While it is industrial space it was cozy and just the right size for our group of ~120. We live in Seattle so planning an event remotely can be challenging, but Rebecca made it very easy for us with her excellent communication and great recommendations for party rentals and bartenders. Day of the event we were able to gain access to the space with plenty of time to set up and be prepared for our guest. We had a Studio staff member on site during our event for any support we needed - she was great! Plenty of parking for guest and a quick Uber (10 min from our hotel). I highly recommend The Studio for an event. We would definitely consider it for another party.

We did pay extra to have the Edison lights put up, (click on the photo to see them) which I recommend. We also used candles in hurricane containers which I also recommend as it gave the event a bit of magic. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are doing a week day event, you cannot get in to do decorating until 4:30p since this is a place of work. It did make our start time of 6p a little tight. We had the event catered but used disposable/compostable products. The kitchen area is open and perfect for a buffet. We also arranged for a Sweet Cow ice cream truck to come for dessert, which was a big hit and fun way to end the evening. I would do another party there given the chance.

The venue is surrounded by a bunch of really yummy places to eat and all of our guests were happy to have so many amenities in the surrounding area. The room itself was beautifully decorated and the kitchen and restrooms were practically attached. The training room comfortably held our training group of 26 but could easily hold up to around 40-50. The AV functioned off of Chromecast which made it really easy to connect and present. No wires required! Danielle was super easy to work with and very accommodating. She gave us a quick tour and showed us the additional spaces available to rent in the future. There are so many rooms of all sizes so we'll definitely be back!

It was a little challenging to find, but once we picked a desk to work at, we were set. Strong WiFi and friendly service. Fanciest coffee machine (and widest milk assortment) I've ever seen. Most of the common spaces are open with comfy furniture. There's conference rooms for rent (and I'm already thinking of private events to host) but I wish there were phone booths to take calls. I try to save call-heavy days for home, but inevitably I had to talk to my boss while hiding in a corner and trying not to disturb anyone else. We both took Uber here because Downtown metered parking is too inconvenient for a coworking day. It's near a bunch of great restaurants for lunch, so that's a huge plus. This is also really random, but Candy Factory really needs to have their literature proofread because my coworker and I ended up making fun of all the typos we could find. Overall cute space!

Bobbie arrived on time and went right to work. He got the pilot going, cleaned and adjusted the valves, removed a handful of dead bees, and vacuumed out the fireplace. He made other adjustments as well and did everything necessary to get the fireplace going like new. He cleaned the glass so well it's invisible. The fire didn't smell like it used when first starting up after a summer off. He charged $100. His skill, service and specialty tools he had with were well worth it. I've had numerous bad experiences with plumbers who seem to want to take advantage of a bad situation and it leaves you feeling really vulnerable. Karon showed up promptly and went right to work putting everything right after obtaining the proper replacement part. And truly reasonable. When it's an emergency, you'd pay damn near anything to put things back into working order, but I never felt that he was going to exploit the situation and take advantage. I felt confident enough in his work to ask him back to install a new garbage disposal. Easy/Peasy for Karon, no problems and the price was really good. Most recently I had a plumbing situation that I'd procrastinated about for weeks, because I just knew it was going to break the bank to repair. I seriously let a major leak drip, drip, drip into a bucket 'cause I didn't want the hassle/expense of having it fixed. Boy, did I feel like an idiot when Karon came out, accessed the situation, came back the next morning with the parts needed and got to work. An hour and a half later, which included pulling a toilet, he told me what I owed him and it was such a relief! Extremely reasonable for the work involved! You've got to get this guy out to your place and meet him. He's so polite and super sweet. Really, having a great plumber that is not going to take advantage of you is PRICELESS! You won't be sorry!
