Captain Jack's Fun Center is easy to find, it has a giant pirate on the top of the entrance of course! It has a huge arcade and a ton of activities to do, so you can spend hours here ... which is what we did. We discovered they had a special combo which is $20 per person and includes 5 activities! Mini putting, laser tag, laser escape, time freak and cannon blasters. My favourite was the laser tag, haven't done that in a while so it was refreshing to do it again. The area with the laser tag is fairly big and is a single floor, there are even things on the walls that shoot you and you can shoot them back to get more points. The Laser escape was pretty cool too, it puts you in a room and it's like one of those 80's spy movies where you have to maneuver through lasers to reach a prize at the end without touching the lasers, so there is a lot of crawling, rolling and showing off your incredible flexibility. Mini putting was also pretty fun and it took the most amount of time to complete. The other activities were not too exciting, because they didn't give us a lot of time to do the activities and it was kind of boring. We spent around 3 hours here - with a break to Tim Horton's which was across the street. It was necessary to get an ice cap because we were all so tired and sweaty after that game of laser tag. Obviously super fun place to go with your friends, and I highly recommend because of it's great price and the variety of activities you can do here!

Ok since 2014 I came every year to this place I used to love it It was very easy with the "token card". And I spend a lot of time there even recommended to all my family and friends. So and that's the end of story I came here yesterday and it was sooooooooo bad The token coins sucks, the service is bs. Ok let's start I got a 45$ Groupon deal which I was very happy with but then when we got there they charge again each person 5$ which was then 25$ so then they gave us some bullshit fun zone token why the hell should we go to another place when we pay for captain jack? I'm so disappointed and that's not the end of story all game machines were broken or not working and I lost 30coina just on some stupid Maschine which was not working and they didn't mention it on the game like please be professional!!! So disappointed and will never go back PLEASE don't waste money there. I will never ever recommend this place!!!

The rec room locations in Canada had really terrible reviews and we decided to look local. Vivid's website was pretty easy to use and book our appointments, we went with the $30 pp premium for an hour (all the standard games + some others). I suggest coming earlier to get used to the controls, it's a little different. We had so much fun, highly recommended. I do love the free classic arcade games in the front that we can play as we wait. Thoughtful touch. Wish it was located more downtown near all the bars and nightlife, this place would be an even bigger hit. Looking forward to the new developments. I'd def come back again.

I forgot the name of the games that I played, but definitely try the one where you shoot the robots. It was so exciting and a bit scary as the game went on. You had the ability to move around and shoot them. Another game that I played was fighting off the demons. Had a blast killing them!! But the one down side of it was that, we weren't able to move around. Just station at one spot, but it was still fun. I'm probably the worst gamer...not coordinated at all and have a high chance that I will die first. But it was pretty easy to pick up, so I can imagine that anyone like me can have fun too. Before it was our turn, we were waiting on a group of 3 kids. Anyone could see their excitement in playing the game. It's perfect for all ages, and another way for parents to bond with the children. The customer service was great! I believe his name was Ken... Could be wrong. But he was super helpful for us beginners.

I love skee-ball, so that was one thing, but the video-arcade version of beer pong was not something I was expecting. The pinball games ranging from the old school cog version, to the 80s version where computers started to get involved, to the modern ones made just this year showcased a real range. What was incredibly exciting was being able to play a number of Mario Kart arcade game races, that I see for three or four dollars a race at other arcades. Couple that with the incredible food options (Deep fried mac and cheese wedges, deep fried mars bars, deep fried... everything!) and at prices that have you snacking and grazing through the whole thing. It's a great place for kids, too. The only thing is kids need to be out by 8pm. But, there's a lot to do before then.

They have over a dozen pool tables and a VERY wide variety of pinball both vintage and newer models. They call the pinball area pinball alley and that is an understatement, as the whole back of the bar is pinball. They also have a variety of other arcade games, darts and skeeball which is also one of my favorite games as well. The place was clean and filled with people. As we approached the bar, the bartender took our drink orders and was super helpful with assisting us with our drink selections. She informed us our sodas were free refills (just in case somebody wondered). We then ordered our meal. We got nachos, jalapeno poppers and wings. It is bar food, but was really good. My favorite was the bourbon wings, a must try! And may I add the prices were amazing! After eating we decided to play pinball. Each one is $1 to play. I was in heaven, although the x-files pinball was not there this time, they had some really great machines. One of my favorites was Tommy the who. I also learned that you can play teams of 2, 3 and 4. We met some awesome people there and played a round with them which was a blast. This place is great for a date night, night, out with the family or a fun place to hang out with friends! They run the pool tables by the hour and have packages for 1, 2, 3 and 4 people per hour. I believe the prices are online, but may have increased.

All affordable to play Lots of cold beer options Fun atmosphere First visit to the new arcade area: They had a ton of games and the employee behind the counter was super kind and patient with my kids. I think there was a birthday party going on. Nobody could really confirm if we were allowed to play so we stayed. Games were brutally short and expensive. I cannot recommend bringing young kids here. Not that a pool hall is necessarily where they should be to begin with. I wish they had an unlimited play option. Awesome hangout spot or place to bring a date. Leave the little kids at home.

We were a bit skeptical of how it would measure up, because it's in a much smaller unit, but we turned out pleasantly impressed. The one obvious improvement is that it's newer than the old facility, but it's been a few years since they moved. Yet, it is still very fresh and clean. We booked our tickets online prior to going, as recommended on their website, to avoid any wait behind others to get started. Sure enough, we only had to wait a couple of minutes once we arrived to get started. In the meantime, we wandered among the arcade amusements you can enjoy. You can purchase ticket packages in bulk if you want to enjoy the arcade machines and games in lieu of or in addition to your mini golf experience. We were handed out putters and able to choose what colour glow-in-dark ball we wanted. We were able to begin right away. Throughout the entire 18 holes, we rarely had to worry about waiting on people ahead of us, or causing delay to anyone behind. It wasn't perfect, but it was a testament to how well they manage to stagger entrants. All of the holes were different, in terms of layout and paint design. Everything was aesthetically pleasing. The challenge level was a good medium so that you don't want to scream with frustration, but not so easy as to make it absolutely boring. I'd say we spent maybe 90 minutes or so in total to complete the course. We were asked if we'd like to have a scorecard to keep track, which we did. It wasn't always easy keeping up, moving along, and writing scores on the fly, but it made it a little more fun to keep the competitive streak running. We dropped our putters off before exiting the course and were done. It was a great family activity, which I'd recommend with any group you might want to play with. They also offer party packages, with a full sized party area to accommodate a celebratory meal. We'll definitely return every so often for a fun, family experience.
