DJ Duy Does It All!! We had DJ Duy work with us for our wedding banquet this past July and he was amazing! From the start he had great vibes, and through and through he was able to help us make our banquet event great! Duy Has It All! If you need lighting, Duy has a huge variety of lighting and backdrop options to help you up the level of your event space! If you need more mics, he has them. If you want more speakers, he can get them and place where you need them. Duy Does it All! Duy doubled as our MC. This guy was hilarious! Duy was able to help us keep track of our timeline, as well as coordinate with the vendors so that he could help make the announcements. He also added quite a bit of comedic commentary as we ran our games throughout the event. He even purchased his own prizes to hand out to the crowd during the games! Most importantly, he checked in with us minutes before we walked out to our dinner and multiple times throughout the night. From the start, Duy made us feel like we were in good hands. He traveled all the way up to Emeryville to meet with us, had multiple zoom conferences leading up to the events, and answered any questions that we had by phone or email. DJ Duy provided the music and MC'ing for our wedding in October 2023. It was a glorious night. In our case, our venue was shared and there was another wedding happening on the other side of the complex at the same time as ours. DJ Duy arrived early, set everything up and managed to get the sound to work perfectly for our party without any interference from the other side. The dance floor was hot the entire night, it was just an awesome night. DJ Duy is also a really cool dude, chill and easy to talk to. His methods to prepare the set aren't flashy: he'll give you a couple sheets to fill out with preferences, get on a call to discuss your musical taste as well as your guests', and the night before the wedding he'll review everything over the phone with you. He also requested a timeline for the venue but, like a pro, handled adjustments during the evening seamlessly. It was quite easy to communicate with him throughout the night and at the end, DJ Duy wrapped up on time and disassembled his setup quickly and inconspicuously. Truthfully, my only regret is that we didn't rent out the venue for another couple of hours! Everybody had a great time and DJ Duy was a huge part of our big night's success. Duy was highly recommended to us and we could not have been happier with how things turned out. Our wedding in Napa flowed smoothly from our ceremony site, to our dinner site, to indoors dancing at 9:30 pm. Napa has a sound ordinance at 9:30 meaning all dancing and music must be indoors. Duy handled DJing/MCing for all 3 events and coordinated effortlessly with our pastor and our wedding coordinator. He is approachable and responds to emails and calls right away. He visited our venue on his own when he was not available on the day we chose to do our walkthrough with the vendors. The only technical thing that could have been improved (probably my fault in part for not going over this in detail) was pronouncing a few difficult-to-pronounce names when he was introducing them to the dinner/dance floor. Other than that, we loved having Duy. He kept the dance floor going strong all the way through the final minute. We had to request an encore even after the dancing ended, haha which he agreed to! Final note: our wedding also had a few unique elements such as me playing saxophone and him coordinating a background track for the daughter/father dance. I first hired Duy a little over 5 years ago for a small party I hosted in my home for family and friends. DeeJay Duy -- This guy is a rockstar, a legend! We hired him for our wedding that took place this past weekend. He is very organized and he truly cares about your event -- going above and beyond! FunkVibe Entertainment did my wedding in June 2014 and they were a hit! Duy came to rehearsal which was a surprise since most don't include without extra fees but rehearsing the ceremony with the actual music made it feel more realistic. Right off the bat, my cousin said wow your dj seem really good! They provided music for ceremony and reception, emcee services, and uplighting. DJ Duy is, hands down, the best. From even before our first meeting, he gave us this total sense that he had things under control. Weddings can be super stressful, but we knew one thing we didn't have to worry about was the music, A/V, and lighting. The playlist was sick, the lighting was a game changer, and his emceeing was on point. He was also incredibly flexible. Our wedding was supposed to be 100% outdoors, but the forecast for rain put a wrench into those plans. Duy, however, took it all in stride, and worked closely and quickly with us, our wedding planner, and our venue to make sure we could have as much of it outside as possible, and when the rain wouldn't allow us to go on any further, he quickly flipped to an inside setup seamlessly.
