Luis from Furniture Medic stopped by my home and I was completely blown away! There were pieces of furniture that had scratches, dings, and even chips of wood taken out. I was completely shocked to see Luis restore everything to like-new condition. He even had the tools on-hand to repair a damaged recliner of mine! I shopped around a couple of different furniture repair shops. Furniture Medic responded to my online inquiry in less than 24-hours and even emailed me a quote once I submitted some pictures to help me get an idea of the price range required to fix the damage. Service was promptly scheduled and the technician came out to my home to complete the work (a lot of the competitors wanted me to bring in my furniture). Service like this is hard to find these days -- I highly recommend Furniture Medic to anyone looking for any type of furniture repair! read more

Omar, Luke and Mohamed were a huge help in our cabinet restoration project. They came on time, were professional, left the Job site clean, hard working and easy to communicate with. Would recommend and use again for future jobs. Good guys read more

Very pleased with the prompt response and great repair job Luis did for me on my expensive Lift chair. Turns out all that was needed was some missing bolts and he was able to fix very fast. I thought the frame was broken. His price was extremely reasonable also. Sherry C. July 12, 2023 read more

My contractor used this company and paid 400.00 for a estimate that took forever to get. Now that we agreed to the estimate no one will return my calls or my contractors calls. They are non responsive. read more

Very Poor communication, working with insurance so didn't bother to contact us. We put through several phone calls and were told they would get back to us. Never herd anything until we complained to several others; insurance, 911 Restoration....... Overpriced for what was done to my lower kitchen cabinets. The ends still show water damage which trim will not cover. But Good job removing & replacing cabinets without disturbing corian counters. Very hard to work with. Project manager was rude and uncaring as to us as the owners of cabinets. Never worked with any business like it. read more

We are very pleased with the prompt service by Furniture Medic! We called around 11 a.m.; spoke with Luis; texted photos; around 1:40 p.m. Luis rang our doorbell; he had the part and started working right away; our manual recliner loveseat was repaired and working by 2 p.m.! Luis is friendly, knowledgeable, skillful and especially his pricing is fair! He saved us from having to buy a new loveseat! It truly was a wonderful experience! THANK YOU LUIS!!! read more

Furniture Medic? No way. Furniture Surgeon General? Absloutely. My wife and I were about to read the last rites to our beautiful early 60s Chromcraft chair. We scouted the entire county, and in each case, we were told that Old Orange would have to be put down. In her prime, mind you. Our last call was to the Furniture Medic who arrived like Johnny on the Spot and told us not to fear, that our beloved seat was in good hands (well, you know what I mean). Not three days later, our iconic furniture piece again sits with its peers at the dining room table, ready for action. Not only picked up and delivered, but handled with care and completed over the holiday weekend AND under budget. So, if you care about your furniture and the preservation of our most precious pieces, you MUST see the Furniture Medic. And that is an order! read more

Found them on Yelp and went to have them restore the veneer from one of my dining table pieces that got chipped. Very friendly customer service and excellent quality work done. I used a discount voucher from Yelp and was amazed at the level of service set up from using that. I definitely recommend these guys for any furniture project that you may need big or small. read more

So I must say these guys are very hard professional workers. William and his crew were very courteous. They were able to reface and stain my cabinets without any problems. The finished product was nothing but quality work I'll definitely use these guys again and I would recommend this crew to anyone. read more

These are the nicest folk you'll ever want to meet, and they've been in business for a long time. Their new office is in Vista and their new phone number is *** 760.597.4004.*** I had a couch repaired by the gentleman who ran the Valley Center office, based on the recommendation of this group -- the Vista-based team were booked solid and recommended the Valley Center team, since my repair needs were urgent. Read the reviews and then went to their Website to request a quote based on pictures I emailed to them in a wood furniture. Not expecting a firm quote but just an estimate. That was Saturday. Still waiting for any kind of response now as of Wednesday. I'll give it a few more days, but am beginning to wonder about this company..... If they respond and can do the work, I can better rate them. New entry. The morning after my initial review, I received an email response. I also received two more emails over two days and a phone call. I have a rough quote and am in the process of determining it is feasible. Consequently, I am revising to four stars for the customer follow up and will offer a final review should my family decide to go with this business. So I recommend patience in any email response, but they will respond. read more

