, my tooth was ok. After being vaccinated and I felt it was safer to go, I returned for a dental exam and was told by the dental assistant, "It says here that on your last visit, you was told to go to your endodontist because of the root fracture." WHAT ROOT FRACTURE??? Is she looking at my records???? I was shocked and confused. I responded that no one ever mentioned a root fracture to me. The assistant left for about 20 minutes and returned with a dentist, one I had never seen before, who came in and repeated the same statement like the statement was true because she said it. I told her I was NEVER informed of a root fracture and the last time I was there, my tooth was crowned after a root canal. Then she said it... "Your tooth wasn't crowned here. Must have been somewhere else; it wasn't done here. That crown is old! You need to go back to your endodontist! We didn't do that here," in a tone that was as cold and rude as she could muster. Clearly trying to gaslight me, like I didn't know who my dentist had been for at least the last 6 years or more. They had taken x-rays so I asked if I had any cavities. Shes says in an annoyed tone, "No, everything is fine. Go to your endodonist!" And she walked out of the room. Turns out because of fractured root that I was unaware of, I had infection in that tooth for over a year which led to bone loss which led to oral surgery. That sweet dentist that I trusted for years put a crown on a tooth she knew had a root fracture. I don't know how the fracture occurred but my dentist had knowledge of it and put me through the painful 2 part procedure of putting a crown on that tooth. Then they wrote down on my records that the very last visit I had with them, when mostly everything was shutdown from raging Covid, before any vaccines, and after having placed the crown on the tooth, is the alleged visit when they allegedly told me about this root fracture. If the dentist that I last saw is saying they didn't put the crown on there at Fusion Dental, how did they know about the root fracture? And they certainly charged my insurance for the crowned tooth. That visit when they claimed to have informed me about my tooth root being fractured never happened. They're claiming that I came there for a routine comprehensive exam when I was terrified of catching Covid because of my health conditions. I don't have amnesia nor Alzheimer's. The dentist was fantastic but the front office they don't even look at you when they collect their money they don't know the numbers correctly with the insurance and they threw my credit card at me and didn't look at me then they asked me if I wanted to reschedule and I just said have somebody call me later because I was just so insulted read more

Went in for cleaning. Was informed I had a shallow cavity that could be filled that day or rescheduled for later date. Decided to just knock out since I was there. About a day after filling was done my tooth was driving me nuts. I go back and they tell me I now will need a root canal. They drilled to deep, destroyed the root. Cost me over 1400.00 to have fixed. The dental hygienist was not as thorough as I am used to with my previous dental practice. I will probably be returning to them even though Fusion is 10 minutes from where I live compared to an hour. The dental hygienist did things in a weird order and only spent 30 minutes cleaning my teeth, if that. I am used to my old hygienist spending at least an hour with me making sure to really get everything clean. I am also not a fan of the whole payment is due at the time of service when they haven't even billed insurance. At your first appointment they give you an estimate of $200 then they want $400 when they haven't even run the claims through. read more

I went to see if I could get dentures, the Dentist told me I needed a referral to a specialist, I was charged $350.00. When I wrote to them, they lowered my cost to $250.00. I filed a claim and they lowered my bill to $105.00 . I am so outraged that one look in my mouth and claim that this is not egregious . This is pretty unethical if you ask me. One look in my mouth and they want me to pay for a referral. read more

This practice has been our go to for several years now, even when they were in their old location. Dr. Raj does a great job with the kids, and does a great job following up with us parents about what we are doing well and wed to work on. The Front Desk team is always friendly and in good spirits, and seem to keep their conversations focused on work amongst each other. The Dental Hygenists (or whatever title the people that clean your teeth prior to seeing the Dentist) always do a great job, even working with me during X-rays when Intend to gag with every shot. They make conversation with you to keep you relaxed and comfortable, and it isn't a forced conversation, it seems very genuine that they enjoy the interactions. The only reason I am knocking off 1 star, is that they told me twice that I needed a cavity drilled out and filled, but it's at a bad an, and I could potentially need a root canal or tooth removal. After some pushback, because I had such a bad experience at my previous practice, the Dentist said well, maybe it doesn't need it now, it's probably just from where your removed wisdom teeth were sitting and hitting on that tooth, it really hasn't changed since the last X-rays a year ago. So, basically, it wasn't needed, but they made the suggestion seem like a necessary course of action until I questioned it. However, the Dentist was very nice about it and said no worries, we will just keep an eye on it! Seriously though, I have no intention of leaving this practice, they're always great. Oh, and all the kids get prizes at the end of each service, and each patient (adult or child) gets a goodie bag to take home (new toothbrush, floss, toothpaste, etc.) read more

I took my mother there and was ready to go myself. Thank goodness I didn't. She was given a contract as to how much it would cost and it ended up being hundreds of dollars more because she was told the code was not put in right....Is that her fought...No! The only reason I give them a three star is it appears the work she had done has been done correctly even if the code wasn't....No one wants a bill higher than expected especially when they can't even talk at the time payment is due! read more
