Class Act Studios is a very special community of people who care deeply about the craft of acting,…read moreabout striving to improve at the skills that are important to being and growing as an authentic actor, and about each other. I attended classes here for 4 years and my growth was phenomenal. Your classmates are Orlando's working actors so the level of talent and commitment in the advanced classes is top notch. They also have a "Foundations" class tailored for people new to acting that is awesome. It fills up very quickly, so plan ahead. There is a wonderful camaraderie here among the students because so many have been training here for quite awhile. They are a very open, friendly and talented group. This type of environment is created under the watchful eye of Lauren O'Quinn Burns. If you are new to acting and serious about getting your feet firmly planted, you will get honest guidance, truthful and veteran insight about the industry, and a coach that cares to see you better yourself. If you are a seasoned actor, your edge will be sharpened by Lauren's skillful tutelage. You will be encouraged in your strengths and made aware of your areas of improvement. It is truly a wonderful place to learn and grow, a safe environment to explore and push your boundaries and the tuition is extremely reasonable!! Do they give 6 stars??

This was quite different from any school I've dealt with before but because of what they teach it's actually an excellent venue. They have multiple parts to their building, including a small theater where they put on performances. We were here for a couple of hours while the one cofounder talked us through everything the school does. We got a full tour and quite the education on how things will work. We also got to introduce to several of the existing students who came to help answer questions from the potential students and their guests. I can definitely see where pretty much anyone could benefit from going to school here.

I didn't expect it to change my entire thinking on humans, emotions and life in general- and all for the better! I had been acting for years, but always felt a little wobbly in my process and authenticity- Marco and Robb helped me transform my ways and I feel like I can deliver more substantive performances now. Plus, I have started booking roles other than just commercials! The curriculum is well-structured, thoughtful and challenging. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, offering clear explanations and helpful strategies to approaching roles using the Meisner technique. One of the most valuable aspects of the course of course is meeting the other students and finding a safe inclusive environment. Encouragement to be ourselves, commitment to being present helps even the shyest among us shine. Positive immediate feedback helps us progress while homework and serious study leads to success. This is not a passive education- this is a hands on, what you put in is what you get out type conservatory, In addition to Meisner acting, the school provides useful resources and information like job boards, how to audition, write a resume, headshots, find an agent and more. Marco and Robb and Sam are the most gracious and open people so no question is denied. I am looking forward to continuing my studies with Truthful as the courses are always progressing with changes in the industry. Do yourself a favor and attend an open house at least and feel the welcome. I bet you will meet alumni and current student who show up just to hang out- because Truthful is their home away from home- where we feel our true selves.

I can say I have the confidence to go out and try to start booking now! At the end of the class, Shauna helps you find an agent and does a taping for you, which is great. She has been in the industry for a long time and knows everything about it! Its great to have a local and genuine teacher, not one of those scam places you hear advertising on the radio lol! Take the class if this is something that interests you and you will not regret it!

I'm a graduate of both core classes of Cast Studio Orlando. I highly recommend each one…read more As a relative beginner, CAST took me step by step, week by week, into what it takes to be CAST in commercials. This class prepares you to walk (or ZOOM!) into any audition feeling confident in your knowledge of the protocols, etiquette and expectations... no matter if you're required to "just react", eat on camera, actually speak - or possibly all 3! You learn that you may be CAST solely on your look, your age range or a host of other things that have very little to do with actual talent. Your professionalism, or lack thereof, can really stand out in the CASTing process. ACT exposes you to the process of developing your ACTing skills. You'll learn how to examine a script, develop a character and bring LIFE to a scene. Numerous class exercises demonstrate how your internal work and reACTions result in different outcomes, connections & moments on camera. A few things, I specifically appreciate: - Shauna was and IS a booking/working actor. - You see "on-camera" feedback ~every class. - Shauna is well prepared & starts class on time. (Believe it or not, it's an issue @other schools) - Although very interactive, she respects your investment & maintains control of the class. - She has endless antidotes to share and is humble enough to include her own "teachable moments" along with her success stories. Last, but not least, Shauna is well respected among area casting directors and agents, as well as other actors. As a result of her sharing video of our final class assignment AND my efforts to follow up - TWO agents asked to meet with me AND offered to sign me. Of course, no class or coach can guarantee any level of success for you... but I am proud to say, as someone who got a VERY late start, I am officially a working actor with an agent who believes in me... AND I continue to work with Shauna as an audition coach/videographer. Shauna delights in seeing her students grow & succeed... not only because of who we are... but because of who SHE is.