Furniture medic repaired, restored and even updated an antique vanity stool that was passed down to me. It had been pretty abused over the years and I was honestly pretty sad about the condition it was in prior to the furniture medic. Now it is a beautifully restored piece of furniture that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it is now comfortable and functional once again. I also appreciated the time and effort that went into the artistic detail of painting the vanity bench. I was very impressed with the service and the quality of work. I would highly recommend the furniture medic to anyone! read more

Furniture Medic made my kitchen look AMAZING!!!! It turned out even better than I expected. They even made a custom panel for my fancy new dishwasher. I'm grateful my kitchen is so beautiful, however, I'm going to miss the guys. They were really sweet to have around. Cathy Lyle read more

They provided me with new kitchen cabinets and did a beautiful job last summer. We had some issues: they did not want to take a credit card, although their website says they will. They promised to be ready to install in two weeks; they made an appointment after five weeks and did not show. I had to insist they installed in the sixth week although they wanted to wait until the seventh. Once they installed, there were many errors that had to be fixed; they were reluctant to do so but finally came around. So yes, I have a beautiful kitchen but I had to stay on top of the project and get cranky a few times. They charged the advertised $6500 and I got some quality upgrades. Their offer was "whatever you want" for that price. My neighbor is remodeling his kitchen and wanted to use Furniture Medic. We took his plans to them and they wanted to bid on it. Apparently $6500 no longer means "whatever you want" or quality: they bid $16,000, which included melamine cabinets (mine are birch). They explained $6500 meant "just the basics". I can no longer recommend them. read more

The office out of Upland came to my home in Redondo Beach. posing as someone interested in my business after being contacted by Farmers Insurance to come estimate repairs to my home caused by flooding. A month later I was still calling asking for the estimate. Clearly they didn't care about my business as I was told, nor intend to do the work. When Kim finally called my back today 1/27/17 she disclosed my Farmers agent got my bid a month ago and they could release it to me without his consent. Amazing how after I kept pushing, Farmers finally gave it too me and it's substantially more than what my appraiser was trying to give me. This is a crooked company in bed with crooked insurance companies. Don't let them in your home to treat you like they treated me. read more

I had a few people that I called and made appointments as far as finishing our kitchen cabinets and a kitchen table. Martin came out and he seemed very professional (at the time). That is the "only" reason for the 2 stars. I never received a bid. Two phone calls went over to the office and the girl who answered said Martin was busy and to send an email which I did. It has now been almost two weeks and I have yet to hear back. Edit: Josh called me today 10/22 and said that he did send the bid. I looked in spam and all through the email and could not find it. I appreciated his apology but as I stated to him, a phone call at that time would have been better, especially from Jeannie who I spoke with on the phone a couple times. I do not want to be rude in my post, but I feel that others should know about the communication situation. read more

I contacted the Vista store at 760-597-4004. I wanted to repair a crack in my bed's footboard, and reinsert an upholstered button that had fallen off my couch (I had the button). I experienced really friendly, professional service. After I left a voicemail, they returned my call the same day. They let me know the minimum for a service call is $125, and they gave me a verbal estimate over the phone. They scheduled an appointment day and time, and gave me a reminder call the business day before my appointment. On the day of the appointment, they showed up on time. The field repairman's estimate matched the phone estimate. I agreed to it, and he performed the repair right then - it took about one hour. Every aspect of the experience was courteous and professional. I definitely recommend them! read more

I was looking for a solution for fixing two office chairs that are fairly new, but as it turns out, fairly poorly crafted that had become wobbly and unstable. I was trying to figure out how we were going to transport the chairs to wherever I might find to fix them when I found the Furniture Medic who makes "house calls"!!! Within the same day my chairs were repaired onsite and back in service!! Worth every penny rather than figuring out logistics with my sports car and transporting them or purchasing new chairs. Thank you!!!! read more

After my home was flooded, it was a daunting task dealing with all the repair work and tradespeople I needed to manage for the reconstruction. I was introduced to Furniture Medic by my insurance adjuster and couldn't have been happier. William was kind, helpful, supportive and explained all of the various options withouth overwhelming me. and did an amazing job of my new kitchen, bathroom and laundry room cabinetry. His crew were all extremely friendly, efficient and they are very particular about ensuring all the work is done correctly. The communication throughout the project was frequent and friendly; I was never left wondering what was happening. I will definitely use Furniture Medic in the future and highly recommend them! read more

