I don't know if there is a training gap at this location, but my rolls are never as good as the rolls I used to get on campus or Grandview. Every time I give this location another shot, the roll is not rolled tightly enough and I lose 2-3 pieces because they just fall apart. Do the people rolling the sushi not eat sushi? It's so frustrating. They are also sloppier about evenly distributing the toppings. That being said, I love FUSIAN as a whole and their ingredients and finished products are always delicious, even if I am only getting 70 percent of the roll. read more

We have been here a ton of times and it's always really good sushi. We like to mix it up and try all of their fillings and flavors. I like to call this place the sushi chipotle since you order it in the same manor. You choose your rice and wrapper to begin with (or a bowl if you choose). Then you get to choose what kind of protein you want in it (normally crab for me)! Then you have a huge amount of options for the additional fillings. I normally get the avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, carrots, edamame, and peppers. You're either going to get a really nice tight roll or a really loose roll that falls apart as you try and eat it. We are about 50% on this front and the loose rolls can really have a bad effect when you try to pick it up with the chopsticks. At the end you get to choose your toppings and sauces. Definitely try the cucumber salad as this is one of my favorite sides we will definitely be coming back here again and again. read more

Fusian is a great and affordable build your own sushi place! It's very convenient and filling. They even have meat options for people who don't like or want seafood or raw fish. They also have great topping options. You could make a Pokē bowl or a salad if you don't want sushi and those are good also. It's my go-to sushi place whenever I'm at Easton read more

One of my favorite places. I love that I can make my sushi with all the ingredients I like and not make substitutions. And while I love the raw I ingredients I also love the tempura shrimp and the braised steak. While not traditional choices for sushi, they have great flavor. Prices are reasonable and using the app to order ahead when in a hurry is also convenient. read more

Awesome. Love this place. What is not to like. Fresh sushi made in front of you and made to your liking. The first time I actually experienced Fusian was via a Yelp Event. It was very busy that night but well worth the wait. I have been back several times since that night. It was like a match made in Heaven. I have to thank my sister for turning me onto sushi. I used to turn my nose up to it and if anyone else mentioned it. I was like....gross. No longer. I even have my man eating sushi. My first visit I tried the steak and the crab. While my man got the shrimp tempura. I love all of them...so far. They even come to my work a couple of times a month. I am on a budget so I cannot indulge anytime I want or I would have some sushi at least one a week. I will definitely be back, especially since there is now a location at Easton...Woohoo! The only problem I have had so far is not being to wait in the line because the meter is going to run out or my lunch is over. Oh well, next time. read more

I've hit up Fusian since they first opened up in Columbus on campus (thanks to Yelp) and their Clintonville location (thanks to Yelp) and now their Easton location (thanks to work). One thing can be said - consistent experience. I think the most negative thing I can think to say - the wasabi was once the texture and consistency of playdoh (literally, one time of the several I have been here). They have a giant map showing where all their ingredients come from (which I like, I'm a sucker for the whole locavore type things). Overall, though - the staff is kind, courteous, and fast. It's one of those places that I can come and have lunch with a buddy and be in and out as fast (or slow) as we need to be - which makes that a big win when you just want to step out of the office for a quick bite (and not a long lunch). And I know some sushi places... you can get "the fish burps" (I won't name the place, but my friends love a sushi joint that has left me regretting every time I let them convince me to go, which leaves me tasting fish oil pills afterwards) - but here? Never a problem. Just tasty sushi rolls, made to order (and I did finally try a non-fish roll here-the chicken-which was delicious!) read more

We've been to other Fusian locations and liked them, and needed something simple this time at the end of a road trip. Sweetie built a California roll; I ordered from their menu and got a Left Coast roll, which is pretty much a California roll, and a Soul Bowl, mainly rice, kale, and raw salmon. Both of mine were very good- well-made, super fresh ingredients, tasty and balanced combos. The fish they use is very fresh, and service was very good. Prices are reasonable; I had enough for two meals, plus Sweetie's, so essentially 3 meals for #27. I'm sure we'll be back. read more

Overall, an almost-good experience at FUSIAN. It would help if they had menus at the door like similar-concept restaurants, because it can be hard to see the overhead menu when others are in line. It was our first time and we didn't feel rushed and our questions were answered. Our food was tasty, but my roll was actually not completely rolled which made it difficult to eat. Service was not fantastic. I liked my hot tea so I asked to see the box to know what was in it (herbal) and they weren't able to tell me. Also, the same guy who was sweeping the floor immediately jumped in line to make rolls, without a hand wash in between, or gloves, and that's just not ok. I might order again to-go, but won't be dining in. The utilitarian concrete dining benches are smooshed right up by the serving line, which made an unpleasant dining experience. read more