There are some amazing things about this theatre space…read more I love the way the doors can slide open so on nice Orlando nights it's like an open air entrance. I love how beautiful the stairwell is going up to two. I love how much they have expanded their food and beverage line up over the years. The sound tends to be pretty good, the communication from the theatre is always amazing. They waive fees if you come to the box office to buy your tickets. The seats are comfy and almost every seat has a solid view. The box seats are the exception so be warned. The volunteers are always amazing and they are so nice. It would be cool if they opened a second location that served coffee because that line for espresso beverages is always really long. I love the breadth of show types. There's always something for everyone.

Swan Lake October 2025…read more This is one of those performances that stays with you long after the curtain comes down. I saw Swan Lake back in October 2025, and somehow I'm only just now sitting down to write about it.... I apologize for not getting this review out sooner. The last time I had seen this ballet... I was in my twenties, which feels like another lifetime ago. Swan Lake sits right up there with The Nutcracker in terms of recognition. You grow up knowing it, even if you've never actually seen it live. As a little girl, it lives in your imagination. The costumes, the movement, the elegance, and that quiet belief that maybe one day you could be that dancer. For a lot of people, that dream gets planted early and never fully leaves. Walking into this performance, I felt that history. Not just personal, but cultural. Swan Lake carries weight because it's about illusion versus truth, about wanting something you can't quite have and mistaking appearances for reality. Tension is built into every movement. Swan Lake is not the same experience as The Nutcracker. The Nutcracker is festive and structured more like a showcase. Swan Lake is continuous, demanding, and far more intense. The lead roles require stamina, precision, and emotional control from start to finish, and the corps de ballet has to move in perfect synchronization with no room for error. It really is the Olympics of ballet. This performance delivered. It was polished, immersive, and held my attention the entire time. I found myself watching not just the choreography, but the control, the discipline, and the way each dancer carried themselves on stage. One dancer in particular stood out to me, Bernardo Betancor. He was exactly what you imagine when you think of a leading male ballerina. He carried a statuesque presence on stage and was, without question, easy on the eyes. More than that, he had command. The kind that makes your eyes go back to him whether you mean to or not. I'm glad I finally made it back to Swan Lake after all these years, and even more glad I didn't miss this one. Huge thanks to Ronnald M. for pulling me into this night, because let's be honest... this is not exactly a bad way to spend an evening.

My child was approached and pressured to join company without consulting with me first, causing a year long rift with my child the next year as the constant performances even at places like country clubs and restaurants did not fit into our family's schedule as we have 2 other kids and their schedules to balance, and added rehearsals week of a showdolls show were too much with school. Plus, i work nights so could not volunteer as the mothers are expected to make it their life too, for no discounts or pay or anything. The instruction was just okay, and the acro in particular was really lame. Way overcrowded and work on the same 4 moves for years. Also, they are laying all over the floor and it's filthy, do not have a cleaning company because it's all about the money there and totally disorganized...lice and athlete's foot run rampant all year. We switched mid year to another studio and it is worth the drive. No mothers expected to work for free, clean as a whistle, no bubbling floors, they pay staff well and teachers are good, more than one show a year without comiting to 'company' and nice people who will not go postal on your kid. Do yourself a favor and RUN! Don't be fooled by proximity when the personalities could damage how your child feels about her talents.
