We recently visited Harder Kulm, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Located above the…read morebeautiful town of Interlaken, this panoramic viewpoint offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, lakes, and the iconic Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks. The journey to the top is an adventure in itself taking a funicular ride from Interlaken up to the summit ( there happens to be a pretty steep hike as well that can take you up there) was smooth, comfortable, and gave us our first taste of the stunning alpine scenery. Once at the top, we were greeted with a 360-degree vista that truly took our breath away. The observation platform is perfect for photos, and we spent quite a while just soaking in the views. We also had a chance to explore the area a little more, with well-maintained paths leading to even more scenic spots around the summit. One of the highlights was the viewing platform's ( also referred to as the two lakes bridge as you get to see the Thun and Brienz lakes) glass floor.Stepping out onto it felt like flying over the town of Interlaken, and it was a thrilling experience. For those who are a bit more adventurous, there also are a couple of hikes around ( one's simple the other being a challenging strenuous hike) where you can feel completely surrounded by nature and mountains. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the warm atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a relaxing day out or an adventure in the mountains, Harder Kulm delivers both in spades. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area and it's definitely worth the visit!

If you want to get the best views of the Alps you have to visit Herder Kulm…read more We took a trolly ride up the mountains and it gave us a nice view of Interlaken. The ride up took maybe 10 minutes. Harder Kulm had a restaurant and shop at the top of the mountain. We ended up eating at the restaurant and the food was great. There are also plenty of hiking opportunities so you can get a nice workout. If only have time to do one activity in Interlaken, visit Harder Kulm!!!

We visited the First Cliff Walk in Grindelwald in the late afternoon, taking the cable car up…read morearound 5:15 PM. The ride up was quite foggy, and we weren't sure if we'd be able to see anything at the top but thankfully, the clouds began to clear just enough to enjoy the views. The Cliff Walk itself is an exhilarating experience, with a secure metal walkway clinging to the edge of the mountain and a sky-high viewing platform that offers dramatic vistas (when the weather cooperates). Even in the fog, the atmosphere was magical, mystical, almost otherworldly, the dramatic drop-offs and the walkway clinging to the cliffside created an unforgettable experience. While on our way up and then at the summit, we could hear the soft clanging of cowbells echoing through the fog as it turns out, there were cows peacefully grazing high up in the alpine meadows, completely unbothered by the clouds or the altitude. It was surreal and strangely calming. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to make it to the lake, but the walk alone was well worth the trip. Just a heads-up: if you're hoping to hike further, it's best to arrive earlier in the day to allow time for both the walk and the trail to the lake. Absolutely recommend it and event the faint of the heart can make the most out their visit on the top and at the cliff walk.

It is a bit expensive unless you plan to spend the whole day at the top and do other activities…read moresuch as hike to the lake once at the top - which is the only other free activity. If you want to parasail or do any of the bikes/carts they are an additional cost. We only did this because we has limited tim and were told it was a great view - which is true. One a clear, sunny day you can see for miles. It is another 50 minutes to hike to the alpine lake which we didn't realize we could do until we got up there but, we didn't have the time to do it. Get there as early as possible - like right as they open or you will be standing in line to get you photo on the edge.

Such a missed opportunity to do something great - super location, great mechanics yet ownership…read morethat only cares about squeezing every penny out of each customer. I spent thousands of dollars there over the last couple of years and really found the mechanics top notch. But the first time I had a problem, it could have been simply solved and the owner wouldn't even address it. I was shocked after being a loyal customer I could only image how he must gauge tourists. When I told him about the issue I never asked for a specific resolution (just wanted to let the owner Martin, know I was charged for work I didn't request and the work I did request was never done) he had the chance to take accountability and make it right. Instead he told me any problems were between me and the employees he "had nothing to do with it". A terribly spineless way to run a business. Imagine bringing your car in for a brake job and because the mechanics thought it was old looking they give you a new paint job but never do the brakes!! Stay away from here, there is a great shop in Les Houches and a super place in Sallanches.

I went to Zero G for boots and came out with a whole new set: board, boots and bindings! I am so happy with the quality of my new equipment. Of all the used bike sales and bike auctions I've been to, this was by far the best --- and,…read moresurprisingly, the mellowest. Need a basic used city bike for getting to class and back? CHF 150. Want something simple to leave at the train station? CHF 100. Want an almost-new commuter with a working generator and V-brakes? CHF 400. Want a nicer bike for weekend rides? Well, that's a little trickier... Test rides are easy --- bring an ID to leave with the gatekeeper, and pop across the street for a few minutes. Checkout couldn't be simpler (as long as you bring cash) --- each bike has the no-haggle price on a form, along with the owner's name. You take the bike to the checkout stand, pay your money, and get your receipt; the operators deal with giving the money to the seller, so you don't need to wait for them to make change. No cards accepted, though --- so bring plenty of large bills, so nobody beats you to a good bike while you're at the Bancomat. I was looking for a good heavy-duty commuter for my wife, and a nice mountain bike for Altberg (and occasionally Üetliberg). The first one was easy --- quickly narrowed it down to a few, and picked a good one. The mountain bike was more of a stretch --- there were a few around, but several were too large, one was too downhill-oriented (I can live without three chainrings, but do need two), and many, many were too old (I'm trading up from a late-90s steel hardtail --- I don't need another). Did eventually find a 2005 Specialized FSR that had been pressed into city duty --- it's back in the mud and woods now.