I loved this very cute fast food sushi kinda chipotle-style restaurant. Lovely modern decor with glass overlooking a large patio. It'd be awesome eating outside in good weather. The staff were welcoming and did a good job. So the menu is chipotle style with several fixings and at a very good price! It's b/n $7-$8 for a roll (10 pieces) and $2 for extra protein. Choose between brown rice & white rice then choose b/n seaweed or soy wrap(extra cost). select your protein- there are several options - salmon, smoked salmon, tuna, shrimp tempura, crab sticks, crab mix (both imitation crab - would be great to get some grab! Or deep fried soft shell) & chicken & beef! I ordered tempura shrimp and added on: spring onions, jalapeño, avocado & cucumber. Asparagus, sweet potato & carrots also available. Then you top with a sauce and can choose to add on tempura crunch. I had the crunch & spicy mayo. My sushi was delicious! I was pleasantly surprised & a little ashamed how much I enjoyed it! One roll fell apart a little. I'll be back for more quick & affordable sushi! read more

What a great concept of "create" your own sushi. Love going to Fusion at Easton for lunch. It is quick, easy, and delicious. Their sushi has great flavor and the staff has always been friendly. You can order from their app and the food will be ready by the time you get there. They recently added bowls to their menu, which I have not got to try yet but will definitely try them in the near future. They have outdoor or indoor seating. There is meter parking or free parking near by. Plus, you are close to Easton shopping. read more

Fusian is the Chipotle of sushi. You walk in, select your roll (brown or white rice?), select your meats (fried shrimp, steak, crab, salmon, tofu, chicken) and your fillings (carrots, cucumber, jalapeno, asparagus, avocado, cream cheese, green onion). Fusian wraps it up for you, and you can top it off with some sauces and additional yummy goodness (wasabi mayo, ginger, soy, tempura, etc). If all of that sounds too daunting, there are also some set menu choices to choose from: california roll, spicy salmon roll, surf & turf roll (recommend this one!). So all of that sounds like your standard sushi fair but omg the ingredients at this place were so fresh and flavorful. The Chipotle-style assembly line made the line pretty long, so I was prepared to dislike this. But wow! it was just so good. Most rolls are $7-9, which is a little on the pricey side considering all the half-price sushi deals around town. But 1 roll is 10 pieces and I was comfortably full after just the 1 roll. Once the employees get good at the assembly line setup, this food will sell itself. It's that good! read more

I may never eat grocery store sushi again! Fusian occupies the nice spot between grocery store sushi and higher end places at an attractive price point. I've been hearing raves from fellow foodies, but was hesitant to try it because of the Chipotle-style ordering. Could it really be good, I wondered? And it is good! On my visit I had the spicy salmon with sweet potato, asparagus, and cucumber and veggie roll with practically all the veggies and cream cheese. Topped both rolls with tempura crunch; spicy mayo on veggie and sweet soy on spicy salmon. I wish the salmon was spicier, but the texture and taste was good. Tbh, you could probably get one roll and a side (seaweed salad!) for a full meal. I was struggling to finish both and in fact took half a roll home. Quality, value, and ease of ordering were top-notch and excited to visit again! read more

I like this place. I think for a meal a roll and a half would suffice. I had one salmon and one veggie roll. I loved the sweet potato, cream cheese and asparagus veggie roll concoction I made with sweet soy sauce. Each roll is between 7-8$ and its a good quick option. I went to the Easton location which is away from the main part of the mall on the side where REI and Costco are. My friend and I walked but its about 15 minutes from the Easton movie theater. Its a quick place to get relatively healthy food after a busy day of shopping/errands. read more

Fusian is a perfect way to introduce the sushi skeptics to the joys of eating sushi! Considering I've only been eating sushi for a few years now, I in no way declare myself to be an expert...I just know what combinations of flavors I like. I had the pleasure of meeting Zach, Josh and Steve, and hearing how they wanted to take the mystery out of sushi. There's no intimidation, and the laid back vibe you get as soon as you walk through the doors was really inviting. With so many fresh items to chose from, you can truly create your own signature roll! We even got a child who'd never tried sushi until tonight wanting to come back...that says a lot. You can get full from just one roll, and the prices aren't intimidating either. If you're looking for just good sushi without all the high price and pretense of some other area restaurants, you really ought to give Fusian a try! read more

First timer to fusion and I'm in heaven. As a person who eats sushi often this is very good. Rolls are much bigger than the average also. I got a roll with tuna and the other with braised beef. I came here on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30pm maybe and the venue was not busy at all so I was served right away. The guy behind the counter was really friendly, didnt skimp on the avocado (some places will do that), and listened to me when I asked for a tiny amount of scallions (the last fusian I went to I asked for a tiny amount and I got like a pound of it). The decor is great too and the outdoor seating is super nice and spacious for a good weather day. Will definitely come back to this location. read more

