Large and full flavor. Kangaroo - a must try! Don't know how to describe except it good. Chicken Wings - meaty and juicy. The sauce was not super hot, which we like, but the chef accommodated us and custom made one to our liking. Mostly to our 8 year Olds liking! 1/2 lbs prime brisket - tasty! With two beers the total without a tip is $64. A bit steep in my opinion, I'm a southerner and this didn't hit the spot, very disappointing. If you order a pound of pulled pork and 1/2 pound of brisket they will not volunteer enough bbq sauce, so do not expect them to be generous despite what you pay or tip for a Togo order. They might offer you 3 small cups of bbq sauce, but you will likely not enjoy but 1 of the flavors leaving you "SOL" for most of your BBQ. I generally expect BBQ joints to have a certain look and feel. You know, a gravel parking lot full of pickup trucks, blaring country music, indoor picnic tables and floors in need of mopping, and so on. This parking lot is paved with expensive brick parking slots filled with Audis and Range Rovers, and the place looked just a bit too neat and tidy. Inside, the clean and neat look continues. One wall has a collage of French wine boxes (is one allowed to drink wine with BBQ?). The place was almost too clean, a bit quiet, and I felt like they needed to rough up the place or throw some peanut shells on the floor or something. I was comforted to see rolls of paper towels on the tables, but the concern still nagged my mind upon arrival, "Do these people really know how to cook meat?" Well, they do. I ordered the lunch special, which was shredded/pulled chicken with jalapeños, fried onions, cheddar, bacon, and aioli on a brioche. The sandwich was loaded with meat and flavor. Halfway through, it began to fall apart, my mouth was covered in Memphis BBQ sauce, I began to use more paper towels, and I became convinced that these people know how to do BBQ. The mashed sweet potatoes are yummy, and the Mac n cheese is made with several cheeses including pepper Jack and has a nice little kick to it! Oh my gosh I almost don't want to do this review because I want to keep this place a secret. WOW what a find. First time here thru a friends recommendation. There were four of us and we ordered everything to share. The cocktails that came out were superb. Our server Allison was almost giddy helping us order. She helped us create an amazing meal. We started with bacon wrapped dates on top of a goat cheese and balsamic. A Cuban salad that was so fresh and the dressing was to die for. Moving on to dinner we ordered the fries smothered in brisket and cheese. We ordered the meat plate to share which is perfect for tasting wings brisket rib and pulled pork. I love that they allow you to pick your own bbq sauce. The sides are fab. Pepperoni Mac n cheese kinda zingy, beans,sweet potato mash. We were so full but had the benets for dessert. It is the real deal. The pulled pork was good but the brisket and collards were outstanding. Cool restaurant with a cool vibe and outstanding brisket and collards greens. Definitely not Texas bbq. Meats were juicy but not in a 5 star way. Brisket lacked smoke ring, rib was tender but seemed it was just seasoned with salt and pepper. Overall the food was just bland and the bbq sauce was way too runny. Naples needs good bbq and this is just missing some key components. Hubby said Mac n cheese was dry and not much flavor either. Pepperoni again made an underlining grease flavor. Also..... they don't have ranch.... what bbq place doesn't have ranch?! And a big no-no, nothing with heat. Texas is known for having that sweet heat annnnd zero cornbread! Can't advertise Texas style if it's not a true Texas style. Toast or bread is extra. This bbq is for people who just want simple flavors. The place was also DEAD during season which I thought was odd. Someone did comment on being sick after, I too threw up about 3 hours after. We got the Mac & Pork and Pit Beef sandwiches... both were incredible but I think the brisket edged out the pulled pork. Everything was super flavorful and served in great sized portions.
