I highly encourage anyone reading reviews of this store to look beyond the customer reviews of…read moreexperience in the store and read the reviews of those who have had issues with this furniture post-purchase. My husband and I have only shopped WG&R since moving to WI years ago but after their clear lack of customer care, we'll no longer shop there in the future. Last summer we spent a significant amount at WG&R after the purchase of our new home. We were encouraged to purchase furniture insurance. Not even a year later we noticed the seam was separating on one of the cushions of the new couch. After an hour-long call, with the 3rd party insurance, we were told seam separation is not covered. We went back to WG&R who sent a service tech to our home to evaluate the tear and were told that it will be up to the manufacturer to decide who covers the repair. If we had to pay for a new cover, it would be ~ $40. Days later a text from WG&R customer service team said it would cost $120 to replace the cushion, and it its our responsibility. We asked WG&R to cover this cost because we paid $600 for furniture insurance pushed by the sales rep, emphasizing that it covers up to $14,000 in repairs. We were scammed for spending money on insurance to be told a poorly made couch cushion is on us to pay for the repair. We hoped WG&R would be in support of taking care of its customers. After back-and-forth texts with support, they treated it as a bargaining stage that WG&R will cover half, and we should cover the rest. WG&R clearly puts profit ahead of its customers. As it stands, we are not going to pay for a replacement. We'll keep the ugly hole in our couch cushion (that cannot be flipped to hide because it is angled) which will serve as a negative marketing piece for WG&R as people in our social network will be witness to the quality when they come over to visit. Save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere.

Apparently I have a history of buying very large antiques from The Harp Gallery…read more Several years ago, I purchased a grandfather clock from them through eBay. Unfortunately, the shipping company they were using at the time managed to do the impossible and lose an entire grandfather clock somewhere between Wisconsin and Kansas. To this day, I have no idea where it ended up, but I never blamed The Harp Gallery for that fiasco. Fast forward to this year: I spotted a magnificent Wooton desk on Facebook, immediately went to The Harp Gallery's website, called the store, and bought it before someone else could beat me to it. This time, Harp handled the delivery themselves, and the entire experience was flawless. Communication was excellent, the desk arrived exactly as described, and the delivery team was outstanding. They were professional, careful, courteous, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was placed exactly where it needed to be. Buying a 19th-century Wooton desk isn't exactly an everyday purchase, but Harp made the process remarkably easy. The desk was fairly priced, the service was exceptional, and the entire transaction reminded me why they've earned such a strong reputation. If you're looking for quality antiques and people who genuinely care about getting them safely into your home, I highly recommend The Harp Gallery. And if anyone happens to spot an antique French Morbier clock wandering around somewhere between Wisconsin and Kansas, please let me know. It's probably mine.
