First of all, I'm writing this review because I read all the negative reviews and (to our pleasant surprise) our experience was the complete opposite of those. In fact, I may give so glowing of a review, it may not be believed. If you have any doubts about this review, feel free to call up FunTown in Cleburne and ask, my salesmen, Don and Cole. I had actually walked away from a deal with FunTown RV in Wharton which was 3 hours away from where we live AND I was already there with my trade in. That was about a year ago, I think. So, I was already apprehensive about dealing with FunTown again, even a different location. I'm being so thorough with this review because, as a buyer, I would want to know of a story like this, just as much as the negative ones, especially with so many negative reviews to scare you. I also think, that based on the time a lot of these reviews were written, it was a lot of people new to RVing due to COVID. They saw the RV influencers on YouTube living it up and thought "That looks blissful and fun!" and decided to buy one. RVing is not for everyone and RVs encounter an earthquake every time you take it down the road. Things are going to break. Even when brand new ones are being transported all the way down to Texas from Indiana, they arrive with trim shaken off, things cracked or missing. On top of that, during COVID, manufacturers were trying to build trailers with limited supplies, having to swap out things for whatever they could. The staff could have been different at the time of a lot of these reviews. Also, people are going to take the time more often to write a bad review when they are mad, than a good one when satisfied. There are some people you can't please no matter what or perhaps some people's issues were taken care of after the bad review was written and never went back to say they were taken care of. I'm sure a lot of them were legit, but we decided not to punish the current staff for the mistakes of the past ones and give them a chance. Fast forward to this past week and my wife and I, who have been RVing for 13 years, were about to go crazy not having an RV, especially since we had another trip to see her family and go to Cedar Point in Ohio planned to happen in a week. (We sold our old trailer last November before my surgery at MD Anderson) As a former touring musician, I can't stand hotels anymore, so I decided to reach out to 3 dealers about 3 different trailers. I reached out to T&S RV & Sport in Navasota, Tx about a Northtrail, I reached out to Bish's in Coldwater Michigan (twice) about an Ember 26MRB and a Jayco JayFlight and reached out to FunTown in Cleburne about an Ember26MRB. (which is what we ultimately bought from them). I got both automated emails from Bish's saying a representative would contact me soon. I never heard from them. I got a text from a salesman at T&S RV & Sport and I texted him back with the trailer I was interested in, and that I needed a hitch set up and told him I was 4 hours away and asked for my out the door price for which he said, "Yes sir" and I never heard from him again. Cole at FunTown called me right away. I couldn't take the call and he emailed me. Then he texted me. I told him I was interested in my out the door price for the 26MRB and he sent me a quote. I then asked a bunch of questions that Cole, being newly promoted to sales, needed some help from Don answering. That's how I ended up with two sales people. After about a week of texts back and forth, including taking lighthearted jabs at each other, I started to gain a little trust in them. During I our texts, Don and I established that we were both no BS kind of guys. (side note: My wife's family lives in Northern Indiana where most RVs are made and I figured I could probably save money on the trailer cause Indiana dealers' freight costs are less and we were heading up there in a week anyway) Finally, on Friday after a few more negotiating texts with Don, he sent an answer to one of my questions that was so perfect and straight forward that I decided not to bother with trying to reach out to an Indiana dealer, I wanted Don and Cole to have the sale, even if I had to pay a little more. I truly felt like Don and Cole would take care of me if there was a problem. We made the deal completely by texts and my wife and I drove the 6 hours from the coast of Texas to Cleburne, Tx. From dealing with car and RV dealers in the past, I kept thinking, somethings going to change when I get there, they are going to suddenly have something else I need to pay for, or push me to purchase this or that etc. (due to Yelp's character limits, I'll have to post in separate reviews) read more

