Left an inquiry with photos of my scratched fridge. Art called me the same day and explained how the KitchenAid anti-finger print coating on my fridge can't be as quickly dealt as other stainless steal products without the coating can. It seems like the scratches are coming from the coating rather than the steel. Art kindly explained that it'll be more cost efficient to buy a new fridge door rather than stripping the anti fingerprint coating on the entire fridge to make the fridge look aesthetic. Art provided recommendations on temporary fixes and another fridge appliance seller I could contact. I so appreciate Art's time, consideration, and honest opinions. 10/10 recommend Artechs!! read more

Incredible quality - Barry the creator and TV guy for Scratch-B-gone handled my case for restoring a mirror finish and it came out impeccable. Fortunate to have him local to the area for restoring any metal finishes needed. Though generally takes on large projects for government and cities across the US I was a one-off situation that he agreed to take on and I appreciate his candid and friendly demeanor. Will come back again for his service read more

Barry and his team did an incredible job restoring my brass-rimmed glass coffee table. The brass had not been polished in years and was showing really significant signs of irreparable damage...or so I thought! Barry came out to give me an estimate which was very reasonable. His team then came to pick up the table and within a short amount of time (a couple of weeks-this was around the holidays) my table was returned to me looking better than it had in years! No more pitting or discoloration! I highly recommend this company!!! read more

Excellent work, professional in every way. Our KitchenAid fridge had a swirl scratch that a guest had accidently made while cleaning it. Jason was able to take it out completely. We had bids from other companies, in the same price range. Yelp reviews helped us make the decision toward Restoration Artechs. We figured they must be doing something right to get all those positive reviews. And, we didn't want to take a chance with another less experienced, less reviewed company. Glad to say we made the right choice. Highly recommended! read more

I can't thank Barry with Restoration Artechs enough for the stellar work he did to fix our refrigerator! We had an ugly zig zag scratch at eye level on our brand new expensive stainless steel refrigerator door. Such a nightmare. We called Restoration Artechs. And I'm so thankful we did! Barry went above and beyond. First he gave us some expert advice over the phone to help us troubleshoot, and then he conveniently came to our home same-day for a consultation AND was able to restore our door on the spot. The whole thing took him no more than five minutes. He was quick and professional and incredibly kind, and now our refrigerator door looks brand new again! I was very nervous to have our stainless steel door buffed out or attempted to be repaired, as I was worried it could be made worse. But Barry knows what he's doing. He even invented a home repair kit, and specializes in restoring steel and other metal like on elevators and outdoor artwork. We know who to call if we ever have a scratch again, and I'm recommending him to everyone I know! Thank you so much! read more

We had a wolf cooktop that had several deep scratches caused by our housekeeper removing the grills and scraping the cooktop. Jason came out and removed all of them, making our cooktop look brand new. He also removed some minor scratches from our SubZ fridge and stainless steel sink. Our American Legion Post and Sons of the American Legion Squadron were looking for options to restore two war memorial plaques at Santa Monica High School and discovered Restoration Artechs through their work on the West Los Angeles VA Hospital grounds. After reaching out, Barry came up from Carlsbad while working on another job in the area and inspected the plaques and gave us a very reasonable estimate for completion. Barry and a helper personally removed the plaques for restoration and returned them for re-mounting within the time agreed upon and at the estimated cost despite purchasing some additional mounting hardware. They were installed in time for the memorial services. Thanks read more

I had an incident after someone cleaned my stainless stove with an abrasive sponge and it left scratches on the entire right side of the stove top. The stove was expensive, and less than a year old. I called Restoration Artechs and Barry was very personable and helpful. I live in North Orange County and he was able to squeeze me in before Christmas. Jason came out and repaired it in a few hours. Jason was nice, and gave me some with tips on how to keep it from happening again. read more

I had Restoration Artechs refinish a stainless steel sink and stove top. The people are very nice and personable and easy to work with. I think if you use their services, just be sure to have realistic expectations. I think I didn't because I was expecting a "like new" finish, but the final product was only slightly better. The cost was $525 for a couple hours of work, so I should have done more research into alternative methods before proceeding.. read more

I recently had a kitchen remodel about 1.5 yrs. ago. With it, we installed a hammered copper sink. It developed some unsightly wear and tear issues, and I wanted it restored, as it was a bigger job than just having to retouch a couple of spots. After searching online, I came across Restoration Artechs. My first interaction was with Candis, who was so warm and helpful on the phone. Then Barry, the owner, came to my house to do an assessment. He had two of his awesome team members come out to restore the sink. It went from looking tired and tacky to looking glorious and better than new! They really took their time in doing the job professionally. Barry really cares about the outcome for his customers. He came out after the job was done to check it and counsel me on how to care for it in the future. I only do Yelp reviews for people who go above and beyond and I have to say...please just go straight to Restoration Artechs. They are truly experts in what they do...and as a family owned business, they deliver exceptional customer service! Thank you!! read more

