I have always had a fear of dentist because of past experiences which were very painful. I researched top dentist in Maryland and I came across Dr. Kuzmak, Towson View Dental Care and decided to give them a call and make an appointment. I was very nervous about the visit because I had two broken teeth with only the roots left in my gums. Upon my arrival I was meant by a warm and welcoming staff. Dr. Kuzmack himself came out to the waiting area to greet me and to offer me a bottle of water. That definitely helped take the edge off. He explained everything to me before he began the procedure. I always brace myself for the initial needle stick and deep burning that follows from the Novocaine... However to my surprise Dr. Kuzmack pulls out a device that he uses in conjunction with the needles that massages your gums during injection which helped to alleviate any pain! I was totally taken back that I did not feel ANY pain the entire procedure. No pain from the needle or the root extraction. Both said, there is nothing there and I even went so far as to have a root canal on another tooth which one doctor thought caused the pain. Dr. Whitecar had state of the art equipment and easily identified a significant crack, albeit difficult to see with lesser equipment. I was scheduled for a procedure within days of the initial visit. The pain finally resolved. The staff was amazing as well and accommodated my initial visit within a day of my call. I highly recommend this practice.

Then I came back to get a night guard and I cannot say enough great things about this. Having the correct night guard has really improved my quality of life. Based on the amazing care I have received for teeth grinding, I made the bold decision to leave my old dentist and have Dr. B. as my dentist for comprehensive care. What this really means, is that Dr. B. is treating my teeth and my bruxism holistically. However, four days post op I was experiencing a significant amount of pain in my lower right extraction site (way worse than the other three) and so I decided to schedule an emergency appointment, as I was worried it could be a dry socket. I met with him at the Towson location for this appointment, and immediately could tell he was having a busy day and was not in the mood to deal with my issue. He had a very condescending tone and demeanor throughout the appointment, and when I expressed my concerns I felt like I was constantly talked over. He expected me to have the knowledge of an oral surgeon when I very much am not, and he barely looked inside my mouth to check on the state of the incisions. I explained that his tone felt condescending and he was exasperated. I then asked to leave and he went to a colleague and said "she called me condescending!" (this was verified to me by another colleague at the practice). I left and then decided to return with my mother present, and my mother was able to experience his lack of bedside manner first hand. He was rude to my mother, so much so that even she had to say something to him about it. I have never felt more disrespected by a medical professional in my life. This was my first experience undergoing surgery and I am now scared to have any more procedures done due to fear of having a doctor that doesn't care for my pain or concerns.

At my follow up, my teeth were cleaned, the hygienist was super nice, I set a six month appointment and that was that. I had my new dental establishment. Fast forward to December, my appointment gets cancelled. It is rescheduled for January. I can't make that one so I reschedule. That one gets cancelled. I put appointments on the back burner for two months. I then call, set up another appointment, and that gets cancelled. Finally I am able to go to an appointment in May that isn't cancelled. I tell them I haven't had a cleaning since the prior summer. They take measurements of my gums and tell me I will have to return for my cleaning. What!??? Just clean my teeth please. The kicker is, when I go to check out, I'm told I need a deep cleaning and with insurance it will run me about $3,000. Uh, no thank you. I went somewhere else, somewhere that does not accept my insurance, and had X-rays, a cleaning, a super communicative and pleasant hygienist and dentist face time all in one visit. And, are you ready for this, it cost me so much less than what Aspen wanted to charge me. Sorry Aspen, I'm out.

My smile was impeccable. I lost my retainer and immediately came to Dr. Snyder's office, as I have previously had a good experience. I came and had to pay $185 for an exam and scan. This had nothing to do with the actual retainer i wanted made. As i was to get fitted for my retainer the office told me they were short staffed so i would have to come back for my fitting-- 3 weeks later. I wish i would have gone elsewhere. Every single day that passes my teeth shift. And TODAY, the day of my fitting , as I prepare to drive TWO HOURS for my appointment, Dr Snyder's office calls to say their machine broke down. I must now be rescheduled AGAIN. They induced reliance and failed to deliver. My smile is gone and i now require invisalign. Their response? $50 off my retainer. Do yourself and your smile a favor and find a more reliable business.
