We learned exactly how the rum is made, everything from the barrel origins and their whiskey distillery partnerships to the local fungi that grows around the aging facilities. It was also cool to find out they ship and bottle in Florida, and even generate their own electricity on-site. The tasting was the best part. It's wild how subtle additions like a coconut ice cube or a few coffee beans completely change the flavor profile of the rum. Great people, great drinks, and an awesome gift shop. We had perfect weather for it, too. I will definitely do this again.

We stopped on our way between the beach at Quebradillas and the airport, and were glad we did. The tour has changed in 16 years but the welcome was still warm and embracing. Everyone from the guard at the front gate to random workers were super helpful. We started in a pavilion waiting for outr tour to start. The cost of the tour gives you a token to a drink at the bar -- made with Bacardí of course. We decided to wait till after the tour for the drink. The tour was interesting. First a ride on a tram around the campus with Gabriela providing explanations, then we toured a museum which started with a short video followed by a walk through rooms with artifacts from the history of Bacaradí. The high point is an exact replica of the bar at the abandoned and collapsing Casa Bacardí in Havana. The tour by ended in the adjacent gift shop where you can buy Bacardí merch and special editions of rum. Then a walk back to the pavilion where my wife had a piña colada and I had daquirí. Lots of fun. If you have time, the Bacardí tour is well worth the time and the price of admission.

Buying our tickets and getting all the info we needed before our experience was a breeze. We all felt confident headed into the trip. Finding the harbor was equally easy. Now onboard the boat is really what earns this a 5 star review. And even more specifically, our guides are the real 5 stars. Oscar, Eric, Thalia, Naty are THE crew you want to go on a trip with. Each were so kind, so accommodating, and contributed to making these memories last a life time. Of course, they highly emphasized safety as well. During our snorkling we saw sea turtles, tons of fish, and even saw a dolphin at Icacos (apparently they're a regular!) The food was delicious, shout out to the chef! Exactly what you want to eat when you've been in the sun and water all day. Filling, delicious, but not heavy. Drinks were good and generous. Alcoholic and non alcohol available for everyone's taste. Everyone agreed this was their favorite activity and we also ziplined at Toro Verde and did the bioluminescent bay kayaking in Fajardo (also great experiences, but this was just THAT GREAT).

No shoes on the boat, but you can still bring them with you, just got to keep them in your bag. There are two levels, the second being smaller, I believe they said that they can accommodate up to 50 people maybe, but 29 of us packed it really tight. You get a safety briefing. The staff is bi-lingual, energetic, and funny. For my plus size peeps, this is a size friendly excursion. The stairs are big enough to get in and out and they will get your floating safety belt on that body, comfortably. They do sanitize the gear right in front of you, but they also don't require you use the mask and fins. They also give this homemade delicious lunch & of course, drinks with rum. You snorkel for an hour and then spend time at the beach for an hour. If you get motion sickness, take it prior and you should be fine. Would definitely go into the sea with this crew again. *captain featured in the second picture! Thanks for getting us there and back safely captain

BEST THING TO DO IN PUERTO RICO!!!!…read more This is not my first time to Culebra or Culebrita but this is the BEST things to do in Puerto Rico. PERIOD! Let's say I am an avid traveler and planner but this experience was 8 STARS our of 5 stars for me. So off the chart AMAZING! My boyfriend and I wanted to do a date in Culebra but we did not expect this level or service and hospitality. Can not be found anywhere else in Puerto Rico (trust me, I looked & tried). Captain Camillo and first mate Danny was such incredible host that we thought we were on our honeymoon (seriously, tooo romantic). HOW IT WORK: 1. Pre-trip communication was surprisingly detailed and prompt. Will help you with how to get to Culebra. I.E. Ferry tickets. Very accommodating on start time. Camillo gave us great recommendation where I wanted to visit. 2. TRANSPORTATION IS NOT INCLUDED but Camillo went out of his way and picked us up from the airport since we didn't rent a golf-cart so we were very grateful for his kindness. Please don't expect transportation because of this review. 3. Meet up point was in a central area. Easy to find. Right next to the restaurant El Navegante. Have dinner there after your trip. 4. The crew greeted us with a plate of fresh fruits, cheese, and deli meat. So luxurious~ 5. Took a short ride to Playa Tortuga in Culebrita where the water was so clear like swimming in a pool. Brought out the Bose speaker to set the mood. 6. We started to float in the water while the crew set up the beach chairs and umbrella for us. They brought the cheese plate, Bose speakers, drinks, and our phones via Kayak to the beach for us! That was so wonderful because last time we had to do it ourselves via Water Taxi. We felt so spoiled. 7. FRESH & HOT lunch! They grilled delicious shrimp and chicken on the boat for us. Paired with an amazing gourmet salad and asparagus. Don't forget to take pictures because it was so romantic. (last time I went on a Catamaran to Culebra, they gave us cold sandwiches) Probably the best meal I had in Culebra. 8. Camillo took us on a adventure via kayak that's included on our trip to the water pool near by. (I had to pay for a snorkeling tour separated last time so this was a definitely worth the money to book with Sea Culebra). Camillo took us on a snorkeling tour and we got to swim with turtles and saw a stingray. We both can't swim but with a life vest, Camillo gave us the confidence to explore these beautiful water. 9. Also included water a SUP board, floaties, kayaks, snorkeling gears and anything you'll need to lounge or exploring. And we LOUNGED! We will NEVER come back to Culebrita without booking with Sea Culebra again because it cost more and took a lot of time to logistically plan all the activities you should be doing in Culebra. Despite the unforgettable memories we made in Culebrita, we made friends with the crew that made the experience more memorable. BEST MOMENTS: 1. Made friends with crew 2. Greeted us with fruit platter 3. Fresh, hot lunch 4. Set up camp for us with everything we need (Bose speaker, beach chairs, snacks, drinks, phones, sunscreens, towels, floaties). We literally didn't lift a finger. 5. Included snorkeling and kayak adventure tours lead by Camillo. 6. The passion and love of nature from the crew made us fell in love with Culebrita 7. Allowed us to have quality time with each other I found them on TripAdvisor but directly booking with them will help small businesses! #smallbusiness

