Peaches was awesome when we got on the water! The whole experience was chaotic, only one of us signed a waiver but no one questioned us about that. We weren't told until the very last minute that we were required to take our shoes off at the lagoon b4 we got off the bus. We had to walk across very rough, rocky ground into deep mud to get into the kayaks. I was very worried about getting my feet cut during that. The rest of the trip was fun and the staff obviously enjoy their jobs. Thank you for a unique experience. read more

So glad that our Airbnb host recommended Fun Brothers. Our rental was just outside the normal operating hours so we were going to book with someone else. They couldn't make it work so we called Fun Brothers. Like the other reviews said, Ian is a master at customer service. His attitude: there's always a way! He's proud of his beautiful island, but doesn't operate on island time - which for us was huge. When we couldn't get a taxi ourselves and had misjudged our departure time, he arranged for a friend to take us to the airport last minute. They open at 8:30am and the day rating ends at 5:30pm. We paid about $95 For the golf cart and a $500 deposit. The golf carts are clean and easy to use. We were given a demo on how to use it. We also were provided a map of the island and the person marked off where to go and not go. You have to fill up the golf cart with gas upon return and the only gas stations on the island are in the north so just be mindful of your timing. They are located right across El Blok hotel! read more

We had such an amazing experience with our bio bay tour tonight. Rebecca, Ricky and Geraldo were top notch! They were so knowledgeable and fun. Rebecca is the break out star though! She was immediately everyone's best friend and just such a light in a world where negativity reigns supreme. They did an amazing job of wrangling 18 people in kayaks and keeping everyone safe and together while still keeping it a fun and once in a life time experience. She didn't bat an eye of having to speak both Spanish and English for instructions. She never made anyone feel insecure or incompetent even the most beginner of kayakers. the only down side is that time seems to just disappear in the bay. 45 minutes feels like 3. But I think that attest to the skill and energy of the guides. 10/10 will go on this experience again read more

My group and I (5 girls) did the bio bay kayak tour with fun brothers and had such an amazing time! The bioluminescence was like something out of a movie! The moon was really bright which made it more difficult to see but you could still see it pretty good and they put up a tarp up that you could go under to make it darker which made it really easy to see the glow of the water and on your hands. The bright moon light actually made for beautiful surrounding scenery too. The best part was seeing the fish swim around because the water around them glows! & on top of all that, the tour guides were super friendly and knowledgeable. The fully clear kayak's of Fun Brothers is definitely the way to go for the bio bay tour, highly recommend! read more

Rented a golf cart from them for 24 hours for $90. That's more than a rental car, but ok. Thorough explanations provided on island travel and getting around, so that was a huge plus! Snorkel gear for two renter for $40, for 24 hours. Booked a Biobay tour at night to see the bioluminescent sea life. It was not explained to us that being close to a full moon it would be more difficult to see the dinoflagellates light up. From what tourists see on advertisements to what we actually saw was very disappointing. My complaint is not about nature, but the fact that we were not given all the information needed to make a decision about spending $120 just to be taken by shuttle to a place where we basically kayaked in the dark, and only saw lifeforms light up when the tourguide put a tarp over our heads and the kayak. Under a tarp is not the way to explore nature. Our guide had no Interest in engaging with us after we asked for tarp to be removed. He chatted with his partner the entire time we were on the water, his voice carried across the currents. Tour guide kept encouraging us to paddle around in the dark, but we were just interested in the sea life which lights up when disturbed - and we didn't feel like constantly splashing around under a tarp just to see the water glow for a minute. so we asked for him to take us back to hotel and he seemed surprised. Not worth $120. Make sure you are informed about ideal times to do this tour. read more

We went for the biobay kayak experience. We have been to the island in the past and gone before but used a different company. These guys made you walk through a foot deep smelly nasty mud to get to the kayaks. Your feet sank in a foot! Eww! If I wasn't put in that position last minuet I would have never done it, then we had to walk back in it after we were done. The guide did not have a laser to point out the solar systems which was a nice added experience last time and was lacking in personality. The guide also brought his drunk girlfriend with him who had a tantrum before we left. Look for another company! read more

Probably the rudest and most entitled group of "tour guides" I've ever met. They will lie to you, and say whatever they need to tell you to make a sell. They will overbook tours, not give you honest tips about the area. Literally every single person that works here is rude, I was shocked. Don't book your bio bay tour with them. A birthday activity that I was really looking forward turned out to be a total disappointment! My partner and I arrived at the time and location required and we sat there for a lil while until they were ready to board us on a small bus. Until then everything was fine, once we get there it was a rush, they gave us life vests and told us to get in the water where the kayaks were. Suddenly we're being pushed in our kayak and we've no idea where we are going and who our tour guide is. The tour started at 9ish pm and it was pitch dark. I felt really vulnerable in the water whiteout knowing where I was supposed to go and then I heard out your guides voice far away. I still tried to push myself but I just imagined the worse happening and I decided to turn around. I did not feel safe at all. Only then the tour came roaring towards us and said we couldn't roar back ourselves so he scored us back to wait for the bus and for the rest of the people in our group to get out of the water so we could leave. While waiting, I saw other groups gathering from different companies and they're giving an explanation of what to expect and how to react in case of an emergency. I did not have any prep to do this with Fun Brothers, they just pointed us to the lake and that was it. If you're like me that need to know what you're doing and like to feel safe while doing it don't book with them, I regret not picking a different company to do my bio bay tour. read more

One of the main reasons we came to Vieques was the Bio Bay. We originally had a different tour set up for the 7 of us. At the last minute it was cancelled. We were able to rebook with Fun Brothers and I'm so glad we did! They did a great job of explaining everything even for us first time paddlers. The bay was incredible. I thought this trip to the bioluminescent bay could be better; we did a trip with Abe's a few years ago. We went out on the water when it was still light out, so we really didn't get a whole lot of time to see the bioluminescent plankton. I felt the trip was rushed and Nelson, one of our guides, was really impatient. When we got back to land, other group were just starting to kayak. We also had two seniors in the trip, and some sensitivity around age and accessibility would have made this a better experience for my family. read more

AVOID renting vehicles from here We rented a golf cart for our 2 day stay in Vieques and I would NOT recommend renting from this business at all. After returning the cart, they inspected the vehicle and everything was fine and they gave us a receipt indicating they are refunding all of our deposit. We waited around for 20 minutes for our taxi and were told NOTHING was wrong with the vehicle. While we were waiting for the ferry, we were told that a nail was found in the tire and they were charging us an extra 50$. This is extremely unprofessional and is in line with other reviews stating they will charge extra for damages that you did not cause. If you rent from this company, be prepared to pay for extra damages that you did not cause. Also, they will NOT pick you up from the ferry even if they say they will on the phone prior to making a reservation. Overall dishonest company that should be avoided at all costs read more

It's really real. The glow in the waters of Moana...it happened last night with my family on our 9pm tour with the Fun Brothers. It started with very easy parking and a nice charter bus pick up. After traveling down a long dirt road you could begin to smell something. The bog of eternal stench from labyrinth is also real...I almost wanted to bail walking thru the muck to get to my kayak but once we got out to the open bay...it was all worth it. The constellations across the sky and seeing tthe clear bottom glide over thousands of stars and the zig zag zooming of the fish's trail being lit up. Amazing. Carlos was super cool! read more

We showed up the night of our tour after paying in full the day before and no one was there. I called to see where our guide was and they claimed that we called earlier and canceled, acknowledging that there would be no refund, which was NOT true.