I'm not from Texas, Im a Veteran and a private contracting Bomb dog handler that travels to different states with my dog for work. I purchased a brand new 2025 Wildwood 32 Veranda from Funtown RV in Cleburne. I came all the way from Pennsylvania to Texas. The sale went somewhat smoothly and I stayed at their RV park. While testing out my new RV there was a number of defects in it. The grill cover on the patio would not open, the seal on the slide out was unsealed, the light fixture plastic was cracked, the door wouldn't close properly or stay closed unless it was locked, the vinyl flooring in the bedroom was ripped, one of the shelves had a indent in the wood, and the outside paneling had a sharp dent down the side of it. when I purchased this RV I checked everything and none of these issues were present at the time. When I brought it to their attention. They came out and resealed the slide out and attempted to fix the door with no improvement. After that I got a call saying they are waiting on the light trim to come in. I told the gentleman on the phone that the door is still not closing properly or staying closed. He responded that he will send someone back out but he doesn't know when because they are busy. I patiently waited never got a response and about a week, I went in person to talk with one of the main maintenance guys to get a resolution. His demeanor was unpleasant and unhelpful. I simply asked what is going to be done about the repairs and I was told to take it to the service center to get everything evaluated. The brand new purchase has now been sitting in service since Aug 21st, it still has not been looked at. This experience turned from great to horrible. Once you sign and they get your money they don't care about you anymore. Now it's the service department's and my problem. You don't have to be from Texas to know that this state is a great place for military veterans. While talking to other veterans in the Cleburne area, the town of Cleburne is known to be very pro-veteran and I'm shocked that they've treated me like this. I hear so much how this whole community takes care of their veterans. I'm not asking for much, I just want what I paid for and that is a brand new Rv without damage. Now I'm paying for a "brand new" RV to sit in a service lot. If you are going to purchase an RV here, I highly suggest you revisit everything in the RV like you did the first time before you take possession of it because it may not be the one you looked over before. I will continue to update this review during the process, and if need be seek legal help. I also forgot to mention, when they installed the weight distribution hitch they scratched my trucks rear bumper. *Update as of September 27th, 2025, They are horrible with reaching out. I had to go in person numerous times. Today, I spoke with Tanner one of the sales managers, he informed me that they will fix the warranty covered defects and basically stated everything else was on me as they do a full inspection of the unit and it's my fault. If that's not a lie, they need to fire the guy who does the inspections. For the damage to the siding, they will not cover it. The brand new RV has been sitting in service for a month now. No compensation for the inconvenience. Be very cautious doing business with these guys. They definitely don't care about customer satisfaction once they get your money, you're nothing to them. I'm pretty sure they pay for 5 star reviews, after reading most of them, not many people sound like they're actually buying. read more

I am sharing my experience with Funtown RV Service Center in Cleburne, Texas, to inform others considering their services. I purchased my RV from Funtown RV and also stored it at their facility. After a hailstorm caused damage to my unit, their storage team promptly notified me and even offered to take photos for my insurance claim, which I appreciated. Once my claim was approved, Funtown retrieved my RV from storage and began repairs. During this phase, communication was consistent, and I received updates until I was notified the work was complete. Unfortunately, the experience declined significantly after that point. While attempting to coordinate pickup, I encountered repeated communication issues. My service representative became unavailable, and despite multiple attempts to contact the service department, I was consistently told that the individual responsible for coordinating pickups was out of the office. Months passed without resolution, all while I continued to be charged monthly storage fees through automatic payments. When Funtown finally located my RV, I was informed that the roof--previously repaired by their team--now had delamination issues and voids, along with new interior water damage. I was then provided with a repair estimate and told the roof only carried a six-month manufacturer's warranty, requiring regular inspection and maintenance. It is extremely concerning that damage occurred while my RV was under their care, yet I was asked to pay again for additional repairs. Given the circumstances, including the loss of my unit within their system and the lack of accountability for their prior work, I cannot recommend their service. There are many RV sales and service providers available, and I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider their options. Based on my experience, current management does not appear to stand behind their work or prioritize customer service. read more

Our experience at FunTown RV in Cleburne was nothing short of outstanding, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the entire team went above and beyond to make sure we found the perfect RV for our wants, needs, and budget. A huge shoutout to Ryan LaRue, who was absolutely phenomenal throughout the entire process. Ryan took the time to truly understand what we were looking for and personally drove us back and forth across the lot so we could thoroughly walk through every camper that caught our eye. His patience, professionalism, and genuine desire to help us find the right fit made all the difference. Ryan is the kind of salesperson you hope to meet--knowledgeable, honest, and fully committed to making sure you leave happy. Riley was another standout, and we can't say enough about her. She gave us an incredibly thorough inspection and walkthrough of our RV, making sure we understood every feature, every switch, and every setup step. Her "crash course" on hooking up, operating, and maintaining everything was detailed, easy to follow, and delivered with so much enthusiasm. She made us feel confident and prepared, and her energy was contagious. Riley is truly amazing at what she does. And of course, Cody in finance deserves major recognition as well. He took his time to structure the right deal for us--no rushing, no pressure, just clear explanations and a genuine effort to make sure we were comfortable with every detail. His professionalism and transparency made the financial side of the purchase smooth and stress-free. From start to finish, FunTown RV Cleburne exceeded our expectations. If you're in the market for an RV, do yourself a favor and go see this team. Ryan, Riley, and Cody made this an unforgettable and genuinely enjoyable experience. We're thrilled with our RV and even more grateful for the people who helped us get it. Highly, highly recommend! read more

Funtown Cleburne was, BY FAR, the best RV shopping experience we have had. This is our third camper and I was blown away at the level of service we received! Ryan LaRue, my salesperson, reached out after I inquired online about a unit. He asked questions, listened to what we were looking for and made a recommendation on THE PERFECT camper for us! Ryan could have sold us a significantly higher priced unit but put our needs first! Our trade in was tricky due to a roof claim, Ryan made it simple! Cleburne is 3 1/2 hours from home base so we were given the opportunity to stay at the onsite Funtown RV Park! We pulled in New Year's Day and had our appointment at 9 am the next morning! Jevon, the walk through specialist, took us to inspect the new camper, while Ryan dropped our tow vehicle at the hitch inspection. Jevon was so knowledgeable and very kind! Ryan then went to our trade in to do a walk through (and give the pups some treats) while we went to finance. Cody had all of our paperwork done! It took, maybe 45 minutes. We bought a new weight distribution hitch and back up camera that were installed immediately. We hung out and had a soda while they finished up. Jevon kept us updated on the progress and made sure we were well cared for! We were hooked up and parked next to our trade-in before lunch!!! The next morning, Ryan texted, asking if we needed any help moving from camper to camper! Who does all of this???? Ryan, Jevon and Cody at Funtown Cleburne do this (and more!) The Camptown (Funtown's camp store) and the service employees were just as amazing! I can't gush over these people enough! We will never bother shopping anywhere else! read more