I had a flood and Furniture Medic came to the rescue. William headed up my entire project and was fantastic. Kind, professional and honest. Out of all the many construction folks that came out to my house; plumbers, dry wallers, contractors, etc, he was the only one that showed up on time and did what he said he would do. I am no stranger to floods.......had 7 in my house. His work and character are the best in the business. He even fixed some extra things that were not affected by my flood and didn't charge me!! I would use them every time. read more

I sure hope my cabinets come out, there customer service and length of time is horrible!!! Been waiting 4 months!! The guy came back and kinda of fixed them, there not as good, but will have to do! I won't be recommending them, to anybody. read more

In the beginning I was very leery of letting Furniture Medic, or anyone else for that matter, have an antique deco dresser that had been with me for years and in desperate need of some repair. Well the future ex made it very clear that these guys were the ones to do the job and I have to agree that she was right. It is now many years later the beautifully repaired dresser is still with me and I never hesitate to call Furniture Medic when something at home or my business needs repair. I no longer waste my energy with expectations of the work they'll do as they always surpass them ten fold!!! These guys are the real deal and I'm sure glad that I actually listened to what the future ex had said. read more

Peter Moore came out to inspect our baby dresser today to see what needed to be done to fix it. He did a great job, was quick, and was able to get it done today since it was a quick fix. The whole process, from my initial call on, was professional and he went above and beyond what is typical for customer service. You can tell that he values his customers and his work as well. I look forward to using him in the future for our repair needs as well as for any builds that we may need! read more

ZERO STARS!!! Don't even bother to call!!! I waited on hold for 7 minutes just for someone to get my info and call me back. When he did his accent was hard to understand, very long-winded, quoted me $1000+ to refinish a baby crib, and LAUGHED at me when I suggested sandblasting the old finish off! This guy was an A$$#0LE! read more

Here's how it started. We had a slight mix up on the date/time William was to come out to do our estimate and guess what -- he apologized and took full responsibility for the error without hesitation. No passing the buck here. We all can't be perfect all the time and the difference is how you handle it. For me, he made a positive out of a negative. The day William arrived, he was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. We ended up having a door replaced, our entrance way refinished and several cabinets refinished. Martin did all the refinishing and the man is an artist. He is also incredibly pleasant and professional. Seriously, if we ever need anything refinished again he would be the only person I would consider. William followed up with us to make sure we were satisfied, and also let me know not to hesitate if we had any concerns. I can't imagine we will have any issues, but it's nice to know they will be there if we do. read more

The movers that loaded my household belongings onto the van, removed a permanent shelf from my antique Biedermeier desk, gouging two of the doors on it as well. I had to call someone to hopefully get the shelf back in and the doors fixed, and found the Furniture Medic on Yelp. I made the appointment with Jeannie, and Mike and Jeff came out the very next day. It took them a while to get the shelf back in, as they had to be careful not to damage the desk, which they didn't. They fixed it all, and it looks fabulous! They also fixed a couple of other things I had, and didn't charge me... These guys are really, really good, and personable as well. Hope I don't have to call them for anything again, but they'd be the ones I'd call if I had to. 5 STARS!!! read more

I hired Furniture Medic to perform a kitchen remodel. They were very professional and knowledgable about kitchen cabinetry and woodwork. My kitchen looks amazing. The crew was friendly and timely. My antique table blew a leg (claw foot) that was in my parents and grandparents home for decades and was pretty scratched up besides, I put up a short review just after it was delivered to my home this morning but it is not appearing so I an editing the previous review. These are masterful craftsmen. The table is gorgeous. I used to lay on the carpet under it and listen to my mom play her baby grand nearby. All the scratches are gone and the wood is alive once again. It was over 70 years ago as I am in my 75th year. It was over 50 years old back then. I had no idea that such masters of woodcraft still exist. I am thrilled with the workmanship that this group of gifted artisans possess . Thank you Furniture Medic for going way "above and beyond" it is very worth the dollars I spent which I feel are affordable as this table now has many more years of life restored brilliantly.
