Furniture Fair is a great chain of furniture stores with reasonable prices and good quality. I have bought a lot of different types of furniture here over the years and have always been satisfied about the quality. Complaints: 1. I assume that the sales people here work on commission. You can never get rid of the sales people! They just follow you around, even when you tell them that you don't need help. 2. When you are ready to check out, the process takes a long time. Their computer systems are outdated and you have to make multiple stops and several desks to complete your purchase. 3. If you are getting delivery, you only get to choose the day, not the time of day for it to be delivered. They call you with a 2 hour window for the arrival the day before, but if you have a life, these conditions are hard to plan around. But I still go here for the reasonably priced, quality furniture and am not deterred by the issues above. read more

Customer service was, o.k. Prices are high. We bought an Amish dresser for a ridiculous amount, but that's on us, not the store. We had stars in our eyes when we saw it on the showroom floor. Waited well over 6 weeks for it to be built - expected, But you would think that the manufacturer would have at least cleaned out the dust and little piles of sawdust from the the drawers before sending it to the customer. read more

We went to look at Furnitue and the sales lady followed us around the entire store watching us. She held back as if we didnt notice. When we went down to first floor and then came back up she continues to follow us. We just left. Too stalkerish and unprofessional. Just let me know your there if you need me and go about your way. This experience has been a hot mess. My wife and I purchased a nice couch March 2021. No issues with the purchase everything went smoothly. The wait time on the couch was 25 weeks, which we were ok with due to covid. Come September when our couch was delivered. We only received half of the couch we ordered (and half a couch we did Not). After speaking with management, we were informed they ordered only half of our couch correctly. Furniture Fair was unable to expedite a new order to correct their mistake. We were informed it would be an additional 25 weeks to receive the couch we had originally ordered. My wife and I decided to have the couch returned with a refund. Within 3 days they came to pick up the mis-ordered couch. We opted to be reimbursed via Check through the mail. After 2 weeks of no check, I called to ask if the check had been mailed. I was told they didn't mail it and I needed to return to the store for my reimbursement. However, in the 2weeks we were waiting, No One had contacted us to inform us of this change. Due to our lack of telepathy we were a bit frustrated in this lack of communication. After talking to management again, we were informed we would receive a confirmation email when our check will be in the mail (via snail mail, they refused to first class or overnight our check). We unfortunately will not be future customers of Furniture Fair. To add Insult to Injury, the half of the couch they did order correctly was nice and comfy. read more

Worst customer service after the sale. Did not return phone calls or emails when there was an issue with the delivery and pickup of damaged products. Customer service needs training in how to better manage communication with customers. I had to call a couple times to find out where my furniture was and when it was to be delivered. Specifically took a day off to wait to have a damaged piece returned and never received an email delivery time so had to call myself to ask when it was being delivered and was given a set time. That time came and went and had to call back only to be given another set time and when that time came and went, had to be given another time. They still were late another 45 mins. Delivery guys delivered furniture but were not knowledgeable in how to put some of the furniture together. We had to end up redoing some of the screws and nails because they were not long enough and also had to level out the furniture ourselves. No time was taken in making sure the furniture we purchased was set in the home correctly. People save their hard earned money to purchase things to make their home livable and beautiful. Furniture Fair does not care once they have your hard earned money. Very unfortunate. read more