Besides being a hilarious raconteur and keeping us entertained the whole time, Captain Felix knows some of the best snorkeling spots around the outer cays. It is a fairly priced experience that includes good food, drinks, and is ultimately a great day not at the office. The positives are all over the reviews. My picture is from the charter even. Let's talk about what happened to detract from our experience. Captain Dan drank openly and had at least two Medalla cans of beers on the way back into port. This is unacceptable on a paid charter. Really big deal. I'm not sure what the laws are on this but my pilot, Cab driver, bus driver, doctor, and anyone else responsible for the well being of others can wait to drink after hours. Captain Dan started the charter with a quick argument with Charlie. He used the explicit and profane language quite loudly without apologies. The first stop was supposed to be 150 minutes but was only 70 minutes including the meal; so no beach time. The whole charter ended at 3:30 which was an hour short. The snorkel mask had a poor seal which allowed water into the mask. No legit snorkel vests also. The stops were really choppy. This was not snorkeling for a beginner. I can't imagine anyone doing these stops with no experience. There were strong currents near big rocks. The ladder on back was challenging with as much bobbing as the ship did on stop 2. I can imagine older folks having a really hard time. He can't control water but can pick stops accordingly. The commentary was really poor. We learned about the boat, his business plans, and his thoughts on politicians. Information on sailing, the ecology, the reef, or even the history of Puerto Rico wasn't there. I can't tell you the name of the islands, boats, currents, or anything like that. No sailing chart was shown. I can tell that Four Seasons and Disney are interested in investing in the West coast and some things about the US Treasury. The bathroom sink has not worked since at least a month. He made an announcement about it. I was able to glean this from a few TripAdvisor references. So food prep and guest hand washing happens in the same sink. Get the folks some hand sanitizer. They do a great job on prepping for motion sickness because it will be a ride against the currents with some choppy waters. I'm surprised I didn't get it. I had a good time because I was on vacation and on a boat with great weather. Charlie was great, too. The marina was amazing and there was even a shower facility. I wouldn't go back, though.

We stopped to admire a ship that is going to be used in the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie before heading out to the open water. Ingrid and Dan were more than accommodating. They even let a few who wanted to sail the boat take the helm. One was a born natural. We got to our main snorkel site where we were told we would have about 1.5 - 2 hours to enjoy the water before lunch would be ready. For those of us who had not snorkeled before, he took his time to explain how to put on the mask and how to use the snorkel. He made sure we were all outfitted with the appropriate size flippers as well. He made sure we all had swim buddies and told us what kind of sea life we'd see in the area. The lunch they provided was amazing and plentiful. (I LOVED the mango salsa). Drinks were plenty (water, soda, beer, and RUM PUNCH!) Ingrid also brought out some fruits and banana bread for snacks later in the day. We were given the option of what we'd like to do next, more sailing or more snorkeling. We ended up on a little sand island with even more clear water. The day just kept getting better and better. When we got back to the marina, Ingrid called our driver to pick us up, and provided us a key to the shower to get rinsed off. All 6 of us girls had a great time. I look forward to going back to Puerto Rico and taking on a new adventure. This is much more exciting and relaxing than one of those over priced catamaran tour boats.

From the moment we stepped on board, Cesar treated us like family. He didn't just take us to the usual crowded spots--he brought us to private, breathtaking areas where the coral reefs were absolutely stunning. We snorkeled in crystal-clear water, swam alongside sea turtles, and even spotted manatees and stingrays... it felt like something out of a documentary. And the food... unbelievable. This wasn't your typical "snack" boat. We had all-you-can-eat snacks and drinks for both the kids and adults, plus an incredible onboard spread: fresh shrimp cocktail, perfectly grilled skirt steak, grilled chicken, garlic bread, and then topped it all off with a huge assortment of fresh fruit. It felt like a private floating restaurant. But what really made this trip special was Cesar himself. His energy, hospitality, and genuine care made the entire experience unforgettable. He went above and beyond to make sure every single one of us had an amazing time. We made memories on this trip that will last a lifetime, and we truly can't thank Cesar enough. If you want an experience that's personal, fun, and absolutely unforgettable--this is it.