To start, the food is good for fast sushi. Half of the people who work here are super friendly. The other half are not it seems painful for them to speak to customers. Both of my boys love sushi. They are very picky and they will only eat this place. . But they only get rice and tuna. We add no vegetables or additives. They do however love the tempura crunch. So we ask for quite a bit extra. The employees act like if they put too much they will get yelled at. We have asked if we can purchase a bag of the tempura or ask the brand the use, they cannot do either of those things. We used to order online and since they do not have an option to add extra crunch we would always call in and ask if they will add it. Each and every-time we call the "user is busy". Anyway, for one roll with no veggies came out to $17. That is just absurd!!! Also, they keep this location at 0 degrees at all times. We had a very miserable experience. Super frustrating. read more

Interesting spin....Chipotle meets Sushi rolls. You can get made to order rolls your way or made to order their way. We chose our way, and chose from the many choices of fresh veg and protein. They roll and cut. We also had a salad and miso soup. Both were on the good side of good. Try their array of choices of fresh juice drinks. Many flavors to choose and each would do fine with vodka added, which they don't do. Nicely located in the new part of Easton. They have two other locations in Columbus. Servers were well trained, very helpful, and sharp looking. We're fans. read more

Ordered this for delivery to avoid a snowy Sunday. I ordered the chicken and rice roll, cucumber salad, and the spicy edamame. Food was packed well, and arrived hot. The chicken and rice roll was very tasty. Fresh and flavorful. The cucumber salad was excellent. The sweet and spicy edamame was good. A little more spicy than sweet. It was all good, and I will be trying more of their selections in the future. *************** Update********** I've ordered from here on several occasions and figured I'd give this an update. The food I have ordered has always been spot on. Very consistent, and consistently good. Definitely a great order out place that always delivers. read more

Well what can I say I discovered sushi on vacation a few weeks ago so I had to venture out and try some locally and this place was recommended to me. I ventured into here with all my newfound bravado not knowing a first thing about making sushi rolls but I was being the brave one. However I played it safe with a crab roll and the tempura shrimp roll and I added cucumber, avocado, carrot, tempura crunchies, and that was just the beginning. You can add additional sauces but I'm a newbie so I'm just starting out with the sushi beginnings. However it's a great place to begin your journey. read more

Amazeballz! There's a machine that flattens your rice on a wrapper and another machine that slices your sushi roll into 10 pieces. In between you get to pick exactly what goes in your roll--protein & veggies. Top it off with sauces and masago and maybe a sprinkle of tempura or sesame seeds. I am a rookie sushi fan so this is the perfect place for me. It's a "chipotle-style" establishment (sorry couldn't think of another way to describe it) where you choose what you would like inside. Choose from an array of veggies, fresh protein, toppings and sauces. Don't forget to order a cucumber salad! It was life changing and I never visit without it. Be prepared to order fresh lemonade ( lavender is my favorite), tea or water. This place does not serve soda which is fine for me but others may need to be made aware. Those preparing your rolls and super nice and patient. It's a small store so there isn't a lot of seating and it's communal but I never mind. read more

Very good poke bowls. Big portions. And the customer service is excellent. Very nice professional employees. The place is cute and clean.

As far as sushi goes in Ohio its not bad its not really great either though. The salmon tasted really fishy and more slimy than usual and their spicy chicken roll wasn't really good. The chicken needs some work its a big part of the roll and it doesn't taste good but a lot of their concepts are really interesting and fun. The drinks are awesome and refreshing. read more

The worst sushi ever! The rice is not cooked throughly so it tastes like little stone all over your sushi. Seaweed is not fresh is it doesn't taste crunchy at all but sticky to your teeth instead!!! Sushi was really good and I love that you get to see and make your own roll with the ingredients you choose. I might return there for the novelty of it and the food was pretty good. Must say though that I thought the beverages were all disgusting. The spicy food made me want to drink but the lemonade made me gag each time I drank it. The tea was better. Maybe I just am so sugar addicted I can't handle unsweetened lemonade? I saw the selections of Lavender lemonade and ginger lemonade and was very excited to try them- but they were all terrible. We also got the soul bowl and it was good but maybe a bit to lemony/acidic. The rolls were very good and the sauces were a tasty addition. It was very cold in there though. Wear a coat lol. Would have been better if the drink selection was better... read more

Although I'm a huge sushi fan, I am not fan of the build your own concept. I would love it if they had just a plain old spicy tuna roll (and not have it cost 8 bucks!) Long lines, kind of expensive. I was left hungry because one roll cost 10 bucks! read more

Fusian is always an A+++ experience. It's top in my book in terms of healthy fast options, plus they're philanthropic, clean, and delicious as heck. Most of the ingredients remain the same (and always fresh) throughout the year while one ingredient is seasonal. That keeps things predictable but also fun and new. I'm not normally a drink person, but you can't go there and get just a water. Their lemonades are natural and less sweet than most, so I can't miss mixing a little agave gingerade with their green tea.