Our sales associate was Joe Mathis. He wasn't a family member but it felt like he was. I started off our one on one with my rules, #1 being no high pressure sales, I said if I hear or read "only today" on any offer I will walk out. He agreed, took the time to learn what our needs were and gave me many suggestions. I had to cancel a few apts and he never got upset with us. Today the business had a BBQ lunch with free food, games as well as prizes and free gifts with purchase of a trailer. We went with no intention of buying today unless we fell in love with something which we did. Joe sent me many choices to consider and had no issues waiting for us to get information on our lake lot size so we could pick the best choice for our family. The process there takes some time once you make a choice but every one was super friendly and helpful. We felt no pressure during the process. Options like additional protection was offered and explained by the finance department lady, in our case her name was Angela. When I signed in the wrong place on some paperwork she quickly printed a new page and didn't get upset with us even though we were the last customers there and it was 10 mins to closing time. Before leaving the sales manager Tanner took time to speak with us and like Joe was very friendly, professional and family like. I would highly recommend this business, as well as Joe Mathis who was absolutely fantastic. The free gift we got was substantial and was something I wanted added which made our choice in trailers complete. I don't believe you can go wrong with the team. Good luck shopping. read more

My husband and I just purchased a Grey Wolf travel trailer at Fun Town in Cleburne (Keene), TX. Our sales person Victor Swaim was absolutely amazing. He was friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful. Spent a long time with us. Picked out the trailer we wanted on April 28th. Set up pick-up for Friday May 5. Got a phone call on Wednesday May 3 and asked if we would like to pick it up on the 4th , and of course we said yes. When we got to finance there was one small glitch, mainly my problem. We were paying cash, and I forgot the checkbook. Never write checks anymore. Thought surely they could do an EFT, but no they couldn't. Had to go to the bank and get a cashiers check. After all that was taken care of, Victor took us to meet the tech who would familiarize us with our new purchase. Our Tech was James Manasco, and again another awesome person to work with. He spent a couple of hours showing us everything about the trailer. Took his time to make sure we felt good about our purchase, as we have never owned a travel trailer before. Helped us choose things from the store that we would need right away. Not at all pushy, but most helpful. If you are in the market for an RV, Fun Town is the place to go. Great prices and wonderful, friendly people. Everyone there was great. THANK YOU VICTOR AND JAMES! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!! Jerry and Carolyn Bowling read more

I had a great salesman that gave me a great deal (after several weeks of discussions lol). The young man that did my walk through knew less about the new camper than I did though. The manuals are not specific enough to really help either BUT I love my new trailer. We had to adjust the installation of the hitch after we arrived home to make it where it could be hooked up with out a body builder to do it. And there were several things not working correctly so after about 6 weeks, I took it to the Cleburne service center to have it fixed. Although promising it to be ready in 2-3 weeks, they had it for over a month and I had to either cancel a trip I had planned, or make a 6 hour round trip to pick it up for the trip and then take it back to them, (another 6 hour round trip). When they did have it ready, it was freezing cold and raining when I picked it up and I was in a surgical boot for a broken bone. KEVIN WALLACE at the service center was a LIFE SAVER and hooked my camper up for me so I could keep my boot dry! Thank you Kevin Wallace!!! You deserve a 5 star rating and a RAISE for your excellent customer service!! So does my salesman Anthony Potts. The excess time spent before even ordering parts and the walk through without properly knowledgeable personnel is the reason for only 3 stars read more

We went to Fun Town RV in Cleburne on the first day of their annual show event. We were assisted by Gary Hamilton. We were up front and told Gary we were not ready to buy yet, that we were just checking things out. Gary was great! He drove us around in a golf cart and showed us exactly what we were curious about. He knew we were only looking but still treated us like he would have any other customer. We were grateful for the golf cart ride. The grounds are hug and the selection is mind blowing. They even have their own pond stocked with fish and RV campground. If you buy from them, you get 3 free days in their onsite campground for free. Gary answered all of our questions, introduced us to one of the manufacturer reps that was there for the event who answered more of our questions and took the time to make sure we were able to enjoy the special activities. We enjoyed watching our grandson ride the mechanical bull and catch fish in the tank. Gary was such a great guy we felt bad that we were not ready to buy. With that said, when we are ready to buy, Gary will be the first one we call. We had been checking out other dealerships and were surprised by how the pricing compared at Fun Town. It certainly seems you can get more bang for your buck at Fun Town RV. We will be back! read more