I am writing a review for Restoration ArTechs to recognize the wonderful job they did at our home restoring our stainless steel bar sink and stovetop rim. I see a lot of reviews on Yelp for Barry, Elvis, and Renee at this company, however we dealt with a completely different team (possibly because we live in Orange County?!) We dealt with Kat (receptionist), Frank (lead technician) and Jason (our main technician). All of them are amazing!!! They worked hard, explained all the issues in great detail, and restored our stainless steel sink like new. The issue we had was a bunch of spots on the stainless steel due to tile sealant drops on the stainless steel sink; this happened when the crew who did our floors accidentally poured some tile sealant in the stainless steel sink. After trying everything under the sun including deep cleaning, we almost lost hope that the spots would ever be removed. We started looking for a replacement sink. We found Restoration ArTech on the internet and with Kat's great help we scheduled the appointment ... and the rest is history!!! After about one hour's work and after carefully and thoughtfully applying different levels of regraining, our technicians were able to remove the tenacious stain on the stainless steel. They were all very professional and explained every step in the process. During the scheduling process it was extremely helpful to talk to Frank who reviewed pictures of the issue and advised accordingly. These guys are true experts and very nice to work with. Very impressed with this company! read more

Overall experience was excellent. I found the business from Yelp. I called for information and then was instructed to send in an email picture of the job. Received a call promptly after the email to discuss options and cost. Onsite Technician Jason S then promptly called to schedule the onsite visit. Jason was very professional and did a really good job of communicating the day before and even working with me on a reschedule appointment. Onsite work performed was exactly what I was looking for in a Thermadore stove/oven reatoration that gets a lot of use. I will definitely be using the business and team again. read more

I knew I was a dead man... I put on some water on to boil and forgot about it... then I left the house to run some errands! The good news is that I didn't burn down our house... the bad is that my wife got home to a red hot kettle with a handle that had completely melted and fused onto the top of our new Bertazonni range. I searched all over the Internet then thought of Yelp. Typed in Stainless Steel Range repair and got Restoration Artechs. Spoke with Barry who told me that I must explain to my wife that it's cheaper to buy a new range than pay for my funeral. Appreciating that advice, we made an appointment. Unfortunately, a miscommunication necessitated a 2nd appointment. This time, Barry sent out his crew led by Elvis and they were AMAZING. After 40 minutes, you couldn't tell that there had been any damage. The crew was very professional, friendly and competent... My only suggestion is to get a quote before the work starts... they aren't cheap but, since they had to come up to Hollywood from Carlsbad and they saved our $4000 range and possibly my life, it was worth every penny. Highest recommendations for this company. read more

Restoration Artechs ROCKS!!!! I started a kitchen remodel in July 2016. I bought stainless steel appliances which included a sink and WOLF range top. During the installation of the sink, the installer set the granite on top of the sink and then pulled it forward! It left a 3" wide scratch on top on my pristine new sink!!! I was not happy. The installer tried to fix it and left not only the scratches but arched graining. Then during the installation of my range hood, instead of covering the stove before cutting the hole for the vent, it was covered after the hole was cut. Needless to say the stove was totally scratched up. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!!! My crowning jewel of my new kitchen looked like a 2nd hand stove that I picked up at at a discount center. I was devastated and angry! How could people be so careless with other people's appliances. I thought I would have to live with this then I found Artechs. I spoke with Barry via phone and email several times, and we were finally able to get an appointment set. Carlos, the technician, came to my house on a Saturday and took about 30 minutes to totally restore my appliances. It was AMAZING!!! It was not cheap by any means, but if you want your stainless steel appliances to look a certain way, it is totally worth the $$$. I now have them on speed dial. read more

Restoration Artechs is amazing. It was just an all around great experience beginning with my initial phone call to Kathryn to the restoration completion by Elvis. Elvis restored my stainless sink, stovetop & refrigerator. They look like brand new appliances! The sink was marred with scratches as well as white calcium stains. I did not have high hopes for this sink, but Elvis restored it & all 3 appliances in about an hour. I could not be happier with the results. Seriously, call this company. You will not be disappointed! read more

Miracle Workers!! My gorgeous stainless steel dining table was badly damaged by the moving company in our recent move. I thought there was no hope of finding someone to repair it. Barry is so knowledgeable about all stainless steel products and a true professional. I feel extremely lucky to have found this company! read more

i called 2 days 10 times to Barry for their product information. a guy name "stud" keep ridiculously interrupt my call!!

We were in desperate need of some assistance with a rare zinc countertop that had been mucked up by an overly zealous brillo pad handler. Two separate roads lead me to Barry and his crew at Restoration Artechs. The first was his amazing product, Scratch-B-Gone. The second was a guy in my area known to be a stainless steel wiz. The wiz looked at my counter and said that there was only one guy in all of California that could probably restore our counter space..."this guy Barry in San Diego."The answer was clear. I contacted Barry, and right away, you knew he was passionate about his work. He was on the phone with me, seemingly getting giddy about the project. He exhumed pride over his crew and what they had to offer. His knowledge on the subject was unparalleled. The price seemed unreal; half of what others had quoted online. Kat, who's in their office was keeping me in the loop minute-by-minute via email and phone...she seamlessly strung the project together and kept us updated, reassured and excited. Fast forward to when Elvis and Renee showed up...these guys came from San Diego to Los Angeles, took one look at our kitchen and walked us through the whole process, from start to finish. Every step was explained in lay terms, every decision was discussed, from pros to cons, from the "here's what I would do in my own home," to "this will end up causing you a headache down the line." The guys are real craftsmen, genuine artists who really take ownership over their work and treat your home like their own. The counter was completed in no time! They even touched up some dings (more like bangs) here and there around the kitchen, for good measure. The work was unreal...our kitchen looks brand spanking new! I was given a tutorial on how to maintain the new surfaces, with real hands on learning. I never would imagine someone allowing me to scratch the work they just produced only to let me explore some of my new found restoration skills. This crew comes with the highest level of endorsement. I cannot imagine having this work done by any other team of craftsmen. Thank you to Barry, Kat, Elvis and Renee for the help! read more
