We have been here a ton of times and it's always really good sushi. We like to mix it up and try all of their fillings and flavors. I like to call this place the sushi chipotle since you order it in the same manor. You choose your rice and wrapper to begin with (or a bowl if you choose). Then you get to choose what kind of protein you want in it (normally crab for me)! Then you have a huge amount of options for the additional fillings. I normally get the avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, carrots, edamame, and peppers. You're either going to get a really nice tight roll or a really loose roll that falls apart as you try and eat it. We are about 50% on this front and the loose rolls can really have a bad effect when you try to pick it up with the chopsticks. At the end you get to choose your toppings and sauces. Awesome. Love this place. What is not to like. Fresh sushi made in front of you and made to your liking. The first time I actually experienced Fusian was via a Yelp Event. It was very busy that night but well worth the wait. I have been back several times since that night. It was like a match made in Heaven. I have to thank my sister for turning me onto sushi. I used to turn my nose up to it and if anyone else mentioned it. I was like....gross. No longer. I even have my man eating sushi. My first visit I tried the steak and the crab. I've hit up Fusian since they first opened up in Columbus on campus (thanks to Yelp) and their Clintonville location (thanks to Yelp) and now their Easton location (thanks to work). One thing can be said - consistent experience. I think the most negative thing I can think to say - the wasabi was once the texture and consistency of playdoh (literally, one time of the several I have been here). They have a giant map showing where all their ingredients come from (which I like, I'm a sucker for the whole locavore type things). Overall, though - the staff is kind, courteous, and fast. It's one of those places that I can come and have lunch with a buddy and be in and out as fast (or slow) as we need to be - which makes that a big win when you just want to step out of the office for a quick bite (and not a long lunch). And I know some sushi places... you can get "the fish burps" (I won't name the place, but my friends love a sushi joint that has left me regretting every time I let them convince me to go, which leaves me tasting fish oil pills afterwards) - but here? Sweetie built a California roll; I ordered from their menu and got a Left Coast roll, which is pretty much a California roll, and a Soul Bowl, mainly rice, kale, and raw salmon. Both of mine were very good- well-made, super fresh ingredients, tasty and balanced combos. The fish they use is very fresh, and service was very good. To start, the food is good for fast sushi. Half of the people who work here are super friendly. The other half are not it seems painful for them to speak to customers. Both of my boys love sushi. They are very picky and they will only eat this place. . But they only get rice and tuna. We add no vegetables or additives. They do however love the tempura crunch. So we ask for quite a bit extra. The employees act like if they put too much they will get yelled at. We have asked if we can purchase a bag of the tempura or ask the brand the use, they cannot do either of those things. We used to order online and since they do not have an option to add extra crunch we would always call in and ask if they will add it. Each and every-time we call the "user is busy". Overall, an almost-good experience at FUSIAN. It would help if they had menus at the door like similar-concept restaurants, because it can be hard to see the overhead menu when others are in line. It was our first time and we didn't feel rushed and our questions were answered. Our food was tasty, but my roll was actually not completely rolled which made it difficult to eat. Service was not fantastic. I liked my hot tea so I asked to see the box to know what was in it (herbal) and they weren't able to tell me. Fusian is always an A+++ experience. It's top in my book in terms of healthy fast options, plus they're philanthropic, clean, and delicious as heck. Most of the ingredients remain the same (and always fresh) throughout the year while one ingredient is seasonal. That keeps things predictable but also fun and new. I'm not normally a drink person, but you can't go there and get just a water. Their lemonades are natural and less sweet than most, so I can't miss mixing a little agave gingerade with their green tea.