First and fore more great customer service. The lady who helped me yesterday was super nice. Now to get to their product. Prices were a little high. I fell in love with a dining table & chair set and I was going to pay close to $1,000 to have it delivered to my house. My husband wasn't very happy with the price so he said to keep looking. 6 hours later I was online at wayfair.com and saw the same exact set I fell in love with at furniture fair for $487! When we first moved to area, we were searching for a bed for the guest bedroom. We like modern, contemporary furniture. We went to nearly every furniture store in the area and had a difficult time finding a platform bed that we liked and met our size specifications (rather small extra bedroom). Furniture Fair in Florence sold me two couches that they did not have in in the showroom but we're showing four in stock It took my deposit set up a delivery date, call me to confirm, and when I had asked them about return policy because we didn't actually get to see the color of the couch because the color that we bought they didn't have in stock The girl said wait a minute, came back on the line and told me that those couches were never in stock and that I could not get that couch until sometime later. all I did was ask her about the return policy because I actually didn't get to see the true color of the couch I only got to see him in a picture and when I had asked her about the return policy she said wait a minute who sold you these couches we don't have this in stock this was never in the warehouse, I said wait The girl said there was four in stock and she sold me two of those, but when I asked you about the return policy all of a sudden you do not no longer have those in stock. I am very upset with the customer service, we brought a few thousands of dollars of furniture and payed cash. We brought a futon back in January 2018, and it was assemble by there company. By July 2018 it was falling apart, and it wasn't cheap. We went and let the store know, well it is now middle of October and it still hasn't been fixed, they keep giving us the run around. I now wish I hadn't spend so much money there, you could of given us a new one by now. Will not ever buy another thing from there and will let our friends know, hopefully our futon will get fixed before the end of 2018, and embarrassing when people come over. Great experience. The sales guy asked what I was looking for and gave me some options without following me around and pressuring me. After awhile looking and knowing what I wanted, he showed me the perfect table for my dining room. Sold! I've purchased most of my furniture at Furniture Fair and will most likely go back for other items. Went to Furniture Fair seeking bedroom and dining room suites. Discovered the store is actually two buildings as we happened into the living room building. Was redirected to other building by friendly staff. At second building was helped by Joyce to find bed and dining room sets. Joyce was knowledge, helpful and friendly. We got an excellent deal and had a very good experience. My husband and I bought our first house in October of 2013 that following February (2014) we decided we needed a new sofa so we went to furniture fair and purchased a (non)leather sectional we spent 1500.00 on it and we're pleased. The couch was delivered a few months later I want to say toward the end of April early May. At the end of December 2016 (a little over two years later) the (non)leather started to chip off of our sectional. I contacted the store manager and he assured me that they would rush order the upholstery and get it fixed. I was finally contacted in April and told they would be out to fix my couch. The man came out and only had upholstery for one section of the sectional and he said the couch was so bad that they would have to take it into their warehouse to fix it, but also told me "the cushions are terrible in this couch you'd be better off buying a new couch this brand is terrible". I told him we couldn't afford a new couch right now and the reupholstery will have to do. I then called the manager right there on the spot to get the other piece ordered he reassured me once again he would be rush ordering the upholstery for the other part of my sectional it is now nearing the end of July and my sofa is still not fixed. I am appalled by the fact that this couch is falling apart and we've barely had it for 3 years although 1500.00 may not seem like a lot to some to us it is and we went to furniture fair because of all of the positive reviews we've heard and that their furniture supposedly lasts for years and years. Florence is completely saturated with furniture stores, many of which are big and fancy and expensive. I wouldn't say Furniture Fair is much cheaper, but they do not charge a hefty delivery charge like all the others. Ashley wanted to charge us $160, while all the other stores in town wanted $99. Furniture Fair charged only $59. We ended up saving $150 at Furniture Fair on our entertainment center which was an Ashley product. Next time I won't bother going elsewhere. read more

I need to update my original review. It seems the manager at the Fairfield store was made aware of my problems, and he called me to apologize and offer a refund of the $25.00 delivery fee I paid. He said that the store was in the process of fixing whatever internal problem caused the mix-up, and he appreciated my review for helping them realize they had a problem. I have to say I was floored to get that call as I assumed no one at Furniture Fair cared. I am taking my $25.00 refund and rethinking my original plan of never going there again. The store should be calld Furniture Unfair - we went to purchase a sofa because the tags said there was a Veteran's appreciation sale - $11 dollar delivery. Come to find out it only applied if you purchased over $1199 - which WAS NOT stated on the tag. Nice job honoring the veterans - we'll never go back. read more

My husband and I purchased two bar stools from Furniture Fair as a gift for our son. We were informed that they did not have any on premise but would order them to be delivered from the warehouse. Once they were delivered to the furniture store, my husband went to pick them up and take them to our son's house. However, when he got there he found out that we had to assemble them. This was not shared with us by the sales person and we would not have purchased them if we had known about this up front. I did call Furniture Fair and complain and informed the them that this was deceptive and we would have never purchased them if we had known they were not put together. We have purchased several rooms of furniture from them for both ourselves and our son and daughter for gifts.
