He needs more compassion, I was scared to have a liposuction procedure after finding out I had a hernia! that was pointed out by him. I also have a spine full of fusions, eight to be exact! After booking my procedure with him a few days laterI tried to cancel due to my fears. I cannot lay on my stomach more than a few minutes knowing my body starts to go into spasms, which could take up to a month with medication for pain, and any kind of relief to pass. Also the fear of him probing around my body and my abdomen knowing now that I have a hernia! With all this fear going into a surgery with the doctor, I wanted to cancel!! Dr Funt would not let me cancel. He told me that was not a reason for me to cancel. It was a fear.!! I ended up having to cancel anyway, because I could not take the stress anymore, and then started having more problems than I needed!! Now I'm trying to get back $3500 that the doctor refuses to release because I canceled the surgery!! I feel this doctor has shown no compassion or professionalism when it comes to his patience. I presented Dr Funt with a unique cosmetic case, wanting an improved appearance of both my nose and ears. My aesthetic concern was that my nose was protruding downwards when I smiled, as the excessive slope was especially noticeable from the profile view. As I wanted to change the appearance of my nose, I also wanted to make everything proportional, as my ears were protruding excessively outward. I was a little anxious about having plastic surgery but after looking in the mirror at age 73 and not being happy with what I saw, I decided that it was finally time to do something about it. Several years back, I knew someone who had eyelid surgery known as "Blepharoplasty". I asked her for the name of the doctor who had done the surgery because her eyelids looked great. I wrote down his name and put it away. Last year when I finally decided to have the surgery, I called my dermatologist's office because the esthetician who worked there also had this surgery and her eyes also looked great. Believe it or not, it was the same doctor, Dr. David Funt. When I went to Dr. Funt for my consultation, everybody in the office immediately made me feel comfortable. As soon as I sat down, and he came in he asked me why I was there. I explained that I did not like the fact that my eyelids were sagging at age 73. He suggested a brow lift and blepharoplasty.
