Came for some bbq
Arturo M.

Thanks to the reviews posted we decided to try it out. What a great choice. I had ribs, Mac and cheese and greens. The wife had brisket slaw and sweet potato fries. Place was quaint, service was prompt and hospitable Server was great. She even accommodated my son with making him a burger even though it was not on the menu tonight. Am sorry we did not get her name. I Was in the mood for some good bbq and we sure found it. Will definitely be back.

We visited The Black Eyed Pig and had a fantastic experience! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, helping us choose some great options since it was our first time there. We went for a half slab of St. Louis-style ribs, wings (which absolutely lived up to the hype!), and pulled pork. Everything was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. We also tried the sides -- mac and cheese, fries, and potato salad -- and each one was delicious. I do wish the kids menu had chicken tenders on it for my one picky kiddo, but oh well, he loved the fries! If you're in Naples and craving great BBQ, definitely check out The Black Eyed Pig. We'll definitely be back!

3 1/2 and almost a 4 star restaurant. If you're looking for some southern style bbq food in (of all places) Naples (!) this is the place to come. It's a tiny restaurant in a semi industrial area that gets a good ole boy clientele. You can park right out front. Prices are reasonable and you get quite a number of items from their menu. I chose their baby back ribs. For my sides I opted for black eyed peas and (upgraded) to their Mac n cheese (based on other reviews). I loved the ribs. I got them dry and dipped then in the sweet bbq sauce. They also had hotter bbq sauce on the table. I like the black eyed peas also. I didn't care for the Mac n cheese (I regretted the extra $2.49) as the macaroni was a bit over cooked for me. My husband liked it, however, so I gave it to him. I should know by now that there are certain southern foods cooked not to my liking -- for example certain veggies and pasta. It's always too mushy for me. My husband got their pulled pork platter with baked beans twice. He liked the pulled pork as well as the baked beans. Both dishes also came with a choice of Texas toast or corn muffin. We both had the muffin. They say they are jalapeño muffins -- mine had all the spice. His not so much. We should have traded! Unfortunately, their only dessert was key lime pie and we were hoping for coconut cake or (my husbands favorite) banana pudding. We were too full anyway. So we passed on dessert. Service was friendly -- true southern hospitality in an upscale community not known for down home ambiance or this style food. C'mon by...

Smoked Chicken Wings

I really like this place a lot, a very relaxed and cool atmosphere and all the food is delicious. When we walked in, Amy was welcoming and very friendly when taking our order. I highly recommend the smoked turkey and pulled pork. Best BBQ around and I will definitely be going back.

Brisket is bed wettingly good! Smoked wings are great. Smaller in size compared to the best smoked wings in Naples, Low Brow's WTC. These are still tasty appetizers. Get rub, almost gritty and sweet. But back to that Brisket! I had the best sliced ratio of fat to meat. Melt in my mouth good. Ribs were a step below the aforementioned meats, but they fell off the bomb. I like the ability to choose dry or wet. Baby Back Ribs are perfect for me because I love the cartilage and gelatinous morsels. Pulled pork was good. Burnt edges mixed in the main body. Sausages just came out luke warm. Flavor was there, just missing a fun texture. I'll be back for the brisket BOI!

The cashier was short with us and said we had to order this particular pizza via DoorDash only. Ummm...ok. The guy making the pizza asked what we wanted so he could start making the pizza so it would be ready faster. Great!! Pizza came out piping hot. Now we had one slice left over. So, I took it to go and planned to eat it the next day. Well, I only took a couple bites. It wasn't very good. I think it is because everything is so fresh and not so many fake ingredients like at other pizza places. This was fine with me. I was very pleased overall with the pizza when it was hot and fresh. They have nice little trees in the restaurant. The bathroom was nicely decorated. At $7.50-$8.00 per slice, our $32 pizza made much ore sense than buying the pizza by the slice.

You get in line, sort of buffet style, eyeball the pizzas on display (lots of variety) and they put it in the oven. Ince you pay and find your table, they bring your pizza over. Easy and delicious. We could see doing a carryout too and eating in the adjacent park behind their building. Lots of parking available. The restaurant is behind 5th Avenue, sort of in the parking alley. Will definitely be back!

Instead of fixing it properly, she tells us we need to pay for another regular sandwich--even though that means we'd pay more than the actual cost of what we ordered because the giant sandwich is discounted from two regulars. I logically pointed that out, and she basically shrugged it off saying it was "only a few bucks" and shouldn't bother us. She never offered to void the transaction and re-ring it correctly, just expected us to eat the extra cost for their mistake. When I said we shouldn't have to do that, she actually accused me of being rude while re-emphasizing it was the cashier's first day. The cashier mistake wasn't the problem, her attitude and inability to rectify the situation was. Then, she grabbed our bag back, reaches in and takes back the second half of the giant sandwich (which she made as two regulars) and gives us the bag back like nothing happened. Unreal. So happy I had tipped 15% for such audacious and incompetent behavior.. It's unfortunate companies even hire employees which such ineptitude. I don't mind people making mistakes--especially new employees--but this wasn't about that. This was about terrible customer service, and we ended up with less food, paid more, and got blamed for it. We won't ever be back. Hope those few dollars were worth losing a regular customer.
