First time flyer! ....but won't be my last. Bernie and the staff were great to talk to on the way to the jump point. So funny and relaxing. Hang gliding (instead of paragliding) is definitely the way to go! Would recommend the highest tier video package. Lot of great pics and videos to share. had a blast hanggliding with bo bernie and luke today! bernie was extra understanding and accommodating in terms of scheduling. we were coming from luzern and were delayed a few hours. thanks again guys for taking us at the end of the day! We were picked up from Interlaken Ost and driven to the landing area where we loaded the hanggliders up and drove to a hill in the mountains. Took a ton of pictures and then we are off to fly. past the initial three seconds of fear it's a nice smooth scenic flight over the lake. Bo was an awesome pilot, he was knowledgeable, fun, and welcoming. The entire experience was amazing. Less nervewrecking than falling backwards out of an airplane, and more adrenaline than paragliding. These guys know what they are doing, I highly recommend this experience. read more

After seeing many tourists hang glide and paraglide into the field in the center of town my wife and I were inspired to do a little research to see what the aerial hype was all about. We quickly learned that while these other providers land in the center of town there was a more experienced outfitter which flew a road less traveled which lead to better views, fewer crowds and more time in the air. Despite some hesitation that we might be paying for an overly tourist activity, we decided the views alone would be worth it and booked with Hang Gliding Interlaken. From pick up, to photo ops during flight, to drop off, the experience with Bird Man Bernie and Eddie the Eagle was anything but expected or what's become typical of tourist activities. Both Bernie and Eddie were total characters who had us smiling and laughing the entire time. We immediately got the feeling they were incredibly experienced but also didn't take themselves too seriously. I particularly liked that the safety and flying instructions seemed catered to each of our comfort level, and not blanketed for the generic tourist. As for the flying, there were two of us and two of them so it was a personal feeling experience. I flew with Bernie which began with assembling the glider, donning incredibly stylish 80s gear, quick instructions and a few minutes later we were flying above a beautiful glacial lake. Bernie let me take control of the glider for a few minutes which was an incredible part of the experience. The flying was fun and thrilling, but certainly not scary. Aside from the views my favorite part was towards the end when we got to do some "tricks" which was exhilarating and you could tell how well these guys really knew their stuff. They also have the photo setup figured out and took fun, beautiful pictures of my wife and I throughout the experience. All in all it took about an hour and a half door to door and we would do it again in a heartbeat. read more

I enjoyed the ride but my only regret is that they did not inform me to remove my watch before hang gliding. I lost an expensive watch while flying as it fell. Also, I had to lift a heavy bag to reach on the top. My hang gliding experience was amazing. Next time, I'll try a different company who will not ask me to lift a heavy bag which contains materials for hang glide( I guess) but have their own employees to lift it. read more

Hang gliding with Bernie and Eddie was the highlight of our time spent in Interlaken. It is a MUST do and deserves more than 5 stars! The whole excursion is ~1.5 hours; during that time you are picked up by Bernie and Eddie who then drive you to the "take off" destination where they go over safety tips and get their wings ready for flight. The total time of flying is ~25-30 minutes. Additionally to flying, we purchased pictures and ran into a slight technical difficulty so one of us couldn't get our pictures right away. However Bernie and Eddie made sure to send us our pictures in a matter for 48 hours!!! Not to mention, the pictures are breathtaking. Hang Gliding with Bird Man Bernie and Eddie the Eagle is a must do in Interlaken and is worth every penny!! read more

It was so easy to reach them to make the appointment, they picked us up at the train station and took us on a great adventure. They explained all the steps and everyone was super helpful!! Best experience of my life! All the guides were awesome and extremely friendly. Started off our trip with some cold beers and great laughs. Even the ride up was memorable. Ava was a great driver and gave us great tips for the surrounding restaurant and activities. The flight itself was amazing! We flew through the alps over the lake and didn't plenty of adrenaline thrilling turns. My experience with Bernie, Mark and Eddie was nothing short of amazing. Throughout my hang gliding experience, they were incredibly humorous and comforting. When preparing for takeoff, Bernie preached safety and showed me tips to ensure that I would have a safe and enjoyable flight. In the air, Bernie's skill was evident, as he made sure that I had the time of my life while experiencing breathtaking views of Switzerland. I was also fortunate enough to fly over the lake, which other companies tend not to do. Due to strong winds, my flight went approximately 10 minutes over the normal flight time. Bernie and the team were ecstatic about the winds, as opposed to being angry that the flight time went over. They treat their jobs with passion and enthusiasm, as opposed to treating their clients as sources of money, something other companies tend to do.
