My partner and I stumbled into the Rocket Fizz at Perry Crossing in Plainfield with no agenda and…read morewalked out carrying sodas and candy like we'd just raided an Imperial supply depot. This is what Rocket Fizz does to people. You go in for one thing and the floor to ceiling chaos of it all just starts making decisions for you. The Perry Crossing location is smaller than the downtown Indianapolis store, which I mention only as a logistical note and not a complaint. What they lack in square footage they make up for in density. Every shelf, every wall, every surface is doing active work. Sodas you haven't thought about in years sitting next to sodas you didn't know existed, candy from every corner of the galaxy, toys, novelties, and enough random merchandise to make you question your own shopping discipline. My partner and I have no shopping discipline. We leaned into it. We walked out with Strawberry Crush soda, a Sarsaparilla root beer by Boots Beverages for the purist in me, an IBC Cream soda because some classics belong in every mission, and the item that genuinely stopped me mid aisle: Cholula Chamoy Tropical ring mix gummies. Yes, Cholula. Like the hot sauce. Chamoy flavored gummies in ring form. The kind of product that raises questions and then answers them immediately the moment you try one. The Force works in mysterious ways and apparently so does candy innovation. Rocket Fizz is pure joy in retail form. No pretense, no agenda, just an overwhelming selection of things that make you feel like a kid who just found the right cantina on the right planet at exactly the right time. Five stars without hesitation.

Located south of Indianapolis, it is well worth the drive, especially if you are a fan. The place is packed with memorabilia, gifts, toys, stickers, clothing, and more. You name it, it is probably there. They even have a Dalek, a TARDIS, and a Cyberman. I cannot speak highly enough of this shop. You have to stop in if you are a fan of Doctor Who! And if you are a true Whovian in the USA, you probably already know about it. If not, enjoy discovering it. They also have more than just Doctor Who. You can check out https://www.whona.com/ for an overview of the shop or buy from their online store.

Between the museum, the merchandise, and the mini arcade (which has a few fun games), he was in Whovian heaven. It's not a massive space, but it's packed with charm and cool details that fans will absolutely geek out over. One huge plus for us: they let me bring our dog in! I did have to keep her off the floor, but I was more than happy to carry her just to be part of the experience. All in all, this was such a fun and memorable stop. Whether you're a lifelong fan or just traveling with one, it's totally worth checking out. We left with souvenirs, great memories, and one very happy kid.

I am reviewing a shopping experience that took place in the beginning of January. I was on the lookout for long sleeve shirts primarily. Having lost of weight recently I find myself having to replace my entire wardrobe down a full size. But it takes time with limited financial resources. I came across a rack of grey wool cardigan sweaters with those really wide collars. I waited to write this review because I wanted to see how the sweater worked out. It gets cold in my house when the temperature drops and I don't want to raise the thermostat for cold snaps. So this sweater has really worked well for me to slip on when I get cold. And I can keep it on when I put on an insulated jacket to go outside to feed the cats. The only con is there are no pockets.

After reading some reviews that weren't so great about Claire's ear piercing (just in general as a chain) I had orginally gotten my daughter's ears pierced at a local highly rated tattoo shop. Don't get me wrong- they did great work but all-in after purchasing the earrings, the initial piercing, and coming back in for a re-guage it was over $200. Several weeks later she decides she wants to swap them out for different earrings, but freaks out when it's time to put in the new ones and they grow shut before we get the opportunity for her to chill out about it. Fast forward several months to her 7th birthday and she decides she's ready for another ear piercing. Well, this mom wasn't about to spend $200+ for ear piercing again, so I figured we'd go with Claire's and worst case we'd go through what we did the first time, but I'd be out much less. The gal that pierced her did a great job. We left those suckers in for 6 months (cleaning around them regularly) to make sure she was good and ready to swap them out before I attempted. All went well and I'm only sorry I didn't go this route the first time.
